My go to Smoothie place during Summer. Also love the ice coffee and juices. Outstanding place!

This place is very cute and has a ton of great selections--both at the counter and in the shop itself. Yes, there are obnoxious signs. But at least the bathroom one tells you where the nearest public bathroom is. Places are not obligated to let us use their bathroom. My main problem is the food just isn't that great. Bakery items are nothing to write home about. Flavored coffee drinks are basically regular coffee with a splortch of chocolate syrup. Frozen drinks are watery. Breakfast sandwich is just a microwaved egg on an untoasted english muffin. Nothing is outright bad, but just not as good as it should be. It's the sort of place that, if the food was good, the whole place would be a smash hit. But because that key element isn't there, all of the nice touches and great menu fall to the wayside. I feel bad, because this place is cute, airy, and has lovely outdoor seating. I want to like it more. And I will keep giving it a try! read more

Great local spot with indoor & outdoor seating. And, yes my tourist friends, they do have WiFi! One of their pumpkin spice biscotti and a latte. Mellow music playing. Friendly service. Amazing place - breakfast sandwiches are my favorite, especially the sausage, egg and cheese on a portuguese muffin! Delicious! My husband loved the lemon poppy seed muffin which was toasted with butter. Plus we picked up a few slices of carrot cake for later! Another amazing thing is their turkey dinner! FANTASTIC. Plus it helps that the staff is GREAT! So friendly! And finally I LOVE that it is a wifi/laptop free zone. Let's keep the conversation happening without staring at our phones! I had a gift certificate for 2 lobster rolls at Chatham Perk and went with a friend for lunch, only to discover that they had closed the deli early that day. We were told that the deli would be open until 2 the next day. When we arrived at 1:40, the deli was closed. However, the woman I had spoken with the day before immediately volunteered to make the lobster rolls because she had told us that they would be open until 2. She had even alerted her manager to tell us when we came in. We really appreciated how accommodating the staff was and the lobster rolls were truly the best either of us had ever eaten. Basically, nothing but lobster on a grilled hot dog bun with a little lettuce, just as a lobster roll should be. read more

A three in one shop of ice cream, coffee, and sandwiches. A few sundry snack items to boot. Not sure if Chatham Coffee is singularly owned and managed or if each of the three sections are individually run. I went for the Nitrogen Ice Cream which is made to order in front of the customer. The chap promoting the nitrogen ice cream was extremely patient and friendly explaining as he progressed. The ice cream was indeed much denser and creamier than most. Only downside is it took about 15 minutes for our four smalls. A fun experience and great taste but I think had there been anyone else in the shop at the time it would have been a very long wait with not nearly as positive an impression. Also had a coffee, but even though they were using quality beans and made me a fresh pot, they were running it through a Bunn 60 second quick maker and the result was expectedly weak and poor tasting. read more

I liked this place! Friendly staff, fresh food, cute design! I got a pumpkin muffin and a Gatorade. The muffin was delicious! It kinda tasted like a coffe cake muffin, so if you like coffe cake you will like this. My only complaint was the Gatorade. I know they don't make it but I got one that was two months expired! read more

The staff is terrific, pleasant, efficient and accommodating. The product is good. The reason I'm giving 2 stars isn't just that it's unbearably hot in the summer, (not even a fan), but is for their bathroom situation. They have an out house as a bathroom. AND you have to walk down a hill on tricky terrain to get to it. They also let you know that you can drive around the plaza to the back of the buildings to get to the out house. Not very customer considerate or sanitary. An out house is gross even at carnivals, etc. let alone and established business. read more

"Signs signs everywhere a sign". Sheesh, I've never experienced a place as cold and controlling as this place. There are signs everywhere telling you "do this don't do that": "THERE ARE NO PUBLIC BATHROOMS" (What a nice first impression, posted on the front door in all capital letters. The "GO AWAY" welcome mat would compliment this sign nicely) "DO NOT READ PAPERS WHILE WAITING IN LINE, WE WILL YELL AT YOU, NOBODY WANTS TO BUY A USED PAPER" (Taken straight from the book "How Not To Run a Business". The papers are right there along side the line you wait in to place your order.) In addition the owner rudely and loudly shouts out orders at customers for anything that isn't on a sign. Based on the rude/loud owner, terrible ice coffee that tasted like they soaked a card board box in water, lifeless microwaved egg sandwich, high prices and the overall terribly cold experience I will never set foot in the place again. It's no wonder the place was empty on one of the busiest summer weeks on the Cape when there was lines out the door at similiar establishments in downtown Chatham. This place won't survive without changes. I will say, the young girl that waited on me was very nice. read more

I had a horrible expierence the last time I was in the Chatham Coffee Company. I went in, during the week and was very sick. I had ordered a hot water, I am highly allergic to tea. I was charged 1.00 for the water. I couldnt really talk so I just sat at my seat, which there were signs everywhere. In my opinion, if its a deli/coffee shop you would think you could sit on the seats and enjoy your beverage you had just purchased , your wrong. There are on certain areas where you are allowed to sit & eat. Rude signs everywhere not to read the newspapaers while waiting in line. All sorts of rules you need to follow. I had overheard the 2 staff talking about me & I had confronted the woman talking, who claimed to be the woman that owned the shop. She basically walked away from me while I was talking & refused to listen to what I had to say. I thought it was rude to be gossiping about the customers while we were sitting right there!! I had gotten my belongings & left, and it didnt sit right with me, so I then calld the Chatham Coffee Company & had spoken the woman again, claiming to be the owner Caroline. She answered the phone, and told me " I dont care what your complaining about", and let me talk for a minute, as I was confused she would be treating her customers in such a manner. She hung up on me & I havent been back since. I live in Chatham part of the year, and have spoken to many friends and told them about my expierence in the Chatham Coffee Company, I have heard the woman who owns it is very much so into her gossip in the town, is not respected by her staff and the people that support her business. My understanding the reason why she is staying afloat is because there are no other places in the area. She claims she bakes & cooks all the food that sells for the business, I have heard from many other patrons, she purchases & bakes the frozen items & simply throws things like soup into the crock pot. I also have read the previous comments & saw a moldy bagel. For someone who bakes them fresh, that doesnt say much about her product. No police ever go in there becuase she has had several disputes with the law enforcement. read more

This place changed ownership in late 2014. So much better now in terms of food quality and customer service. We live near by and pick up breakfast baked treats when we have guests and also ordered pies for the holidays from here. The cranberry apple pie was a real hit at the dinner table. read more

Excellent ice coffee with espresso shot. No skimping on the shot. Available either regular or dark roast ice coffee to mix. Milk & cream kept in high end/always closed thermos dispenser. Also had an Outermost sandwich-very nice grilled chicken with cheese and veggies. Cheerfully switched bread to delicious multi grain. This shop has ample seating and easy parking backed by friendly employee's. I will be back. read more

The Perk is our daily stop with friends for coffee.. Yes I said DAILY! PRO: The coffee is excellent and we love the muffins and juice bar, and the workers are very friendly. PRO: It's a "no-laptop zone" so don't come in to "rent" a table for the price of a coffee. They only have 6 tables, so I get that"camping out" is not allowed! solid sammie and coffee place that is a real bargain for Chatham (the Wellesley of Cape Cod). I found the owner to be a bit like the other reviewers said at first but once I started chatting with him, he opened right up and was very nice. I think he is just really focused on cooking, making food and doesn't think to schmooze. If he can't do that, then hire a few schmoozy workers to do it and he can stay busy making food. read more

Recently visited Chatham and had breakfast here twice. The ham and cheese croissants are terrific! While I was in line the person in front of me bought the last 5 pre made ones and one of the employees was kind enough to make me one from scratch! Fast service, reasonable prices, good coffee and a great atmosphere. Will definitely be having breakfast here a lot on our trip to Chatham again next year. read more

Huge disappointment! Have been a regular customer here since they opened . Always enjoyed a morning cup of coffee on way to work or quick lunch break sandwich here. Today we stopped in for a quick lunch on our day off. We were told we couldn't have a bagel because after 11 "they turn their toaster off". We waited 45 min for 2 deli sandwiches before we realized that they had put all lunch orders aside to fill an impromptu catering order. Good thing the guys behind us realized they had our sandwiches before they made it out the door. When we finally had our lunch in hand I took a bite of my sandwich and pulled a sharp piece of plastic out of my mouth. Sadly we will not be returning. read more

Just came back from vacation and went here all 3 mornings. Coffee was OK but the high school girls making it were woefully incapable. When my 5 year old daughter asked if she could use the bathroom, we were told "no, we don't have a bathroom" even though I am quite sure that is illegal. 2/3 mornings, all of the choice muffins and breakfast items were gone by 9:00. I wish I investigated better options in this otherwise neat town. read more

Great iced coffee. But that should be a given for a place that has "coffee" in it's name. I went for my first time today and ordered a breakfast sandwich on an asiago bagel. The bagel was incredibly stale and chewy which was disappointing . Especially because they only have 4 different bagel variations.... Not sure why they would ever feel the need to keep stale bagels in rotation. read more

Cute place! "Chatham Perk" is great café for lunch or dinner and their egg and cheese breakfast sandwich provided the perfect amount of flavor at just the right temperature. Very reasonable prices! The coffee, although a great cup of coffee, wasn't quite as hot as we were hoping for and it could have been just a little bit hotter. The employees were very kind, however, and were happy to brew another batch. Definitely worth stopping in here and grabbing a cupcake and coffee during your stroll through Chatham. read more

Today we needed a sandwich for our boat ride to see the seals so we stopped at the closest place to riders cove, the sandwiches were loaded with fresh deli and veggies and the new owner, Rich was nice enough to let my 5yr old daughter use the bathroom. Stood in line for 15 minutes waiting for the server behind the counter to say something to us as she made lunch sandwiches. When I finally spoke up and asked if she would be much longer, she said the deli wouldn't be open for another hour and couldn't make a sandwich for us to take boating. Never acknowledged my wife and me standing there as 3 people came behind the counter to ask if THE DELI SERVER needed help. Never again... they lost a customer who would have bought sandwiches every week. Luckily, there's another shop right down the street in the center of Chatham! read more

Wow, this place has really changed. It looks great inside, the staff are very friendly, and the food has been consistently good. I just wish that the iced coffee was made for you - it's a pain when your hands are full and they give you a cup of ice to make it yourself. But if that's the worse thing I can say about a place, no wonder I keep coming back. read more

I've come here twice and both times ordered a cappucino and some baked good. Both times the coffee has turned out well, as has the baked good. Service is good and you get your order fast. I haven't tried their sandwich-type stuff. One additional plus is that there is plenty of space for sitting and relaxing, there's free wifi, and parking is very easy to find. I go here at least once a week for lunch and I find it great. The food is always fresh and they have tasty daily specials. When i go in they greet me by name. The setting is comfortable so you can bring a computer and surf the internet while eating. It Chatham, it is THE place to go for coffee or a sandwich. read more
