I noticed some negative reviews from their old Bin Cleaning days. I was not a customer back then, so my comments are regarding Canology in San Francisco 2026. I just signed up for the "Twice a Year" service, and their first visit was this week. Good Job! I was surprised to see two folks show up but they worked safe and well together. This might have been due to the review that mentioned a pedestrian that experienced some water spray as they walked by. Hard to believe this person was not aware of the cleaning in process and altered their path. The two operators I witnessed were very aware of their surroundings while they left our Bins spotless, inside and out. After the direct experience I just had with Canology, I would not do business with them, simply because I would not want somebody I hired to spray my neighbors with trash water and not even apologize. On a walk this morning with my dog, I got sprayed by one of their people who was pressure-washing trash bins behind his truck. The trick is long and wide. He had completely obstructed his own view of pedestrians. So there I am walking along, and I walked past the end of the truck and the guy is spraying the water right at me. An expletive may have been uttered. I kept walking and on the way back I talked to him, telling him that he sprayed me and that's not cool, and he could've prevented the whole thing by not spraying the bins from a place where he doesn't have a view of people coming through. There are lots of pedestrians in this neighborhood. All he said was, he stopped as soon as he saw me. He did do that. But he had already sprayed me. I explained again that if he sprays trash bins from a place where he can see the road, he can prevent spraying people in the first place. And all he said that that was, "yeah, OK." I would think somebody driving a company truck wearing a company uniform doing messy work would understand that it's not good to be careless about performing that work, nor is it good to be blasé about it when someone is negatively affected by that carelessness. There was no understanding, and no apology. If I need my bins pressure-washed, I'll hire someone else, or borrow a pressure washer from a friend and do it myself. I would not want Canology here. read more

We've been using Canology for nearly 5 years with excellent results. The service is efficient and very affordable. In all these years, they have never been late or "no showed." And if there are adjustments to the cleaning date, they will always communicate ahead of time via email or text. If we need to cancel or reschedule, it is also a cinch. Their email will always include a link for you to track your service. One time, I forgot to bring my garbage can out to the curb, and they took care of it for me right away. My garbage cans were disgusting, long overdue. I actually had no idea you could get your garbage bins cleaned, until I did a random google search and found this great service. Great job cleaning bins! We have cats and although we put the scooped litter in bags, the smell really gets strong in a week, especially when there are some hot days. I am so glad to find this place to clean all my trash cans. They did a good job; it's very clean, nice and has a very good smell. The frequency is such that it lasts almost a week, which is how clean it is. I will continue to use them and refer them to all my friends. I do not write reviews, but will because of the effort Israel went to to make things right. I've got one of those weird Berkeley addresses that gets screwed up on navigation software. The driver went to the wrong home, I guess, and cleaned somebody's cans. Not mine! We called, they sent the driver back, but I guess he went to the same place, just assuming he'd cleaned a neighbor's cans. So I sent Israel photos of our (still unclean) cans, and he came out the next morning and did it himself. You won't be eating breakfast off these cans, but they are significantly cleaner than if you do nothing. And you won't find service like this anywhere else. read more

Canology cleans your grungy bins, comes when they say they will come, usually answer the phone. They are nice, efficient and this service much better than dragging our bins out to the yard and wrestling with the bin, the hose....oh the mess we made! We are on a 3 month cycle, so 4x a year our bins are hosed with hot, pressurized water and as we have to roll the 3 bins through the house to get them outside again on the back deck, the cleanliness is wonderful. read more
