Ms June is the BEST !!! I BEEN GOING TO CANTON since I was 15 years old. I'll be 40 this year. It's truly family owned. The people there are the 3rd set of family members since I was a kid . And they cross train everyone before handing it over . Since I'm a loyal customer my plate runs over. The food is very consistent. Please try whenever your in the area . Although I think the Won ton soup is delicious and chock full of shrimp, pork and dumplings I find it hard to believe some of the reviews proclaiming this is THE BEST Chinese food that they ever had or in this area *whispering* it really isn't. This little spot is in a small strip mall, it is local so that is the main reason that I go here. In my opinion the best thing is the won ton. The other items, that are typical, (orange chicken, beef broccoli etc) are ok, nothing special. They do have this noodle dish named "chow fun" it has an odd taste but I kinda like, but I do not get it every time. the reviews are true: this place really packs so much food in your to-go box. i ordered the combo meal with two sides. if i were to compare this to panda express, i would say the amount that they pack in is triple. and the food is great!!! definitely try the bbq pork. i really enjoyed that one. the shrimp and broccoli was yummy too. also, if you like sweet and sour soup, i recommend ordering a tub here. it takes a little longer for this one because they make it to order, but it's so good and it's only $5. read more

This place looks like a standard little hole in the strip mall wall and in a lot of ways it is; Paper hand written signs, cash only, none of the premade dishes were labeled, etc. But when I actually chowed down I was kind of surprised. You get a massive amount of Chinese food for 5 bucks and change. I got a basic 2 item combo with half fried rice and half chow mein (they also had chow fun available I think) with broccoli beef and orange glazed chicken. The chow mein was more bean sprouts than noodles and had bits of chicken in it but was a little bland, the fried rice however was pretty good. The orange chicken was surprisingly crispy but a little lacking in flavor. The real winner was the broccoli beef. The beef was surprisingly tender and flavorful and the broccoli was cooked but still crisp and colorful. All in all a great deal if your in the neighborhood but nothing you'd really want to go out of your way for. read more

We were staying at a nearby hotel and wanted Chinese food. We took a chance based on yelp reviews and were extremely happy with Canton Kitchen! The only down side is yelp times were wrong and they closed at 9 pm (not 10) so we got there as they were about to close. They were happy to take our order and even let us stay for 10 minutes to eat quickly. The food was delicious, huge servings and great prices! I liked that I was able to order chow fun (or rice or chow mien) for my combo. They even helped someone after us. I definitely plan to go next time I make a trip to LA! read more

Most of what I ate was good. I liked the chow mein and the broccoli beef. But my real reason I came was for the egg foo yung. This dish is very hard to find in this city. Especially a tasty attempt of making it. I noticed right away the patty was well formed. Not like some where the patty looked like a hugh omelette. The gravy was very tasty but the patty was quite tasteless and no amount of gravy could fix it. I reviewed Canton Kitchen here about 2 1/2 years ago. At that time I had eaten there hundreds of times. I couldn't even begin to guess where the number is at now. I'm basically upgrading my rating from 4 to 5 stars. The main reason for that- Miss Mae (or is it May?). She is awesome. She's been working at Canton for about 2 years or so. She's very generous with her portions, and even though her English isn't the greatest, she always goes above and beyond to make sure the customer is happy. Also I discovered their Teriyaki Chicken because of Mae. I used to never order it, choosing the Mushroom or Green bean Chicken dishes instead. I tend to prefer meat/veggie dishes over just a 'slab of meat' (like their Teriyaki Chicken). But Mae suggested the Teriyaki one day, offering me a sample. OMG the taste is unbelievably good! And fyi the portion size you get even in the combos is at least a whole, lean, skinless, full breast. I'm going on about 8 years of eating at Canton Kitchen as my #1 away from home spot. They take the card too, but I think a minimum of 10. They are nice people, and they have lots of customers because they know what their usual customers like. I love the chow fun, the chow me in is kinda taste less for me. I usually get the meal with half chow fun and the other steamed rice. My items are bbq pork and teriyaki chicken. I also like the Kung pao,o chicken, beef broc, and string bean chicken. They also cater.if you want cater, you can order on the same day, but at least 3 or so hours before your event. They made sure my baby shower food was hot and fresh. They have take home menu's also. Over all, they give you a lot of food, and is wroth the price. read more

Went for the first time last week, tried the Chow Mein, Orange Chicken, fried rice and Teriyaki Chicken. I liked it all except for the Teriyaki chicken, did not care for the flavor and they do not have Teriyaki sauce to add to it like most Chinese places. So I had to go check this place because of all of the reviews. Can we just say AWFUL! You might get 5 pounds for a little bit of money but I'd rather be hungry. My chicken was undercooked and the chow mein was just plain nasty....too many bean sprounts, CELERY, and not enough noodles. This is a little hidden gem. Its small and has dated decor but the food is awesome. The cook to order items are the best. I usually get the house special fried rice, pork chow mein and the wor won ton soup. I also get the beef chow fun which is just as good as what I would get in chinatown or the San Gabriel Valley where all the Chinese food is located. read more

We discovered this little dining place accidentally while trying to get to LAX but got lost in the neighborhood. The staff here were friendly and showing us the correct direction to the airport. We then ordered some house special Chinese food, it did not take long for them to prepared, everything tasted so good, and we loved the BBQ pork and teriyaki chicken in particular. This is a small dinning place with just few tables, but those great food and warm welcome feelings definitely will make us coming back for more. read more

This place was a hole in the wall in Inglewood, which is fine but the food wasn't all that. There were huge portions, don't get me wrong but that didn't make up for the quality of the food.
