Food is very expensive and is alright. I got the tostada which was HUGE and very good!! It was packed so it took a long time to find a seat. Mccoy lodge has underground seating so you will always find a place to sit and eat but Canyon lodge does not. However they do have a store that consists of clothes, sunscreen, chapstick, snowboard/ski stuff and more! Beers are $10 which is alot but definitely refreshing! read more

So my friends and I came here to ski and snowboard. My friend took us here really early because apparently it gets crowded quickly, which I felt was the case. They had an area for rentals that you could purchase your lift tickets at too. The price came out to be about $150 for me, which included the day pass and snowboard rental gear (I think the snowboard and the boots?). I think you can get the passes for cheaper if you buy online ahead of time, though I'm not sure. We did go during the holiday season though I think... I'm pretty new at snowboarding, but in my experience the different lifts were very fun and the overall experience was enjoyable. I felt it got more and more crowded as the day went on though, and the wait before going up the lift can get a bit long. read more

I was blown away that they offered vegan veggie pho (it was terrific) but they also have a great salad bar with lots of fresh options, baked potatoes, soups (usually one is vegan) plus options for pasta and sandwiches too. This first part is review of Canyon apartment: Convenient!! But be warned, if you do not have a 4WD or chains, you will not be able to make it to the lodge in the snow. We took my friends truck from LA and made it all the way to lodging area but we could not get up. We spent 2 hours trying and gave up. Parked at a lot in town and had friends pick us up. I like how they provide dollies to bring your luggage to your apartment. They have a lobby that has apple cider and coffee. You can rent DVDs to watch. This is the life.... Parking can be a problem if you have a large party. They only gave us 2 spots, so we had 1 other car part at town. The best part, walk straight into Canyon Lodge. 5 minutes and bam, you are there. They provide everything. Restrooms, ski/snowboard shop, restaurant, rental, lockers and tickets. The rest is just getting to the lift and shredding on the snow. read more

Ahhhhh Good Ole Warming Hut II. Well that is what any OG Mammoth folks know this place as. I started coming here in 1978 when I learned to ski at the ripe old age of 4! Overall this is a pretty decent facility. However there are a couple of pitfalls to avoid: *Do not pay to eat here being one! They are way over priced. If you think about going to a ball park, stadium, arena, etc realize the food here is 1.5-2x as expensive. ie $11.00 +tax +crv for a single 24oz bottle of beer!!! WTF! that is ridiculous to the enth degree! *If you ascend or descend on the western side of the building (at the edge of chair 16) to/from the parking lot, be super super careful. There is a lot of icy build up here and several people fell while I was there. A staircase or grip ramp would do wonders here. *Do not be discouraged by the check your board/ski station being understaffed. It is always best to have your equipment overseen, than to have some jackwagon come and take off with it while you are eating or going to the rest room. *The gates in front of the lifts here seem to get an inordinate number of newbie's falling at the entrance to the lift lines. This is super dangerous IMHO as I saw about 1 person per minute fall in one of the 4 openings over the last weekend while I was there... having the hosts stationed at slow signs 30-50 yds uphill doesnt matter either... if someone falls in the middle of an opening and others cant stop, their are some likely injuries as a result :( *Ridiculously partitioned rooms that were open for people to eat lunch at. Literally there was no rhyme or reason to their partitioning. However the great points: *Quick ticket purchasing lines with numerous staff working the windows (even a spot to set your board or skis while purchasing. *Clean dining rooms. *Lots of water stations with cups available for anyone to get water on multiple levels. *A quick repair service on site! (one of my friends busted a front binding and they fixed it for $20 while we were stopped for lunch. So overall this facility is both good and bad. The parking staff in the loading zone , in particular at very old, cranky woman, was beyond rude. As I was dropping of my 4 kids , this person is knocking on my window telling me I can't park here. Well it's a loading zone!! Every other person is parked unloading and loading their people and crap! Then as I'm trying to leave , she's blocking the lane with her hands on her hips. Really!!??? Disappointing after I spent a $1000 on lift tickets. Pretty much over Mammoth and their prices. Will find another ski location. There's plenty of them. read more

I usually end up using Canyon Lodge as my base since it is easier to get to than the Mountain Lodge, but so does everyone else. So the crowd is a real issue here on weekends, especially when the weather is bad (windy, snowy, cold, you name it). A few things to keep in mind if you're new to Mammoth: - There are lots of free parking spots available at Canyon but they are usually gone before 8am on weekends. Get there early. If you can't find any free spots in the lot, you have two options. You can either go park on streets nearby or if you really can't find anything within reasonable distance, there are $25 premium parking spots. - Ticketing window for lift tickets can be crowded in the morning peak hour. If you arrive in Mammoth the day before, go pick up your tickets at the Mountain Center at the Village. It is open till 4:30pm. - There is usually a long line to get on the Village Gondola around 3pm. - No brainer: Try to take lunch break a little early or later. It is really annoying to look for available seats at this lodge! McCoy Station is a much better place to get lunch. I actually avoid going to Mammoth on holiday weekends, so I can't even imagine how crowded this lodge must be... read more

I haven't been to too many lodges in my life, but this one seems fine. It can be confusing where to go and it seems like the folks working there aren't on the same page with how things operate (they had me running around, going up and down the stairs before I finally got where I needed to go which is NOT easy in ski garb!!). I think it's safe to say the staff isn't the most efficient, but at least everyone is friendly. If you need rentals, go early even if you have a reservation. It's a MADhouse in the rentals area and you may have to wait for quite a while. That will cause a problem if you have a morning lesson to attend! The food is pretty decent. I had a chicken sandwich from the grill that hit the spot while providing fuel for this here machine. They have pho which was surprisingly flavorful, but tepid in temperature. There aren't many bathrooms here either, so be prepared to wait during busy lunch hours. 7 and 17 are nice, easy greens. 4 and Canyon Express offer fun, but not too scary blues. I highly recommend getting lessons no matter what level skier you are. I am not that great of a skier. Ok fine, I SUCK. I took a lesson years ago and it helped, but I was still pizza wedging like a toddler at times. A few ski trips, one twisted knee, and countless anxiety attacks later, I decided I needed more lessons under my belt. TOTAL GAME CHANGER!! I had a novice lesson with Ron (Frias?). He was so helpful and enthusiastic. He went over basic body form to maintain balance and control. Even in a group of 6, he provided helpful feedback to each person. Just from that lesson alone, I was able to ski with more confidence. The next day, I attended an intermediate workshop with Preston as my guide. He fine-tuned what I'd learned the day before and taught me some new moves to add to my arsenal. He was patient, answered all of my questions, and described things in a way that made sense to me. I've been only to the Canyon Lodge and the Main Lodge. I like the Canyon Lodge better. Much more livelier! Its like a party at the bar area! The beginner runs are longer than the ones at the Main lodge. I'm really happy that they have FREE filtered water station with cups provided. Overall, I loved mammoth. The staff are so nice and helpful. They really make you feel welcomed. The boys in our large group enjoyed the mountain. They were up at the black diamonds and brough the go pro cam and so how beautiful the view was on the runs on the top! As a beginner I really liked the lifts. It really slows down once you get to the landing. Such a plus! read more

As mentioned by others before, this is the largest of the 3 major lodges at Mammoth Mountain and I had the fortune to be staying at a cabin within walking distance from Canyon. In addition to the usual rentals, demo shop, gift shop, cafeteria, they have both a nice indoor and outdoor bar area and a gondola with direct access to the Mammoth Lakes village which is a whole review in itself. The only downside is you don't direct access to the summit from this lodge and that requires some creative and strategic ski trail traversing. FYI the lift ticket desk and rental shops are supposed to open by 8am, for those early risers who want to get a jump start to the day. Last call on lift chairs is 330pm read more

This is regarding bars at Canyon. 5 stars to Kyle and Vinnie in the Cave Bar! They made it fun to hang out and Kyle makes a great version of a skinny margarita!! Our whole group enjoyed it. 2 stars were taken away because of Devita in the outside bar. He was rude for no reason and I'm not sure why he's in the service industry. My friend is diabetic and asked about the low sugar Red Bull. Apparently it pissed him off that he said Monster only and slammed a can down. He told us it's low carb and to read it ourselves. This is an unnecessarily big building, and I don't really know why. It's also really busy. And inefficient. It took a long wait at the ski hire place to find out that I couldn't hire good skis there and I needed to go to the other ski hire place that was next to this one (still run by the same company) and queue up/wait again. And the cost of the ski hire was really high, compared to what I am used to in Europe, which is kind of ridiculous because the skis actually cost less to buy in the USA than they do in Europe. The time you have to wait in the queue to buy your lift pass is also really long, for no apparent reason. And the place loses even more stars because the cost of a lift ticket is so high. $125 per day. That's just nuts! For that I would expect my own personal snowmobile driver to take me up the mountain! read more

Our family of five rented a condo walking distance to canyon lodge so we decided to do all of our rentals and lessons through canyon even though we usually stick with Main Lodge or June. We rented ski packages for our three kids and booked each of them lessons on a Friday. Picking up our rentals was fairly seamless except they measured both of our girls incorrectly and gave them skies that were way too short. They corrected their mistake and admitted they had messed those up so I do appreciate that. We dropped our four year old off at her half day lesson and things already seemed off. It was crazy busy and there is no system in place for handing them over except putting your phone number in their report card and walking away. I did see that they had her on the magic carpet within twenty minutes which was great. My real concern came later when I got a call that she was crying and wanted me to come back ninety minutes into her lesson. All of the groups were inside when I arrived back, I had to ask 4 people where to find my daughter and on the fourth she just shrugged and walked me into the kid area to find her myself. She was sitting by herself crying at one of the main tables. Listen, my kid is drama and that's not their fault but the fact that they just let me walk in because they didn't actually know where she was, is not okay. I took her to the bathroom which is shared with the rest of the lodge. So here I am, an adult none of these instructors or managers have ever met walking a child out of the kid area into the locker room bathrooms and this is totally fine with them. Once in the bathroom, I realized I'll never take my child to canyons kid lessons again. All the kids were being walked into the bathroom where one woman was barking at three and four year olds to "lock your door, put down your pants and pee!" So we went back to the indoor kid area, got her things and left. I don't even know who her instructor was or if anyone was even curious to know what happened to her. Seriously, no one ever even asked me for my name. My seven year old spent her lesson waiting for a kid who had been put in her group an hour into the day learn how to stop. This was her third full day lesson in the past year and while she has taken the lift, connects parallel turns and mastered green runs in her past lessons(this was all communicated when she was as dropped off), her group never left the fenced area and at the end of the day, her instructor couldn't even remember her name. My ten year old did make a lot of progress, he was out with an older instructor who got them out on blue runs, refused to let them fill up on sugar but instead took lots of water breaks and even knew my son's name at the end of the day. Felt like a miracle after my first two! If we take group lessons through mammoth again we will absolutely avoid canyon lodge at all costs. We will also be sure to advise everyone we know to avoid them as well. The only reason they are getting a two instead of one star rating is because of my son's instructor. read more

A lot of people say this is the most crowded lodge on the mountain, but it's my preferred lodge for the ease of parking and rentals. During the holiday season, which is when we were there to ski and snowboard, it does get crowded -- extremely so. I made my friends get there early -- around 7:15, since almost all of them needed to rent gear. We were among the first in line, though a tour bus of people pulled up right as we were walking in to the building. Parking is free, but it fills up quickly. One thing I don't like about this lodge is the stairs. They're the bane of my existence when I'm wearing my ski boots. They're steep, not to mention the fact that there's so many of them. Other than that though, their service is great here. My friends were the first to be serviced in the rental area and were able to purchase lift passes while renting boards, which helped save time from getting in two lines. The lifts were obviously crowded, so I try to spend as little time down by the lodge as possible to avoid the crowds by taking mid-mountain lifts. Schoolyard is a zoo, with the ski school and inexperienced boarders/skiiers trying to learn. Canyon is an easy run and I'd recommend it once you get the hang of going down the mountain and staying out of people's way. It's less of a minefield and not too steep. The cafeteria upstairs is absolutely insane though -- it's hard to find a place to sit after you grab your food. I avoid at all costs, and if I need a break during the day I park my butt off the side of a trail near some trees to rest. read more

Canyon Lodge is great. It does get crowded but it's a big place with a cool vibe. There is a bar and cafeteria on the 2nd floor. It's always packed during lunch time but if you're a small group, you can usually find some seats at a table somewhere, etc. The bar is pretty cool too. Maybe it's just because I'm always hungry when I eat here but the food is pretty good. The portions are huge. The hot dog looks like it's over a foot long, the french fries (garlic or chili) fill up an entire plate, the salad bar just charges by the plate so pile it up as high as you want, etc. There is also free water so that's great. They also have outdoor seating on the roof. It's nice up there if it's not too cold. The 1st floor has a small cafe with food, coffee, etc. There is also a pretty big store, rentals, etc. Overall, Canyon Lodge is the best place to hang out at Mammoth. read more

I like Canyon Lodge. The drive is a little closer than Main Lodge, but parking can fill up quickly. There is a large drop-off area for those fortunate enough to get a ride. Lots of good food and shopping here, so you've got everything you need. Plenty of good runs off of Canyon and you can access the entire mountain from here if you desire. read more

Out of all the lodges up at Mammoth, this is the one we usually hit since it's pretty conveniently located and with the gondola that goes straight into the village, you can't beat that. Food there is actually not too bad but I've never had a problem finding a place to sit, even when it's busy. Only compliant I would have is for Mammoth Mt. Ski Resort itself... seems like every year, the lift tickets keep going up? Man, I thought the economy was bad? How about giving your loyal customers a break here???!!! read more

This is going to sound just a bit jaded only because, after hours of hard skiing, and you are hot and need a rest, a cold beer, shot of whiskey, and ANYTHING you eat is perfect. The staff around the lodge was wonderful. Both kids had full day lesson and they loved their instructors. Food court was great. The employees handle themselves well under pressure. My daughter forgot $ for lunch and an instructor bought her lunch. That is priceless. Don't have to leave to get rentals, food, gifts, drinks. This place is great! Let me start with, I'm not a great skier. After taking a beginner class 5 years ago at Canyon Lodge I keep coming back. The funny thing is I could never figure out why after one day of skiing my feet and legs were shot. Each time I returned I would ask the "experts" in the rental department which boot and ski would be best for my size and aptitude. Let me just say...THEY KNOW NOTHING. Just this season I considered buying boots and went to Canyon Sports at Canyon Lodge. Brian introduced himself to me as the official boot fitter. Let me tell you this BRIAN KNOWS NOTHING. He didn't give a hoot about what was right for my foot. He just wanted to sell me something...anything. After selling me a product for a wide foot person (I have thin feet) when I came back to tell him the boot wasn't skiing well Brian proceeds to tell me I chose the boot and there are no returns PERIOD. Funny thing is I decided to stop at FOOTLOOSE - 3043 Main Street in Mammoth. They not only customized my DEMO boot but they also suggested skis that were better suited for me. For the first time in 5 years I actually enjoyed a painless day of skiing! Too boot, they're rental prices are much less expensive. Footloose is the place to go. Stay away from Canyon Sport. In particular don't consider buying boots from Brian the "boot fitting specialist. read more

Mammoth's weakest link is, without a doubt, this work of brutalist mountain architecture that more resembles a Marxist Siberian prison than a ski lodge. It is the most utilitarian and austere part of the Mammoth experience. That's not to say it isn't convenient or logically arranged. It simply lacks character. And it is extraordinarily congested. Mammoth Mountain loses its cumulative 1/2 star (in my master review) purely because I was thinking of this place, and this lodge loses two stars for aesthetic character and congestion. All that said, the experience itself isn't tragic. The parking lot level offers lockers (season and day use) and first aid. A jaunt up the metal stairs brings you to the second level, with a repair and rental shop and Children's ski school shelter. One more flight of metal stairs brings you to the center of life at Canyon Lodge - the lift ticket counter, sport shop, and conference center are all right here. This level gets PACKED in the morning. This floor also provides access to the skier's court, where the Village Gondola, Canyon Express and Chair 8 load up. Yet one more flight and you are in the other essential zone of the Lodge - The Grizzly Square Food Court and Grizzly Bar... plus more meeting rooms. This area is SLAMMED at lunch. The interior itself is actually rather colorful and comfortable - in a utilitarian, no-frills sort of way. Everything is compactly arranged for one-stop shopping. The flaw in this design, however, is it CANNOT handle a crowd if its life depended on it. There are too few lift ticket agents available, and the rental shop is wandering and constricted. You will be jostled and you might end up dropping your gear. And at lunchtime, forget getting a seat indoors. That's what the sundecks are for. And on (the rare) stormy days where the storm lasts past lunch... well, it's going to be a problem. Enough with the negatives. Onto the positives: 1) The Food - Grizzly Square Food Court may not have the most extensive food court on the mountain, but it serves up a very tasty taco; the carne asada and chicken (when it's available) are delicious... just get guacamole to cut the chili powder burn. The pizza (for a steep $8.75 a slice) is just how I like it - perfect, thick crust, and options from Hawaiian to "Meat Lovers" (very smokey sausage, canadian bacon, and pepperoni) to Cheese... but its best to wait for the fresh ones to come out. Burgers and sandwiches are passable (Mammoth has a very crunchy and addictive beer-battered french fry). Soups and salads are also available for the picky ones. Although the food is quite good for on-mountain dining, be prepared to pay (two people aren't getting out of there for less than $25). The Grizzly Bar nearby is purported to be lots of fun and to serve up a nice cocktail. But I can't attest to that at this time. On peak weekends, a barbecue is operated, and a coffee stand may be found on the third floor (again, never tried it. Because of the lines). A second, outdoor bar (The Canyon Beach Bar) rests on Canyon Lodge's north sundeck. 2) The Terrain - The Canyon region provides the most classic alpine forest skiing experience of Mammoth's base lodges. The trees hug the run, and the runs in turn snake in zig zagging and criss-crossing lines. There are a ton of merging trails, and while they are all heavily gladed, there is a lot of variety in terms of pitch and form. "Downhill" is a classic "freeway blue," while Bluebird dives into Canyon off of Chair 8 at a very satisfying advanced grade. Two "beginner chairs" lie a ways North from Canyon Lodge - Schoolyard Express provides a series of really fun beginner runs for easy progression. Young skiers will feel like they accomplished a lot. From Chair 8, one may access the Eagle Lodge area of the mountain, and From Canyon Express the vast remainder of the Mountain may be accessed. For the most advanced (or crazy) skiers, Chair 22 offers a ride to the top of conical Lincoln Mountain, with its steeps and chutes dropping 1,600 feet into the Canyon Base. The "Village Ski Back Trail" winds through the trees off to the right of the lodge back down to the Village. It's a bit flat in places, but when the Village Gondola line begins to back up at the end of the day, it's a good bet. 3) Learning - Canyon Lodge is the base area perhaps best suited for new skiers. The two chairs located on the North side of the ski area provide long (about 1 mile) ski runs on which neophytes can learn to edge and wedge. Mammoth's ski school is legendary, but others will be better suited to comment as I have not received a Mammoth lesson in nearly four years. 4) Location - There is no easier way to reach the mountain than Canyon - whether by car or gondola, it is far closer than the other base areas. Right two days ago I had a group lesson for skiing. Our instructor wasn't that much patient with us. He expected that everyone should learn in a few minutes. This is while we were all beginners. I left the group for about 30 minutes to take some water and go to bathroom and take some rest. After coming back, I started to repeat what he already told us to do but I wasn't able to do it perfectly. He came to me and said to me sarcastically that we are returned to the first 30 minutes of our lesson and left me after a minute. I ignored him and tried my best to come down the small slope for beginners and did it perfectly. He saw me but didn't say anything. No comment no nothing, while they usually should give you a nice comment as an encouragement. Another instructor who was standing by lifting area saw me that I was falling down from a lift just kept shouting instead of encouraging. The same day my second child had snowboarding lessons in a group. The instructor, Meghan (African-American) was very encouraging and nice with all of the kids in the group, told my kid also my husband that my child was the best in her group. She asked my child if he didn't have any snowboarding lessons before. My kid told her that the reason that he learned it fast was because he is almost a pro in skateboarding which helps you learn snowboarding faster. On 12/26/2016 my husband took him for practicing and playing snowboarding for fun and not lessons anymore since he already knew everything about it. While he was coming down a slope, all of a sudden one of the instructors, who was teaching a group came in his path and my kid really tried to stop but couldn't and hit him so that he fell down on my child and my kid felt a sharp pain in his rib and crying. Instead of making sure that he is okay he said to my kid that go and get a lesson while you don't know snowboarding and that I don't want to see you here again. The result was that my child ended up with a wrong route, scared of seeing that guy again, chose another route, asking a woman. We don't know what that woman said to him that he went to Main Lodge. We lost him for two hours and finally found him in Main lodge by the gondola waiting for us. The instructor ruined our holiday and we scared to death about finding our 11 years old. All this happened while my husband was with my first one and his instructor, Cody for about 30 minutes to make sure that everything was all right. Some instructors in this location are not trained very well about how to be patient and talk nicely to the people. I will never ever come back to this place again. If I knew some instructors could be that much impatient, rude and irresponsible, I would have gone somewhere closer to my house not driving around seven hours and pay a lot of money to deal with bunch of discouraging instructors. However it's not fair if I don't mention Cody who taught my first one skiing one on one on our last day of staying in Mammoth. Such nice guy both in manner and teaching. I still give the place a one star because of the guy who treated my child very badly and abusively and we were close to lose our kid because of him! Not forgivable! They didn't even bother to return my call for at least an apology!! read more

was skiing about a week ago at Mammoth, and had some difficulty with my bindings. They are an older style of bindings and somewhat tricky to adjust, so i decided to take them to the Canyon Lodge ski repair shop. There I met Rob, who was not only very pleasant and helpful, but also knew right away how to repair the bindings and get me on the hill again. Rob adjusted the bindings quickly and cheerfully, and, when finished, declined to let me pay him. I was prepared to pay for such competent and efficient service, but Rob suggested, for his reward, that I "have a great day skiing!" My thanks to Rob for his pleasant demeanor; his competence; and his efficiency! read more

It's at the top of the village gondola. The basement is lockers, next up lockers, kids area, rentals and repairs, next level ticket sales and a ski supply store next up, the cafeterias which include a grill, Mexican food, a salad bar, pizza, ($28 for a whole large pizza) and and Asian food station with chicken kung pao, beef brocoli and a vegatarian dish. No bath room on the cafeteria level, pretty stupid. I rather eat the BBQ at the Mill or get waiter service at the Yodler. But this is our third choice. Sunday afternoons they sometimes have bands perform in the ticket area or on the outside roof overlooking one of the outdoor grills. Not bad over all but a fine example why Mammoth will never be "upscale" like they want to be. read more

Food is getting better... still a little pricey but at least the quality has gone up and so has the selection. I had breakfast there... their omelets were yummy and so were their hashbrowns. And I am a sucker for a coke after a long day on the mountain ... even if it is more than $2 for a small glass what can I say! read more

Went for rentals and was helped immediately by an employee. His name was Wyatt and he knew everything there was to know about skiing. He set up my family and I perfectly and we couldn't have been happier. Will go back solely because of how helpful Wyatt was when it came to which runs were great and which ski boots my family and I should rent. Thanks again! read more

You can take the gondola to the Village. It has the lifts to the runs that lead you to the main lodge. It is spacious and I never had trouble finding a seat even during peak lunch hours. read more

Whats not to love. Easy to get in and out of. Solid food. And it is Mammoth.....

Canyon is a huge lodge, bigger than the others including Main. It has a ton of seating so if you're here on a busy day you'll probably fare better here. The cafeteria is less busy than Main on average as well, so you won't wait as long for your food. The food itself is the same as main, and is pretty tasty for lodge food. You'll be satisfied. It's a little expensive but that comes with the territory, the beers are super expensive though. The outdoor deck/bar is kind of small and is almost always packed. Slight knock: The cafeteria and main dining area is on level 4 (one up from the lift lines outside), but you have to go down one level to 3 to get to the restrooms. I wish they would have put some bathrooms upstairs as well, but it's not a huge deal. read more

Of mammoth's three lodges (main, canyon and eagle), canyon is by far my favorite. This is mostly, because Its the largest, most spaced out of the lodges. During lunch time that makes a big difference when you're trying to find a table to eat. In the mornings it's just nice not to have to wait in the cold outside for some stragglers in your group. I like starting from this area....great way to warm up your legs before making your way to Broadway or McCoy. However, it's crowded and the snow gets really chopped up by mid afternoon. read more

We were there on Friday trying to book a class for my son and rental gear, we were sent up and down the floors a couple of times. We ended up getting the class downstairs and the real equipment upstairs, by this time my son was overheated by walking back and forward wearing the snowboarding gear and carrying his board. We sat down waiting for rental and he fainted and had a seizure(dehydration and altitude could had been the issue). The staff were great responding to our medical emergency and fast at getting us an ambulance. I was told that I was going to be able to get a refund the next day so I went back. I talked to "Kylie" the supervisor at the time, I was very disappointed and disturbed on her lack of listening to the customer and addressing the situation, she kept telling me there where no refunds given, I explained the medial emergency we had and that I was instructed to come back for my refund, then she asks me for a doctors note. I'm very disappointed that a person that lacks attention and customer service is supervising the place. Later we talked to the actual manager and he was good at helping us. I was concerned that all that waiting in a very crowded place could trigger another seizure, if only the supervisor could had more responsive and think out of the box to help process the refund and not made us wait. Such lack of empathy and professionalism on her. Reason why I'm giving a 3 start and the other staff that kept sending us to different departments the day of the incident. I suggest better training! read more

Love canyon lodge, can quickly run in and grab a drink, use the restroom, grab some food, or get my skis waxed. Love everyone who works here and it's easy to get from the village if you take the gondola! read more

Mammoth Mountain Ski Resort at the Canyon Lodge was an experience I'll never forget . Not only is it clean and a warming facility it is much more because of a manger Nicholas Swiatek who was a saving grace for my family . I noticed this manger before my first interaction with him . He had a smile at all time , helping every employee to guide for the guests best interest . I knew I could walk up to him with any question feeling at home . He saw I had a 3 year old who was hungry and with the long food line he had a small French fry ready for her . He was more than an ordinary manager he was the extraordinary manger making our experience the best we could get . He made a difference by paying attention to others , giving them the respect they deserve and serving us made a positive difference . Even better than the random act of kindness, I will share why he was my saving grace . During the busy lunch hour , long lines , and crowds my 3 year continued walking as I was getting ketchup for her fries , she walked ahead towards our table . We must of both realized we were separated . I calmly try to reserve my behavior by going straight to an employee to let her know I'm missing my little girl . As this was my third child and my first experience for a lost child of mine, I tried to contain myself best as i could . For about 2 minutes and right before I fell apart , there was Mr. Nicholas Swiatek holding my 3 year old . Because of the small French fry he had given to us for purchase my little girl didn't forget his face and ran right up to him scared for she was lost. He knew who we both were and he brought her right to me. This manager not only made a difference he made our experience turned from an ordinary to the extraordinary. It is people like Nick who make this world a better place . We were so grateful for him , that this review was necessary to show our appreciation for him and his example .
