I use Cape Cod Appliance for all my repairs and have used them when we rented our home. They are always realiable and fix everything on the initial repair day. I can usually get a repair within a few days. My appliances are by Viking and SubZero, and I have found Cape cod Appliance usually has the parts needed and the knowledge to repair them! my washing machine wasn't working so I called Cape Cod Appliance to come out and look. I told them that I needed an afternoon appt when I called. The day of the appt they called and said the technician would be there between 9am and 12pm..not quite an afternoon appt. The Technician arrived and checked my machine. After a few minutes he tells me whats wrong with it and that the service manager would call me later in the day to give me an estimate for fixing it. He then hands me a bill for over a hundred dollars for about 5 mins of work. Not only that but I'm pretty sure he just googled the error code that was flashing on my machine because I did that after he left and it what I read was almost exactly what was written on the website. This was on a thursday. I never got a call from a service manager that day so the night day(Friday) I called Cape Cod Appliance and was told that parts were ordered, that parts take 5-7 days, and that someone would call me early the next week to set up an appt. BTW..i was never given an estimate on the repairs. On thursday of the following week I called again since I hadn't heard anything all week I was again told that they were just waiting on the parts to be delivered so they could schedule an appt to fix it. I asked for an estimate and the lady told me she didn't have that information at hand and that the service manager would call me later on. I again never received a call that day. Finally the next day, the service manager called me with an estimate. I told them i needed the machine fixed and he said fine, he would order me the parts and get back to me when they arrived. What What what? On 2 separate occasions I was told the parts were already ordered. When I told him that, he said I must be mistaken. I again told him the story and he then said oh, I guess we thought we ordered them but we didn't. He then proceeded to give me attitude. I hung up and got someone else to fix the machine..at more than half the price of what these morons quoted me. Stay away from this company. Great service from a great company. I have used them many times and many of my friends have also. They are always very prompt with coming out to assess the repair. Prices are fair and customer service was very friendly. I would highly recommend them. read more

Can I give them no stars Forced to use this company Appointment was set up originally by George Washington Toma Margaret called to say I had an appointment for Wednesday 7/12 which was a week away from the original call Emailed work to say I would be out that day. Received another call on my machine saying that the appointment was for Friday 7/14 called Margaret and she said that the appointment was for Friday 7/14 told her that was not what she said when I spoke to her 2 days ago Dead silence No Explanation just that the appointment is Friday Guess what Not at the cape today Service just called to say he is 10 minutes away Called Margaret and she said yes the appointment is Wednesday well I have it on my machine that you said it's not Wednesday it's Friday Well I'm not there I will come down can he come back later in the day Nope Ok I guess I'll keep Fridays appointment Margaret says you don't have one Friday but we can come Monday If it wasn't so frustrating it would be funny I almost feel like I'm on a show that tests your limits Margaret needs to get her s__t together No apology nothing Let's see what happens Monday Only reason they must survive is the lack of options on the Cape read more

My wife called for an estimate on a refrigerator - was not told about any fee for an estimate. CC Appliance showed up looked VERY briefly at the fridge and held his hand out for "fifty bucks" - My wife explained that she was not told about any fee, at that point the service man became very rude and aggressive with her, she refused to pay - he called her an abusive expletive and left in a huff - as if that was bad enough Cape Cod Appliance then took us to small claims court for the $50!! I am so disgusted with this company I can't tell enough people what happened! Please don't give them ANY of your hard earned money. read more

While still well under the 1 year warranty of a brand new Maytag washer dryer stackable unit, we were experiencing repeated issues with the washing machine throwing codes thereby disallowing a full cycle to complete. We purchased the unit from Terry's in Harwich. They promptly called one of their list of service agents, Cape Cod Appliance Service. They came out, said it was a known / common problem with this washer and replaced the bad 'Electronics board' completely. When they were finished with the repair, they charged us $125 because it was a stackable and they needed a second guy to unstack the units. WHAAAT? are you kidding me? It's under warranty and is sold as a stackable unit. After paying the tab, I find out from Terry's that was absolutely unacceptable. The gal at Terry's also mentioned they have had multiple complaints from their customers about Cape Cod Appliance and will be reviewing whether to send this company as a service repair for their customers. My suggestion....Get another appliance repair company. Talk about taking advantage. Shame! read more

What a rip off!!! A pipe burst on Valentine's day - it was 11 below. We had a tech come over to our house in East Sandwich evaluate the washer & dryer. I asked ahead of time if the washer could be properly evaluated if it was not hooked up to any piping, and was told "Yes". I was quoted a service call price of $95 plus another $35 for the 2nd appliance. I said that nothing needed to be repaired, just evaluated to see if they would be more reasonable with their pricing, But was told "No". The tech was there for 10 minutes, plugged the washer & dryer in, then left. 10 minutes. I had no choice but to pay their gun-to-the-head bill. I've run my own business for over 25 years and know what a reasonable profit is; but have never gouged anyone $130 for 10 minutes of work. I will be sure to tell everyone I know on the Cape NOT to ever do business with Cape Cod Appliance Service. What a bold faced rip off!!! The Better Business Bureau and local authorities should know about this so-called "service" company. read more
