Maybe tomorrow.' No! Not today. He (Carlos) then told GBM building manager and maintenance main personnel another story. With that story, there were so many version, all to his (Carlos's) benefit, I was baffled GBM was entertaining him and taking his word as fact. I discovered it was because it benifited GBM's agenda. Crenshaw Carpet did not want to talk with me. They lack respect for tenants. GBM and Crenshaw Carpet make an excellent marriage. It's all about $$$ and they both lack basic business manners, basic tenant interaction manners. I wish I had a camera because I could not believe Carlos's three stories and Crenshaw Carpet and Golden Bee Management holding/listening to his word as law/fact. Be highly aware of Carlos and his boss. The work had not even began nor addressed. Carlos came in as boss man with face construed and boss man through and through. Be aware of this little man with the huge mouth. It was ugly. oto as you all tenants understand notification to enter said apartment. Carlos lied told different stories to three different 'persons'. To me, the tenant, to his 'La Patrona' and Golden Bee Management. GBM the female manager clapped with glee when I denied entry at 1:00ish. P.M. It is the only time I have seen her smiled in years she has been here. She was super please with me denying entry. What does this all have to do with Crenshaw Carpet? Carlos stated he had been knocking on my door since 11:00 A.M. (Head scratcher.) I have a dog who is hyper vigilant to any and all sounds. He let's me know and goes straight to the door. Carlos wants GBM to understand he was at my door since 11:00 A.M. until he walked to the office close to 1:00 P.M.? I said, "check the cameras". Carlos scoffed, huffed and became belligerent with me. GBM landlord and Maintenance Management allowed him to be ugly with me. So. Please, be aware. I will not get ugly. I will not yell back because I value my tenancy. I will, however, always state facts and my voice is loud. So as long as it is true, I will speak it. -Tenants, be aware of Carlos and defend yourselves. I know. It is so not easy. If there was no Stars, that would have been best.

Like paint you can think something will look good and you'll never know until it's installed. I am glad I trusted James's instinct. His two staff floor installers were also some of the best I've seen. Prior to James I had a carpet installer at another place and the carpet ended up having rolls in it 1-2 years later. AND.. I also had a kitchen remodel where the flooring people allowed water to seep in and the floor was damaged a year later (but it was too late by then and I could not get it replaced). These are OTHER experiences I am comparing to so you understand HOW GOOD JAMES IS. To-date, the carpet on my stair well is still flawless (this is now years later). And the the luxury vinyl plank James recommended are still my favorite in both color and quality. There have been zero issues. They were installed in 2020 and now in 2026 they're still phenomenal (sorry for the late review). We did the LVP flooring in our master bedroom, closet and bathroom. Thank you James!

Spent a long time researching which flooring to get to replace a 25 year old laminate in our…read morekitchen. Found one by Karndean which seemed perfect. Elite was listed on their website as a local dealer and they got excellent reviews on yelp. So we went to the store and met with Robert. He spent good time with us to show us lots of things to consider. We wanted a larger sample of the one from karndean which he ordered along with a couple others. Sample came within a week and we took it home and made our choice to go with our original pick. Robert came out and measured and gave me a really good quote for the product and installation. Normally I shop around and did get one other quote, but I let AI do some research for me and I know his price was excellent and the service we got from him made it the easy choice. We needed to have transition pieces to match our vynyl laminate wood plank in the adjoining room that this would butt up against, and were having trouble finding that. Robert asked for us to bring in a sample which we had of our planking and he actually had a trim piece made to order with a color match that worked perfectly. So lots of prep work on his part to make sure it would all go well. The installation was scheduled within a week of getting the trim piece in. It was a 4 man install team and the lead guy ( forgetting his name) was really great. You could tell he knew his stuff and we were being fussy customers. My wife is very keen to make sure that patterns of the terrazzo floor didnt look repeated or in a weird pattern so he happily worked with her to move pieces around till she was happy. He cut certain ones and not others based on what she wanted and then marked them in with tape and order number so the guys knew where it all went together like a puzzle with a guide. Im sure they can do a good job without the micro managing but its also good to know they were happy to have us be involved and had no attitude about it (which I have gotten from some other contractors). so thats a big plus in my book. They were really good on the old sub floor prep, cleaning , sanding and putting a new thin coat layer on the entryway area which had plywood so make sure it was all level. They did this the right way and you could tell. And the new floor is SO much quieter than the old one and it doesnt have any extra backing. Turned out to be a great choice. The whole install job came out perfect. They got new oak 1/4 round to match our oak cabinets and did perfect measurements, cutting, sanding and sealing on them all. Guys were super clean during and after as it took an an extra 1/2 day to do. But all really turned out fantastic. So glad to have a place that is local, and knows what they are doing and the prices seemed in good and line with what I was looking for. highly recommend you check them out for your flooring needs and they do countertops too.

I have to admit I wasn't sure what to expect when I began the project. The flooring at the house was quite worn in places and had the older orangey finish that was popular in yesteryear. Over the course of a few days, Eldon completely transformed the flooring in the house. Worn spots were sanded back into new. Eldon recommended a Bona Natural finish which brightened up the floor which in turn has made the entire house brighter. He also took the time to drive all over town to find the precise sized wood to fit one plank of wood that been overly damaged over the years. I highly recommend Eldon and his team for your refinishing needs. They transformed my flooring. Eldon was also always patient in answering all my questions as well as explaining what they would be doing over the course of a day. They left the floors scratched and dirty and used cheap rubber that wasn't even cut evenly on the edge of the shower. Some of the rubber was not long enough so they put another shorter rubber strip that stuck out and came off. My husband who luckily is handy ended up having to take it off and fix it himself using a better quality strip that looked way more professionally done than this place. They are also extremely rude and disrespectful when talking to the customer. I wouldn't recommend this place!

Typically, I like using local companies for purchases and home improvements. But using Barry's…read morecarpeting was a huge mistake. I am giving 1-star only because the business was responsive to some of my concerns and requests. For the installation, 1-star is generous. The 3 installers arrived and basically ignored me, the homeowner. When I asked if they would like me to show them the bedrooms where the carpeting needed be installed, they said no, brushed me off, and went about their business. Soon after, I realized that they were walking on my brand-new, light-colored carpeting with boots/shoes with no booties. When I asked them to use booties, they refused, one worker saying he would slip, and another demonstrating how clean his shoes were by wiping them on a scrap of carpeting. Only after I contacted a Barry's representative who called them did 2 of the 3 put on booties, which they apparently had with them, but did not want to use. They proceeded to walk outside with the booties on, then returned to walk on the new carpeting. I consider it a minimum standard of professionalism for carpet installers to wear clean booties on new carpeting. After the installation was complete and the installers left, I inspected the work and found myself walking on large, sharp nails that were poking out of the entire perimeter of all the bedrooms and closets. I learned that the installers had used the incorrect size of nail tack strips, which caused the protruding nails. The company said they would dispatch the same crew for the repairs. However, these workers clearly demonstrated a lack of expertise by using incorrect tack strips for my carpeting, so I requested a different crew. My request was met with objections because someone new would have to be paid. Eventually, they agreed to send a different worker. Instead of replacing the tack strips with smaller ones, he simply pounded down the excessively long nails. There were numerous other problems, like a flaw or large pull in the carpeting, which was never addressed, very visible seams, and a few missing ramps in the transition from my wood floors to the carpeting. Of the ramps that were added later, two are fine, but two look worse now than before. I just couldn't deal with this company again, so I let it go for now. I caution you to avoid making the mistake I made. Read the unsatisfactory reviews and believe them.

Recently we had it cleaned and there was a small problem with a seam, which the cleaners tried to repair but couldn't. Barry sent their men to fix the seam and did a fantastic job.
