I had a great experience with Tamara at the Living Spaces Irvine, CA location today. I had my eye on a beautiful, deeply discounted dining set and she approached me and asked if I had any questions. This set was a "Sold As Is" table and 6 chairs for a very low discounted price. I asked Tamara if this was the only set at that price and she said "yes." I told her that my mom may be interested in it for her house, but my mom wasn't with me at the time. Tamara instantly explained that they can't place anything on hold for anyone, and that if I (or my mom) liked the dining set then we should buy it ASAP because, for example, people that saw it yesterday (or last weekend) could be coming back to the store again later today to purchase it, and then it would be gone. This was a $1,500 dining set with 6 beautiful upholstered chairs, and the entire set was marked down to only $586.00 plus free delivery. I appreciate how Tamara was instantly honest and straightforward with me and explained the situation. Not to evoke fear, but to waste no time explaining the situation to me, which I appreciated. This was a flawless showroom piece in great condition at an excellent price, so she wasn't kidding. The way Tamara was looking out for me kinda reminded me of my late grandmother, who always "told it like it is." I instantly called my mom and had her drive to Irvine to come look at the dining set. Again, I instantly felt like Tamara was on my side as a team player, not a sales person. In the 20 minutes I was waiting on my mom to get to Irvine, Tamara was by my side at the table, helping me to hold down the fort so that no other interested party could come and potentially buy this dining set out from under me. While we were waiting on my mom to arrive, Tamara even helped me to exam the table and six chairs to make sure there were no scratches or defects, since this floor sample would potentially be what my mom ended up with in her home. I wish I had the power to shut down this company...they are frauds with no sense of customer service or empathy. We bought an adaptive mattress worth $5195 which went bad in 1 year, they did an exchange and in 5 months the exchanged mattress went bad as well. When we called customer service and escalated it to the manager Melissa ( read witch) she said you got a brand new mattress what more would you want, I told her I would like compensation for what you have put us through and we have back pain given the air pockets in the mattress had collapsed so the mattress literally had huge dents she said you go should go see a doctor and there is nothing we will do for you...no shit I know what I need to do...she continuously kept dismissing us and even said just because you aren't getting your way you are frustrated like seriously who in customer service speaks with people like that. I was forced to do another exchange and I am hoping I never have to deal with these people ever again. My husband and I went to Living spaces in Irvine to purchase a new couch. Jennifer created us warmly and asked if we would like help. We had a pretty laundry list of things we wanted and also very specific dimensions we could have as our living room is not very big. She spent so much time with us helping us pick out the perfect couch! It is so cozy and comfortable!! My only issue (as many others) were the delivery guys. We had a text the night before saying we would receive the delivery between 3-6 pm. We received a text 5 minutes before arrival saying they were on their way. The guys came in and were very unfriendly. Barely said anything to us at all. We have an area run where the couch sits and my husband explained exactly how we wanted the couch set up. Well as soon as the guy put the couch down the carpet moved askew. He fixed it once and continued in a hurry with the other guy to get everything set up. The "lead" took a few pictures and then had my husband sign off and they were out the door like a tornado. After they left we noticed the carpet was completely moved forward and bunched up against our end table. We had to completely disassemble the entire couch, move the rug back into place, and reassemble everything. We paid for "white glove" delivery service which is a total joke. I called and spoke with a manager at the store who ended up giving us 5% off our purchase since he couldn't refund the delivery fee. He also said that the delivery people are allocated 10 minutes per delivery !!! That is just insane. Overall we really love our couches so far and they seem really comfortable. Our sales associate Jennifer was excellent and so was DJ who helped her with the check out process. I just wish the delivery experience lived up to our initial experience. read more

He was outstanding--knowledgeable, friendly, patient, and genuinely invested in helping us choose the right mattress. He was so exceptional that we made a special trip back to the store specifically to ensure he received credit for the sale. We could have easily purchased online, but his professionalism deserved recognition. Unfortunately, that is where the positive portion of this review ends. Everything that followed--delivery, communication, and post‑purchase support--was shockingly poor. We were initially given an all‑day delivery window of 8am-5pm, which essentially trapped us at home for the entire day. Considering our delivery was scheduled only a few days after purchase, it seems reasonable that Living Spaces could narrow the window to something more respectful of customers' time. Instead, the communication became a frustrating cascade of shifting promises. We received a text stating our delivery would be between 2-5pm. Then another text adjusting it to 2:30pm. Then several more texts, each pushing the time later and later. To make matters worse, we received a stern warning that we would be charged a fee if we were not home--despite the delays being entirely on Living Spaces' end. The truck finally arrived at 4:57pm, three minutes before the end of the full-day window. When the delivery team arrived, things went downhill even further. It had been raining, and the walkway was wet. Neither delivery person wore protective shoe covers, nor did they bring any. Had we not anticipated this and purchased shoe covers ourselves, they would have tracked wet, dirty footprints across our carpet. This is basic professionalism and should not fall on the customer. The lead delivery person, approached without so much as a greeting. His demeanor was curt and dismissive from the start. Upon seeing our old mattress and box spring unbagged, he immediately questioned us in a tone that felt more like scolding than informing. We explained that we were given a bag but were never told it was our responsibility to bag the items ourselves. His annoyance was obvious. Then came the most absurd moment of the entire experience: he pointed to a tiny piece of lint on the box spring and insisted it was a "bed bug." This was not only incorrect--it was irresponsible. We inspected it with a magnifying glass and confirmed it was simply lint. Our old mattress showed zero signs of bed bugs. The accusation felt retaliatory, as though he was irritated about having to do additional work and wanted to guilt us for not bagging the items. This kind of behavior is completely unacceptable. Both delivery workers appeared exhausted and disengaged, mentioning they had already delivered 14 mattresses that day. They rushed through the setup, briefly tested the motorized base, and declared they were done. No explanation, no demonstration, no basic guidance on how to use the product we just purchased. While we don't expect a full tutorial, a minimal level of courtesy and customer service should not be too much to ask. We were relieved when they finally left. Unfortunately, the problems didn't end there. I purchased a 10‑year extended warranty for the adjustable base. However, when I received my receipt, it incorrectly listed the warranty as 5 years. When I contacted Living Spaces to correct this, they refused to provide an updated receipt reflecting what I actually paid for. Instead, I was told I would receive a generic pamphlet from the warranty company and that I should go online, print out various pieces of information, and essentially "Frankenstein" together my own proof of purchase. This is absolutely unacceptable. A major retailer should be able to provide a simple, accurate receipt--especially when it involves a paid warranty. The management representative flat-out refused to issue a corrected document. There are NUMEROUS other complaints on Yelp regarding this store and their dishonorable practices when it comes to warranties. The contrast between the excellent in‑store service and the disastrous delivery and post‑purchase support is staggering. Living Spaces needs to understand that the customer experience does not end at the sales floor. Delivery teams represent your brand just as much as your salespeople do, and inaccurate documentation is not a minor issue--it's a breach of trust. Until Living Spaces invests in better training, clearer communication, and basic accountability, I cannot recommend this company. Really rough experience with this Living Spaces location and honestly, if it weren't for the incredible staff, this would've been a one-star review. Everyone I interacted with ( except for one guy) was kind, helpful, and truly doing their best. So two stars, and only because of them. Now, let's get into why I would absolutely not recommend shopping here. First: the product quality is shockingly low. I've bought couches, rugs, mattresses, and a bunch of accessories, and every single item was disappointing, Look at some pictures that other reviewers posted. Couches build quality is terrible. I ended up returning everything except the couches, only because returning them wasn't an option. Their own brand Revive mattresses are just the worst. I had a warranty claim on one within a week. The rugs, as another example, were $200-$500 a pop... and then I saw the exact same ones at Ross Dress for Less for $60. I wish I were joking. Second: their internal system is a complete disaster.Even the employees hate it and they openly talk about how frustrating it is. Everything takes way too long. The software is so clunky that just finding a saved cart or processing an order turns into a nightmare. I've had to wait around while they submitted escalation tickets, sent chats, waited on manager approvals... You name it. I spent hours in-store simply because the system was broken or restricted in some way. I shouldn't know this much about their internal tech problems as a customer, but it's that bad and the stress trickles down into the customer experience. So, while I'm thankful for the staff who did everything they could, I'm glad this shopping experience is over. I'm stuck with couches I don't love, a few hundred dollars credit on my account with them that I don't know what to spend on and a mental note to never step foot in Living Spaces again. The store is big, with lots of options, sectional sofas, recliner chairs, sleepers, dining tables, night tables, sleeping mattresses, etc. Also, you can customize your sofa, the fabrics, the cushion insides, the pillows, its colors. Amanda was our helper today, no pressure on buying, we asked tons of questions, she was very kind and helpful and very knowledgeable with her products and the financial side of things. We went to Living Spaces to buy a mattress because our current one was too hard. We went straight to the soft mattresses, told the saleswoman we wanted the softest mattress possible, and spent time laying on the mattress and discussing it with her. We ended up purchasing a soft Purple mattress for roughly $3,500. However, the saleswoman entered the order incorrectly into her computer and ordered a firm mattress instead. My wife signed the tablet presented to her, which had a large signing screen, but there was nothing obvious indicating it was a firm mattress (the receipt lists it in fine print only). When the mattress was delivered, the old one was taken away and the new one was dropped off. The mattress did not say "firm" anywhere, and we were told not to lie on it for 24 hours. As soon as we lay on it, it was immediately clear that it was far too hard. We returned to the store, and the saleswoman admitted it was her mistake. Still, Living Spaces refused to refund or exchange the mattress. Their 30-day trial allows exchanges after 30 days for $200, but they refused to waive the waiting period or fee for their own admitted error. Essentially, they blamed us because we "signed off" on it. We asked for one product and they delivered another. Despite admitting their mistake, they refuse to make it right. The last time I visited a Living Spaces store, Obama was president. I was not impressed at that time with the store or the furniture it sold. Things have changed since that time. This store in Irvine is immense. It is well stocked but did not have a crammed feeling. In fact the store itself seemed to go on forever. Large selection, without a feeling of being overwhelmed was the virtue of this store. Overall quality of the furniture itself seems to have improved as well, with many pieces with shelves and doors featuring soft closure. Bed selections were also numerous. I was at the store to assist a friend, but I'd not hesitate to seek furniture items for myself now, something I'd not considered previously. I bought two reliners and one was broken. I contacted customer service. All I wanted was another recliner. They didn't have a date when the new recliner could be delivered. I was told that if it went past the seven days, they wouldn't honor the return of the other chair if the model was discountinued. Long story, I tried to reason with them, give them a few solutions, and even plead with them. We liked the chairs and we want to see if we could wait for another one. lt was a nightmare dealing with customer service. Bottom line, to me...they did not care at all. Service was horrible. First they knew we were replacing a box spring bed setup with one that didn't require a box spring. When they delivered the bed they would only take away the old mattress leaving me to haul box spring to the dump. Then the bed they sold us was supposed to be a Cal King. They sold us a bed that is meant for an Eastern King width and Cal King length. The bed was way too wide leaving us to bang our shins in the middle of the night and it doesn't look good. Absolute crooks. I was not happy with my couch and went to return it. Before buying I asked the associate (Edith) about the return policy and was told it was returnable within 7 days with a 10% restocking fee. When I went to return it, the manager (Phil) told me that the sale was final because I chose the color, which makes it a "specialized order" which is un-returnable. When I told them they should honor what they told me and that I wouldn't have bought the couch that same day if I knew there were no returns, I was told very rudely over and over "well you signed it. You shouldn't have signed it then. Read the terms and conditions." Never supporting this dishonest business again, outright lying to make a sale should be criminal. read more

Afterward I noticed 2 of the 13 drawers (dresser and 2 nightstands) have noticeable dark imperfections under the varnish. Additionally two of the drawers stick and one comes out crooked. My warranty claim was refused by Tiffany as "hand finished" "variations in the wood" and "the lighting in my home". This is NOT a distressed bedroom set, and the lack of accountability is shocking. I gave 1 star since NO stars was not an option! Went into Living Spaces in Irvine on 7/29/25 to look at mattresses. Dealt with a saleman named Andrew. Looked around at the various mattresses. Found one we liked but wanted to shop around. Andrew said that the sales price was only good for another 2 days. So, with that expiring sales price we purchased a mattress and box springs that day. Asked the salesmen (Andrew and Noberto) for a copy of the 10-year warranty. They said they did not have one but one would come with the mattress when it was delivered. When the mattress was delivered NO WARRANTY! Called Customer Service who told me they do not have a copy of the warranty either. I said a 10-year warranty is good except I have no idea what is covered and not covered under the warranty. They provided a few 'situations' that would be covered, and mentioned that if the mattress is 'stained', the warranty is null and void. They were obviously reading off something that provided warranty details. I asked if they could send me a copy of whatever document they were looking at. They said "NO," that was for internal use only. They referred me their website for warranty information. Well, under the 'warranty' link on their website, it says that for any mattress warranty question call Customer Service, and that is who just told me they can't provide any details and referred me to the website. Since Living Spaces charges $99 for a tech to come out and assess any claim related issue to determine if it is covered and not covered, it would be advantageous to have a copy of the warranty to review before filing a claim if the 'damage' is obviously not covered under the warranty. I went back to the store and spoke with Ajee, who I think was the Business Ops Manager, about getting a copy of the warranty. I reiterated what was told to me by the salesmen and Customer Service. She went on the website thinking she could find a copy the warranty with no success. She did see that 'Warranty' link on the website just referred the customer back to Customer Service. Ajee told me that the Revive mattress I purchased is manufactured by Diamond Mattress and they might have a copy of the warranty. She went to their website with no success. You CANNOT contact any store directly. The number listed connects you will Customer Services who then has to relay any message, request or question, to the particular store or person. I left several messages for the salesman and store manager, and NEVER got a return phone call. I later contacted Diamond Mattress and spoke with a very nice lady. She confirmed they do manufacturer Living Spaces Revie mattresses. Asked her about a written warranty and she simply referred me back to Living Spaces. After telling her Living Spaces will not provide a copy of the warranty, she directed to the Diamond Mattress website for 'their' warranty. I was told she is not sure if this warranty actually applies to mattresses made for Living Spaces. So, 3 weeks later, I have my mattress and box springs and still no written warranty. I would avoid Livings Spaces in Irvine. The staff does not communicate well. We were coerced into purchase the mattress that day by telling us the mattress we would only be on sale for another 2 days. Well, as of today 8/17/25, almost 3 weeks later, the mattress is still on sale. They told me I would get a written warranty when the mattress was delivered, NO WARRANTY. And, I have been trying to get a copy of the warranty ever since. You can't rely on the information provided by the salespeople and although they sell some mattresses with a 10-year warranty, they will not provide a copy of that warranty. What an experience! My daughter and I came for a loveseat and chaise sectional. We looked at multiple ones and were helped by Mariah. She asked us several questions (personal ones, not about what we were looking for), and didn't necessarily seem to listen to us. We came back the next day as we were contemplating between 2 we had seen the previous day. Mariah came up to us again (with a new trainee) and acted like she was seeing us for the first time. She was scattered and acting strange. The trainee kept looking at us, nervous at the interaction and comments that Mariah was stating. When we decided on a 2 piece sectional, Mariah said it wasn't available and that we had to look at something else. Then she said she was leaving on a break, yet walked over to another customer. We asked another associate for assistance who brushed us off but gave us to Amanda (who now had the same trainee with her). Amanda was outstanding! She was friendly, upbeat, professional and said that the sectional we wanted was actually just on back order. She asked for a moment to go check on a few things, came back timely, and stated that she could order it with a delivery window of 2 weeks to a month. That was great news as we were not in a rush. The sectional was delivered 2 weeks later and the team was great. If it wasn't for Amanda, Living Spaces would not have had the sale. All associates should be as helpful as she was. I recall stating to the trainee as we left the store, to be sure to learn from Amanda and not Mariah as to what true customer service looks like. She smiled and nodded - she knew. In April 2023, I opened a promotional financing plan through Synchrony Bank when purchasing from Living Spaces (the "18-month deferred interest" sofa offer). At the time of purchase, the Living Spaces representative clearly told me that my monthly payments would be structured to pay off the balance in full before the promotion expired, so I would avoid interest. Relying on that explanation, I set up automatic payments and consistently paid on time -- totaling more than $2,600 by mid-2024. Unfortunately, the information I was given at the store was not accurate. The automatic payments were set too low to pay off the balance by the deadline. I received no clear warnings from Living Spaces or Synchrony as the promotional period was ending. Then, in November 2024, I was hit with over $1,600 in deferred interest charges -- despite always paying as instructed. I tried to resolve this in good faith, even offering to pay off the remaining balance immediately if the interest was removed. Synchrony refused, saying "nothing could be done." This entire situation stems from misleading guidance at the point of sale in the Living Spaces store. Living Spaces should not assure customers that their payments will cover the promotion when in reality, they do not. Customers deserve clear, accurate disclosures up front -- not vague promises and hidden "gotchas" that create huge surprise charges. If you are considering a purchase here with promotional financing, be extremely careful. Do not trust verbal assurances. Carefree Warranty that Living Spaces sell is a Scam! I was coerced to buy this supposed furniture coverage warranty that covered all stains and cleaning for my off-white sofa set at $325. The manager and salesperson told me and my sister that this plan would cover all cleanings and that the $325 would pay itself off in 1 year or less. Well, I sent the below pics of accidental stains that my nephew caused with his dirty shoes and though the contract states that they cover accidental stains (see contract pic), they still denied it. These scammers have it down to a science and I'm certain that their goal is to always deny claims so they can pocket the money. Take a look at other Yelp reviews and the same scam is reported. Went browsing in the store beginning of Oct and found a couch that we liked. We were able to choose the fabric we wanted and customize 2 sets of pillows at no extra cost! I have a dog at home and wanted a couch that was easy to clean and thankfully, there were fabrics that were pet friendly. We paid for our order and they let us know it would be ready around 2 weeks. It actually took closer to 4 weeks for the couch to be ready, which I was okay with. I was honestly so stressed at this point because I read so many negative reviews about the delivery process on yelp. But personally, our experience was amazing! We were able to schedule our delivery for a certain date and they sent us a narrower time frame of delivery the day before. On the day of, when we went onto tracking, it let us know how many stops away the truck was and it was extremely accurate. We paid $99 for the full delivery service, so our couch was placed in the area we wanted and all the trash was taken out. The delivery process went smoothly and they were in n out in about 5 mins. I feel so lucky that everything went smoothly. The couch looks so beautiful. I examined it to make sure that there were so damages and it was pristine. Going through the prompts and filling out the claim, it asked for the reason of damage, there was no option to pick for disintegrating wood. I couldn't proceed till this was filled. I picked a random option damage/initial delivery, however I explained in text what happened to the bed and why I picked that option- due to the lack of exact option available- I also included pictures and video. The warranty company, "Uniters" Care Free Plan which has absolutely poor service denied it based on the fact that I picked initial delivery as option!! When I finally got to talk to somebody there, they said, oh we understand this should be covered, however, your choice that you picked does not allow it so you will not get coverage. I stated that I 1- explained why and 2- send videos and 3- pictures, they said your menu choice was wrong!!! I called the store and the Uniters ( very rude customer service) several times to get someone to help me with the warrantee, just to have zero help or understanding. Living spaces says they have nothing to do with it (although it's their choice of partnership). This is a gimmick. The warranty company personnel were simply incompetent, and rude, one of them raise her voice telling me that basically I am stupid for picking initial deliver, I tried to tell her, it's the only one that had damage and there wasn't one for disintegrated wood. She said how could I not see that this the voice of "normal use"!! This is a bed post not a seat where using it everyday will matter. They are the order takers and they do not have anybody else to talk to or elevate. One of them said I understand however I cannot accept it, I said show else can elevate it to, she said : herself!!!! I said then can you override the electronic choice, she said no. It's a gimmick. Prime Example of bad customer service. Living spaces throws the ball over the fence and do not care one bit about their customers experience. I will never buy anything from that store again specially if this is their choice of warranty company. Neither the store helped nor the warranty company Uniters honored their agreement. Never again. At Costco, this would have been solved I in minutes. read more

I see that other people have given a lot of poor reviews for living Spaces, but we've had wonderful experience with this company. I love how we can go and pick something on the floor and they can look it up to see if it's in stock. If it is, I can usually get it delivered in 24 hours. Also, I purchased a bunch of rugs on order and the size wasn't what I was expecting on one of them and they were very cooperative about eventually letting me just return it to the store even though it was an ordered item read more

That's right 11:30pm and no bed to sleep on. Thanks Living Spaces for making my life HELL! Lies, lies, and more lies! Not sure if I'll ever get the rest of my furniture. Purchased a mattress, box spring, bed frame, dresser, mirror, chest, night stand, custom chair, custom ottoman, and tv stand. The tv stand and dresser were in stock, the mattress and box spring were a floor model and the earliest delivery window was 4 Days. Not tonight like the commercials promise. Wednesday morning we get a call, tv stand only is on the way. Tv stand comes, it's not like the same color wood as in the showroom but okay it's still here. He says the rest is on a different truck. I call them to make sure, Debbie reassured me it's on a truck even though it's pass my delivery window of 8:30-11:30. Call at 3:30 and find out that they put my available items on a truck only to take them off because the other items aren't ready yet (duh!). They give our dresser to someone else. The manager says they will have the mattress and box springs delivered between 6-Midnight. We call at 11:20 to make sure everything is okay and the lady informs us that the delivery was never sent out. So, here we are at 11:30 and we have no bed to sleep on tonight. Thanks Living Spaces! I'll be raising HELL with you in the morning. Update: this experience happened several years ago but I'm still astounded at what a horrible experience it all was I decided to still post it anyway. UPDATE: I co texted the social media team after they responded to this review. They asked me to upload the pictures to a link, but I was unable to upload the pics because the link kept crashing. I emailed them back explaining the difficulty and sent the pictures attached to the email instead, but never heard back. In the meantime, a chance meeting with a friend who happens to work for LS resulted in LS replacing our mattress set with a new one. They even picked up the infested set that we had wrapped and taped. So I give them credit for that. However, if it hadn't been for my friend, the replacement probably wouldn't have happened. I gave them another star for the service and replacement, which was nice of them. read more
