I ordered the tom kah noodle soup and received it in less than 5 minutes. I was impressed by the large portion. The steamed chicken was a little dry and not much flavor. The rice noodles were plentiful and has a nice chew. The soup was creamy, but the overall flavor of the soup was pretty mild. The vegetables were much appreciated with adding some freshness. I return here for the quality of food: not the BPM thumping techno or the rank-odorous loo. I asked if the volume could be lowered and was told it was "preset". (Yeah right.). Then the loo ... Soilove is a product that cuts through calcified buildup (see pic). Now that ventilation plate is something altogether different. A vacuum will do. The graffiti? Well - just place "video surveillance" signs will deter the graffiti bandits. Also - a sealer membrane over the mirror would discourage the varmints. read more

I have been here twice in the last month . One thing I love about this location is it has ample public parking in the back. You may live out and find some street parking available on Sepulveda right in front of the restaurant but it's easier to just park in the back. This restaurant use to be a Baja Fresh ( remember Baja, yummy) but any way they didn't do a lot of rearranging, which economically was very smart. The first time I came I ordered a ramen bowl. It was very good but could've used more broth but all the flies weee definitely there and it was delicious. The next time I ordered the chicken noodle soup and it was amazing. I wasn't feeling 100% and this definitely hit the spot. I asked for a little more spice and it was perfect!!!! I know work about two doors down from this location so I guarantee that they will definitely be seeing a lot of me in the near future. My partner said that she has tried numerous items here and everything has always been delicious. I must admit that I have never ever been a huge Ramen fan but this has definitely changed my mind. I wouldn't bother with any of their ramen, nor their chicken karaage - both belong in the garbagè. Mind you, this is fast food, yet their pho and Singapore noodles are actually quite delicious for a quick fix. Any of the rice dishes are satisfying - roll the dice and order them twice and enjoy the fair price! Enough rhyming, give them a go. I love their Thai and matcha smoothies! Their satay salad comes with a beautiful peanut sauce, the seaweed salad can be a bit slimy at times, but oh so flavorful. There aren't many choices to choose from when it comes to Asian Noodles (Japanese ramen excluded). However Noodle World Jr. definitely hits the sweet spot when it comes to these dishes. The restaurant is spacious, clean and customer service was great! The food: BBQ Wonton Noodles (8/10): This is a classic Singapore's dish. If you would like to have a light tasting but delicious soup noodle, this is the one for you. I thought the soup wasn't thick in flavor, the BBQ pork was tasty and the texture was also not hard to chew. I also loved how they added some vegetables into this dish. The wontons (steamed dumplings) were also tasty. The only complaint that I had was that their noodles tasted a little soggy. Singapore Noodles (9/10): This dish is also known as Fried Bee Hoon. This dish tasted delicious. The portion was huge and they were also generous with the pork slices. This dish can easily become salty, seasonings have to be just right and they cooked it really well. Tom Yum Ramen (10/10): Not technically ramen, but it's named that way! However, names aren't important, this was probably my most favorite dish among all the dishes I have tried. This dish tastes mildly salty and sour (how tom yum should be). The noodle's textures were much better than the one in BBQ Wonton Noodles. Portion was generous and the soup was savory. Mango Sticky Rice (10/10): This was a SEASONAL dish. Therefore, I am not sure if they would still have it if you were to visit the restaurant. Anyhow, we went to Noodle World Jr. for more than five times in a month and we always had to get their mango sticky rice. Portion was good, their sticky rice was sweet and chewy. Also, mangoes were sweet and juicy! Totally recommended! If you are near LAX and love Asian noodles, then you definitely have to try the noodles served in this restaurant! read more

This is my new go to spot for a quick bite after LAX. There's ample free parking in back. The food is quick and the people at the counter are friendly. Its affordable so you can treat whomever picked you up at the airport to dinner without further depleting your travel funds. And the food is good. I got their special which was a Tom Kha Soup with beef instead. The beef was super tender. The broth was spicy. Like very spicy and i cant usually handle spice. They have lots of seating. Its nothing fancy but spacious. I like that they provide take out containers on the counter so you can take your leftovers home without even asking for a box. read more

Ehhh...it's good but it has potential. First time trying Noodle World Jr was executed by Grubhub and it really disappointed me. I had ordered the yakisoba with shrimp and chicken and they forgot to add the shrimp. The amount of chicken in there was barely non existent. The flavor was very mild and I had to tweak it with garlic salt, soy sauce, sriracha, and some fresh chilies, not to forget adding my own shrimp and more chicken to the dish. Recently I went back but this time I went into the restaurant. I decided to give them another chance and ordered the Drunken noodles. It wasn't bad. The Jalapeños had a kick to them and they didn't forget my protein of choice this time. I think they could've added a little more sauce or salt because it tasted like there wasn't any sodium in it and it was dry. Since it was a take-out order, it was ready for me within 10 minutes. The staff was polite and friendly. I would definitely go back and try their soups and see how I can "jaz" it up. read more

Don't order from here. Just don't do it. I placed an order for soup, rice and steamed veggies at 4:45pm - I am only a mile away (for health reasons, I wasn't able to go pick it up so I opted for delivery), I did not get my order until well after 7:15pm. And when I did get it, the soup container had a hole in the top and a good part of it had spilled out. The noodles in the chicken pho was cold and stuck together, and was tough chewy that I gave up. The green onion was wilted in the noodles and container that the steamed veggies came in was not closed all the way and the veggies were barely lukewarm at best. I had multiple drivers cancel on picking up the order citing that the restaurant still wasn't ready with the order. Overall, just a terrible experience and a waste of money and time. However, they are still here... a few years later and given the fact that there are not many choices for Noodles in the area... I decided to give them a try again. I was NOT dissapointed. The noodles were fresh. The service was friendly. I waited a reasonable time for them to prepare the food. The restaurant looks clean. Most of the clientel takes their food to go. There were a few tables with people eating, but most of the customers were just coming-in to get their food to take home. The portions are huge. So, I had enough for two days. A friend finally took me to one of his favorite lunch spots right in the heart of Westchester near LAX.  Huge parking lot but be picky where you park.  Some dumbass parked his truck so close I wasn't able to get in from the driver side and he pushed my side mirror forward in doing so.  In a lot with plenty of empty spaces.   The store faces Sepulveda.  There's a lot of seating but it was nearly empty when we visited on a rainy Thursday just before the Christmas weekend.  They do a lot of cross Asian dishes like pad thai, chow mein and ramen.  I usually avoid places like this but my friend wanted a bowl of hot soup on a cold day.  We both got the veggie miso ramen which you order at the counter and we picked up to eat at a table.  It comes with far too much plastic for eating in:  bowls with plastic covers, forks, spoons, chopsticks and a bag.   Soup was ok.  It's not a creamy broth.  Just a regular soy based one with mushroom, green onion, sesame seeds (odd), carrot and corn.  I choose tofu for my protein.  Noodles tasted probably not made in house.  Compared to all the legit ramen houses all over LA this one is a very pale comparison.  Nothing about it tasted inspired.  Probably not a return visit for me. read more

Wow is this area busier than I remember. The parking lot is so busy it's dangerous. Probably because I feel safer walking through the parking lot than along the street, stepping over the homeless talking to themselves. It makes me sad, but not enough to ruin my enjoyable number 1. This spot was pretty ok. Hits the spot when you're craving some noodles but nothing really stood out to me. We ordered the Noodle World Yakisoba and the BBQ Pork wonton noodle soup. I enjoyed the Wonton Noodle soup a lot but wished it had a tiny bit more flavor. I had to add a fair amount of soy sauce, vinegar and other seasonings from my own pantry to get it to taste the way it does in the streets. But overall the meat was delicious and they give you a lot of wontons and pork. The Yakisoba noodles were also just ok. The best way to describe this place is fast food noodles which is neither good nor bad. The store is very modern looking, the staff was friendly, and they have a huge parking lot in the back. If you aren't familiar with noodle dishes, this would be a decent place to start because they have a very extensive menu (clearly marked for gluten free which is amazing). The food came out extremely fast which was awesome and the overall quality was good. I'd probably give the noodles, broth, and veggies a 3 to 3.5 out of 5. The honeydew boba smoothie however was definitely a solid 3 out of 5. It was icy instead of creamy and was surprisingly not sweet (most places make it too sweet, but I at least want it a little sweet). This will definitely do in a pinch, but with so many good noodle spots around LA to choose from, it's hard to hit up a major chain for doing a lot of things just okay. read more

This particular Noodle World is right next to LAX. If you get lucky and find street parking, you can stop in at Noodle World and eat noodles or soup real quick before you catch your flight at LAX! They have outdoor seating, so you can actually eat there - you don't need to worry about transporting (spilling) soup in your car. The food is aight - it's not the most amazing Thai or Chinese food, but it's pretty good for what it is, and it's convenient. Better than a burger before a long flight in my opinion! read more

I can't believe it's been FOREVER since my last stop here! A visit was most appropriate simply because it's been cold and wet for the past couple of days. What better way to deal with this than with a nice hot bowl of soup! Noodle World, Jr. to the rescue! Not too busy as I walked in about 45 minutes into opening. Put in an order of chicken tatsuta-age (because I was curious) to start and my favorite #1 (BBQ wonton noodles). (Just FYI: I was told there really isn't a that much of a difference between a tatsuta-age and karaage. They're practically one in the same.) ANYWAY! Cooked to order hot, the app arrived on my table not too long after. Dipped in that sweet horseradish sauce it came with, I took my first bite. My impression was a bland, "Meh." I've had better for sure. I tried another piece without the dip. Other than that mild ginger aroma, it was pretty dull. I'm most likely skipping it this time. But that wasn't the main reason I came through. That BBQ wonton noodle soup still hits the spot on a cold day! The depth of the broth. The perfect chew on the noodles. The well cooked and seasoned wontons. It made my tummy feel warm and fuzzy. FOOD: 4. (3 for the app, 5 for the soup.) SERVICE: 3. Mediocre. VALUE: 5. Pretty good pricing for what you get. PARKING: Street. Private lot. Both always get full during the lunch rush. OVERALL: 5 still. The place was packed by the time I finished up - most ordering pho. I used to be a big fan of the legendary Noodle World from when they were in Westwood in the 90s and early 2000s. Their offering at this location as good as it gets for good pho and thai food, and more than great for the local joe, and yes, they have boba too. Noodle World Jr. is a great stop by for anyone coming from LAX for a nice warm noodle dish, with several options for pho, tom kha or the like. I always find that their chicken pho is tasty, and while many purists argue this isn't an authentic dish, it is darn-right-delish. What you will get during this pandemic time is a dish that has separated noodles, chicken and veggies in one dish, and the soup in another. What you will need to do is pour the soup in the noodles, wait 30 seconds, then use your chop sticks to split up the noodles. I do think you may want to warm up the noodles a bit after all this or upon delivery, but it is a small price to pay for delivery+not making it yourself. I do hope you support this small business that could use some help. It's on the apps like UberEats, Doordash and GrubHub too. read more
