Had a great experience back at Cannabis Cafe: the first in the U.S! Parking: Valet is available. We got lucky with the street, metered parking and it was FREE (we came on a Sunday). Pro tip: check the signs and days/times. We had a reservation but still had to wait about 20 minutes to be seated. The hostess encouraged us to wait at the outdoor bar/lounge area but you cannot smoke in this area. Also, from here, you cannot take your drink into the restaurant portion. They need to make those signs more clear/obvious. Once we were seated, we were immediately greeted with a warm smile and friendly energy. I forgot her name, but she was fantastic. Very attentive to the group (there was 5 of us). I paid the $25 fee for my outside/external weed. Some of the girls in my group ordered from their in-house weed/dispensary menu. They had many options including edibles and pre-rolls. The food was great - with a few areas of improvement. We ordered the shrimp ceviche and it seemed a bit dry. On the other hand, the ahi tuna tacos were flavorful and crunchy! The sauce was delicious. We also ordered the cauliflower with Korean sauce and it was divine! I tried their purple drank ("Purple B***h). It comes with a fun purple light at the bottom of the drink. Just a small disclaimer: they only serve beer, wine and soju. No hard liquor. I believe this is due to California law regarding cannabis and alcohol. I could be wrong, though. One of my friends tried one of their infused drinks and liked it. I also ordered one of their coffee drinks, the "Rose" latte. It was a little strong for me, but I just sipped on it and I loved the artwork and edible rose petals. We ended the night by sharing the cast iron chocolate chip cookie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. **CAUTION** It is extremely hot, so just make room for it at your table so they can place it on there. Poor server was warning me about it when my hand got in contact with the hot handle. It slightly burned my hand (ouch). I also think their playlist also could've been a little bit better, but we liked it. Overall, the food was great, the place had great vibes and our server was attentive. I will definitely be back - we want to try their brunch menu! P.S - Please bring back the Baked Alaskan for dessert because I was bummed not to see it on the dessert menu anymore :(

Every time I try to come here they're temporarily closed down. What the hellyon. This makes no sense.

I have no real reason to take any stars off, as we did receive great customer service, the food was actually really good and the vibe is exactly what I wanted. So you can't smoke inside but you can smoke outside, You can bring your own smoke but they charge you. You might as well buy from here, they do have that fire stuff too. They do charge 15% gratuity to your meal and then suggest a tip. I thought they were both the same thing. I don't see myself coming here often but I do recommend if you partake, then try the experience.

I absolutely love being here and was quite surprised to find that it was actually right across the street from the apartment I spent six years in during my early 20s. I had heard of this place opening before as Lowell Lounge. It then closed for a while and now has reopened as the original Cannabis Cafe, which seems awfully appropriate. I will say it was about $250 for the two of us, all set and done, but that included an eighth, an edible, and a bong rental. For a first visit, I might recommend just buying a package of pre-rolls so you don't have to worry about rolling or renting the bong for $40, etc. The food was priced reasonably, especially considering this is West Hollywood, and the place was really nice--not some cheap stoner lounge. The food selection, cannabis selection, vibes, and service were absolutely amazing. I would definitely come back in a heartbeat. Rare for places in West Hollywood, they have their own private parking lot. Definitely come check this place out.

First time here, the vibes and atmosphere were top tier. Weed was fairly priced and good quality. Service could have been a bit better though Ordered the shrimp basket it was nice and crispy good sized shrimp Would come back with friend a

Decided to spontaneously make reservations here because my husband got called off of work and glad we did! The place is really cool and you feel like "Old Hollywood" when you're there because everyone is smoking around you like they did with cigarettes back in the day. The food is really good as well and it also happened to be during Comedy Night! I got to see Kid from House Party so that is a cool core memory that I'll now forever have! I ended up getting a bottle of wine and since you can't drink at your table inside, the bartender allowed me to keep it with her and I would come out in between comedians to drink it. You also get to take any cannabis stuff that you buy home with you afterwards. You don't have to finish everything there, so that's pretty cool too! Definitely coming back!

Had a great time here for a birthday dinner. The first and oldest restaurant of its type in the country, opening in 2019, the cafe is arranged with an indoor/outdoor set up in 3 sections. The outside seating allows for food and flower orders. The inside middle seating area includes a bar where you can order the same. The back bar patio outside area is for drinks only. With a capacity of 200+, there is adequate seating throughout the restaurant. The service is top notch. The Flower Host explained the menu, expectations and rules, constantly checked in on our table and answered every question. The food was very good, every item was delicious. My favorite was the fried Mac and cheese. Our night was cut short due to rainy conditions but I plan to come back and order from the full menu to take in the entire experience.

I made a reservation for 9:15 on comedy night. Prior to date staff called to offer me an earlier reservation which I accepted and was very considerate. When I arrived I was quickly seated. The menus were clearly explainer. I had a glass of Malbec on the patio and waited on my friend. The staff told me my table was secure. The vibe was electric! The food was tasty especially the korean wings and shrimp ceviche was more pico de gallo. Comedy night was a barrel of laughs for me. I needed as I'm mourning my father's death.

Such a great experience here! We came here in a whim and love the ambiance here. Such a cute backyard vibe filled with greenery. The workers were all so accommodating and were so kind in showing us how to use the gravity bong and setting it all up for us. I appreciate that they didn't make us feel any kinds of way about not knowing how to operate the gravity bong. I am so so happy to have tried it and experienced how cool that was! This spot is perfect for people who are new to cannabis, they're great at educating and doing all the heavy lifting for us. The food and drinks were okay. I wanted more of "munchie bites" but the nachos were real heavy and Caesar salad was thickly chopped. Drink was cute but was just okay. Food and drinks were on the pricier side. Service and ambience was amazing, food was okay. I wouldn't come here just to eat but for the whole experience, I will be back again! Also, be sure to look at your receipt. A 15% gratuity is already added onto your bill. When you check out on the iPad it will preselect a suggested tip on top of that. ;) I'm high but not that high baby ! Thank you!

There's plenty of free parking around otherwise you'd have to pay to park in their lot. Hubby and I were excited to try this spot out, but alas, food and service was a little disappointing. He ordered from Helena farms 10 pack for about $40. He said they were cool. keep in mind cannabis is cash only Matcha latte lacked sweetness for me so I added a Splenda. I ordered the grilled cheese and tomato soup. It came out like a Panini but my bread was super soft, but it had grill marks. I was a little confused by that. The cheese literally wasn't even melted all the way and the tomato soup is super lackluster to me. I ate half the sandwich and I ended up just sending it back. The waitress said that the owner said since I ate half my sandwich they were only going to takeoff half the price. That's a first. I've never been to a restaurant where if you send food back they only do half off. Another syringe for me. Ordered the fried chicken and waffles. The fried chicken was severely overcooked, but the waffle was good. Good thing you couldn't mess up a waffle I guess right? Also, the fried chicken did not have much flavor. It had a coating on it but it really did lack flavor. Another disappointment. The service was super Duper slow. There were eight other tables. There was plenty of staff so I would shudder to think what service would be like if it was actually busy here. We sat in the patio area which was covered in greenery. I'm sure this place looks really cool at night since they have a lighting and heaters. The vibe was chill and they were playing good music. Overall, it was a nice one and done spot to try out. However, the food just wasn't it. My hubby wanted to go more because he was able to just smoke and chill out, but don't expect much out of the food or at least not any of them items that we ordered. Great photo opps here though.

This little gem is located kind of on the corner. It is hidden behind tall planters, but you can smell your way to the entrance, if you know what I mean. Parking is $10.00 for valet but there is also street parking in front. The inside is extremely small. We were seated at a small table that was too close to others around us, we did requested to be seated somewhere else. The staff understood and asked if we felt comfortable sitting outside. This a 90-minute table service if your late time is taken off your reservation. The outside area is more spacious then the inside, they also have heaters out there. I ordered the Vegan tacos, and my cousin ordered the waffles and chicken. My tacos were full of favor and were filling. I know everybody wants to know (No, their food is not infused with THC). They do sell cannabis and it was pretty good and of course you can smoke in there. My cousin had a serious malfunction with her order, and we were treated with respect and kindness by June (Sever) and Guy (Manager). Please give them a raise! They went above and beyond with the service to make us feel better about the situation. They are the reason we will be giving this place another try. I truly appreciate them. Once, the problem with my cousin's food was resolved, she stated the waffles and chicken were cooked perfectly.

I loved everything about this place! My friends and I went during cinco de mayo for brunch and we had a great time! I'm giving it one less star because my chicken pesto panini did come out a bit cold and the bread was too crunchy for my liking. I also got a milkshake with fruits and that was sooo good! They give you an extra cup too so it was plenty. Definitely need to come back to try out their other options. We rented the gravity bong ($50) and shared two packs of dizzies pre-rolls (black cherry and strawberry milkshake) and two eighths (frozen lemonade and green apple). Definitely recommend the dizzies because they really taste like it! We had plenty to take home too so that was nice! Our server was super nice and answered any questions we had. It's a great place to spend time with some friends or on a date! They also sell alcohol (soju/beer/wine) but you have to consume it on their other patio. They have games on that side too! Fun fact but my fav part of the café is the bathroom! You'll have to check it out!

Cannabis Cafe Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Cannabis Cafe

    When is it opening again?

They appear to be permanently closed - the last email I sent them bounced, so they don't even have a working email anymore. I'd suggest Irie on Santa Monica Blvd.

What's the fee ? If you decide to bring something too

$25 per person on you're table wether they brought something or not.

    Is there parking?

    Yes

Do we have to buy cannabis there or can you bring your own in?

Can you bring your own weed?

yes but it's a $25 charge per person who brings it into the restaurant

Do they charge to get in?

No. They charge for food etc. What you order is the only charge.

Can I still go if I'm under 21 but have a medical marijuana card?

Hi, no you can't. You must be 21+ with a valid govt issued ID.

    Can I study here?

If you plan to stay for several hours, you'll need to make multiple reservations. You'll also be expected to purchase food, cannabis, drinks, etc. as opposed to just taking up space. It is quiet enough to study depending on the time of day, but a…

    Are they opening soon?

Hours of operation are 12pm to 10pm Tuesday through Friday. 10am to 10pm Saturday and Sunday, closed on Mondays

Are they open yet , if not do they have a reopening date?

They are still closed. They haven't posted a reopening date on their website.

Are they open for dining/answering emails for reservation requests?

Been trying to make a reservation for the weekend of June 25 ? It's saying the cafe is closed? Made several calls to the cafe and left many messages to call me back still no word back...

My friend who works there told me they've had to shut down since there was an outbreak of people getting HPV there and whatnot. I'm sorry :(

Are you doing indoor or outdoor dining yet?

    Both are open

Do they serve food cooked with cannabis/flower?

    Only infused drinks.

If I have my medical marijuana card, can I use it to smoke here?

You don't need a card, you just need to be over 21 with i.d..

Is this place permanently closing down or CLOSED DOWN I NEED ANSWERS?

They are only open for curbside pick up right now

Are they open? The website won't let me order :(

    Closed for COVID

Will the café still be open due to the coronavirus?

I really doubt it seeing how all businesses have to remain closed

Do they accept American Express/Credit Card?

Not sure about AmEx but they definitely accept credit cards and will also split the bill across multiple cards if needed.

It's a very cute and cozy coffee shop and there was no line when we arrived. The menu had a huge selection of different coffee and tea drinks and also a seasonal menu. The staff were very kind and patient and swiftly prepared the Vienna Latte and Hojicha Latte we ordered. The Vienna Latte is so visually stunning, the layers of white milk, brown espresso, thick white cream, brown cocoa powder and Biscoff layered on top of each other against the dark green logo was so aesthetic. Having a sip before mixing the Vienna latter was incredible, the sweet cream followed with the nutty strong espresso flavour then getting a refreshing splash of milk made a great combo with the Biscoff. I actually liked the drink less after its all mixed because it was too creamy for my taste. (I normally like my coffee black) My hojicha latte was great, but it was also too milky for me. So I went up and asked if it would taste good dirty, with an espresso shot in it, and the barista said yes. I ordered an espresso shot and instead of charging me full price, they only charged me the add on espresso shot for the drink! ($1.50 instead of $4) It was very kind of them since it was absolutely my mistake for not ordering the right drink in the first place. The shot added much depth and flavour to the hojicha latte I was craving. Thanks for the wonderful service. I'm definitely coming back to try their other specialty drinks.

They have a ton of seating outside too but there aren't any outlets out there so it's harder to WFH out there unless you're fully charged. But was great for separate meetings we all had to attend. The photobooth was fun but we were so thrown off by it taking 8 photos, we had no idea how many poses we would have to come up with hahaha. I would definitely come back here anytime!

After dinner last night, we were discussing where to go for a second round, and one of my friends…read morerecommended this place. So we decided to come here for coffee or tea and ended up having a really nice time. I used to come here quite often about four years ago. Back then, I really liked their Einspänner and ordered it several times. But the last time I came, I thought it was way too sweet, so I hadn't been back since. It had actually been a REALLY long time since I last visited. And when I used to come here four years ago, I always came in the morning or around lunchtime. Last night was my first time ever coming here at night. My friend told us that they are open until midnight, so that's why we decided to come here after dinner. I had heard that parking here can be a nightmare because there aren't enough parking spaces and people have a hard time finding a spot. But once again, my parking luck was AMAZING! A car pulled out right in front of me just as I arrived, so I was able to park very easily. Another friend arrived later than I did, and she said she couldn't find a parking spot at all. She drove around for quite a while looking for one before finally finding street parking. Last night, we also had some tiramisu, and since I'm pretty sensitive to caffeine, I decided to have a caffeine-free ade instead of coffee or tea. It was a little sweet for my taste, but it was ok. We sat outside on the outdoor patio and talked and talked and talked. We had such a fun time together! However, it was actually pretty cold outside last night. I remember thinking that it felt surprisingly chilly. But what was even crazier was how FREEZING cold it was inside the café! They had the air conditioning turned up so high that both my friends and I felt like we were going to freeze to death. The restroom is inside, and I also went inside to get some water, so I mentioned to one of the male employees that it was freezing inside. He told me that they didn't feel cold at all because they were working, and that THEY were actually feeling really hot. I went back to our table and told my friends what he had said, and they were like, "WHAT?! We're freezing to death over here!" The parking lot here is actually pretty large, so I was wondering why it was so difficult to find a parking spot. Apparently, at night, the left side is the café, while on the right side there is a bar where people can drink and also play games. There was a huge line of people waiting outside the bar last night, so I'm guessing that's probably why the parking lot gets so crowded and it's hard to find a spot. It was also pretty chilly outside last night because of the low temperature, so one thing I wished they had on the outdoor patio was heaters. That would have made sitting outside much more comfortable on a cold night.

I ordered the Orange Mint Latte, Matcha Sparkling Lemonade, Einspanner White, Hibiscus Mint Sparkling Lemonade, and of course, a cortado. I also tried their Wagyu Sliders. Every drink was fantastic. What I really enjoyed was how different each one was from the next. It didn't feel like I was ordering variations of the same drink -- each had its own flavor profile, presentation, and unique touch. The Orange Mint Latte was especially interesting, and both sparkling lemonades were refreshing and completely different from what I would normally order. The Einspanner White was another standout. Overall, it was a really fun variety to try at once. The cortado was also very good. It had a nice flavor, smooth texture, and was easy to drink. Their approach is a little different from a traditional cortado presentation because the espresso and milk are fully integrated together rather than finished with latte art. I actually appreciate that style when it's executed well because the focus is more on getting the espresso and milk completely incorporated into one cohesive drink. The presentation across the entire order was also really well done. You can tell there's thought behind how everything is served and put together, which adds to the overall experience. The Wagyu Sliders were great as well. I think the food side of Archives of Us deserves more attention because they have some genuinely good food options to go along with the drinks rather than the food feeling like an afterthought. The space itself is beautifully designed with plenty of seating inside as well as an outdoor seating area. I love the overall atmosphere and aesthetic -- there are certain details about the design, presentation, and experience that remind me of coffee shops I've visited in Japan. The staff made the experience even better. Everyone was extremely friendly, kind, and welcoming. Overall, Archives of Us has a lot going for it. A beautiful space, great service, thoughtful presentation, a strong variety of drinks, solid coffee, and food worth trying as well. It's especially nice to find a coffee shop where I actually want to explore the menu beyond my usual cortado. Definitely the type of place I could see myself coming back to once a week.

They do not serve cold brew but the Einspanner Black does the charm for me. Their matcha is also good as it is not too sweet nor too bitter. The fan favorite is the Wagyu slider. I personally like the egg salad one more since I am not a meat on meat person but the bacon wagyu slider is better. I would say this place is the better version of Community Goods and does not have as long of a wait. Note - kitchen food is not served until 9:30AM so if you're an early riser or trying to get in and out, you will be out of luck. Parking - the main parking Is the underground structure which could be found on North Broadway. Parking can be quite pricey if you're there longer than an hour.

This was one of the closer coffee spot with good reviews that I found near the kbbq place (Seogwan by Yellow Cow Kbbq) my family and I ate at for lunch. It was about 0.5miles (3 mins drive). The coffee shop is super large, bright, and has nice background music. There are plenty of seats for people to hang out or study. There are also street parking but can be difficult to cross the street due to cars driving by so quickly without a pedestrian crosswalk on one side. I ordered their signature drink which was the orange espresso tonic with one extra shot for my husband, and the double mango matcha for myself. Both of us really enjoyed the drinks, especially the orange espresso tonic. It was refreshing, clean, and easy to drink. Normally, they include double shots of espresso, which may have tasted stronger for me since my husband wanted three shots, and I usually stick with two shots. The double mango matcha uses fresh fruit syrup so the mango flavor was not too strong and my drink was very creamy due to the signature mango cream on top. Usually, I would enjoy a creamy matcha but it made me more thirsty on a hot day. The service took a bit of time since they had to mix my matcha the legit way with the bamboo whisk. The matcha tasted like premium, ceremonial matcha since it was stronger and authentic in taste. Overall, both drinks were enjoyable but if I had to choose one, I would go with the orange espresso tonic even though I love mango matcha!

Van Dyke Coffee Roaster (est. 08/2025) is a relatively new coffee shop in Koreatown, Los Angeles, at West Olympic Blvd. The cafe features a very spacious interior x outdoor seating; thus, it works equally well for focused work sessions, study days, or a relaxed midday break. They have copious signature lattes, hot/cold coffee, coffee bags, pastries and friendly baristas. Their interior decor is modern with long maple wood center table and a relaxing atmosphere. I came late morning to grab a Flat white. And it was strong despite its hobbit size--8oz-- appearance albeit good quality. The female barista who wore a pulchritudinous blue checkered, white folded sleeves that almost matched my blue/white striped long-sleeved shirt was assiduous. I could have absconded with her. lol. Anyways, their service was spot on, however, the price seems above market price. Overall, I had a good experience from VDC. I recommend you visit.

A few different YouTubers raved about ROK Coffee & Tea, so I decided to try them out... and it definitely lived up to the recommendations! The MATCHA DUO was EXCEPTIONAL and delicious! It had the perfect amount of sweetness, the perfect creaminess, and the matcha wasn't bitter at all. You can tell they use really good, high-quality matcha because not only could I taste the quality, I could feel it in my energy level too. My sister got the MANGO MATCHA DUO with oat milk and absolutely loved it. My sister's coworker tried the SPARKLING YUZU MATCHA and said it was delicious! She loved that the yuzu flavor wasn't overpowering and said the matcha tasted very high quality. We also got the STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE MATCHA DUO because it was recommended as one of their top picks. We gave it to another one of her coworkers, and she finished it so quick! She said it tasted like a dessert and raved about how delicious and amazing it was! There's seating area in front of the café and as well as inside. The inside is really cute and had a nice atmosphere. The best time to go is early in the morning when open. Customer service was exceptional! Everyone was very kind while at the same time quick and attentive to the line. If there tends to be a line, it moves pretty quickly, and our drinks were ready fast after we ordered. If you get lucky, you can find street parking, but be careful parking on Olympic Blvd. during certain times. Not to worry though because they do have a parking structure, which makes things much easier. Overall, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND ROK Coffee & Tea! Everything we tried gets a 10/10 from us! The quality of the matcha, the flavors, the customer service, and the overall experience were all excellent. We will most definitely be back!!!

I got the Matcha Duo and it was yummy, but definitely on the sweeter side, so keep that in mind! I'd say it's sweeter than DAMO's einspänner. Overall, I'd stop by again to grab a drink if I happened to be in the area, but probably wouldn't go out of my way for it.

So that's something Cafe Upper should train all staff. Especially if people have food allergies.
