For the East Dundee location:…read more The team at Driven Auto are generally personable and willing to help. We specifically came for a vehicle that they had listed on their website that was within our price range. Adam was kind (we felt no pressure) and went on a separate test drive with both me and my husband as we had our baby with us and weren't able to all go at the same time. The purchase process was fairly easy and we were happy to walk away with a new to us car that same day. After driving the vehicle home, we started to notice a grinding/clanking noise. It progressed and continue to get louder, so I called as I was concerned that it could be a significant safety issue. They got us in the following Monday and were able to determine that the front passenger side control arm needed to be replaced. We are grateful that they got us in quickly and replaced this free of charge. Unfortunately, there are a few issues that we are still having with the vehicle. The active noise cancelation system (ANC) has a microphone issue. Instead of reducing road noise, it is amplifying it when accelerating between 25-35 mph. My husband pointed this out when we brought the vehicle back for the control arm, but they were unable to fix that component. Also, during our test drive we noticed a noise that sounded similarly to an electronic deadbolt locking/unlocking (gear grind) when locking/unlocking the car. This was something my husband asked about but was told it was normal. Unfortunately, however it is not normal and it is actually a failing fuel lid actuator that we will need to replace as well. A few other issues have included tire sensor and display screen connectivity issues. I know what you are thinking... you bought a used car, expect issues. Yes, yes I know. This is just a warning for due diligence, as I'm not sure what type of service checks are done before these vehicles are listed. Lastly, the only other issue is the "I Owe, You Owe" contract. This was something we were asked to sign with the promise that the dealership would provide us a second key to our vehicle within 30 days. I made multiple requests regarding this, with the last 3 requests being within the last week of that 30 day contract. On the two occasions that I spoke with Max, who had also signed the "I Owe, You Owe" contract, he had told me he had been too busy over the last few weeks to call about a second key, but would get it taken care of. This is frustrating as I guarantee if we had "owed" something, and didn't follow up within 30 days, this dealership wouldn't have taken that lightly. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk. Good luck with your used car buying search.

They sold me a car with a known issue, misrepresented its condition-putting my safety at risk-and refused to replace the failed parts when the car broke down just a few thousand miles later. The full story: I bought a used Tesla here in October 2024. There was a steering alert on the dash--salesperson Ibrahim said he would fix it. After I got home (an hour away), the alert returned. Ibrahim told me the car was in great condition (which was materially false) and that the warning just needed to be reset. A few thousand miles later, the car became inoperable. Tesla confirmed the issue was due to worn suspension parts that existed when I bought the car and quoted me over $3,000 for repairs. The dealership marked the warranty disclosure as "N/A" and failed to note any defects, which I've since learned may violate Illinois law (815 ILCS 505/2L) because the car had under 100,000 miles. They refused to cover repairs--even if I used their own shop. Their service lead, Omar, quoted me over $1,300 to fix it. I've also since learned of multiple lawsuits pending against Driven Auto Sales across the U.S.

After receiving a 5.74% rate online, the local team (led by Sean Markham) spent hours trying to force a 12% rate, even with a massive $10,000 down payment.   They withheld information about the 'FedEx Option' for remote signing, claiming it didn't exist until they were shown the CarMax website as proof. Even after the mistake was caught, they were unprofessional and made my grandchild wait an extra 90 minutes as retaliation. If you value transparency and honest business practices, stay away from this store.

Her experience should have been positive, as my family have bought multiple cars from CARMAX. She was preapproved with CarMax financing, with me as a so-signer. She test drove the car, told them about her financing and made a plan to return to purchase the car. She went on Saturday evening. She told them she had been preapproved for financing and had her $!0,000 down payment. Sales Manager Sean Markham then became involved and spent the next couple hours telling my daughter that she could not finance the car with me as a co-signer because I wasn't physically there. 2 hours. She continued to question why would they waste her time if the answer was no. Sean Markham's response was " well, we need to to better and this can be used as a learning experience." Sorry Sean, it is possible because once I got on the phone and told you the CARMAX has a policy called FEDEX Option. It is on their website. It is a CARMAX policy that if a co-signer is far away, they will fedex the forms to a local CARMAX for me to sign. Once I explained to Sean Markham that I know their policy he quickly made excuses and immediately went and called his manager for approval...just a minute before and for 2 hours, even with my daughter expressly asking for this, there was NO possible way to make this work. Amazingly, once the dad spoke up he changed his time. SEAN MARKHAM is a worthless piece of garbage who tried to take advantage of my daughter because he thought he could pad his bonus by making her pay 12% instead of 5%. DO NOT SHOP as this CARMAX until they address this bait and switch tactic. Late Saturday night, 3 male salesmen intimidating a young person to increase their money. ABSOLUTELY NOT OK! BIG TOUGH GUY Sean Markham changed his tune pretty quickly once he was caught being unethical!!! We have emailed CARMAX corporate and the local managers. We are also contacting the Illinois Attorney General for consumer protection and the Better Business Bureau. CARMAX management, I need to know what you will be doing to mitigate this situation and convince me, my family and friends to use CARMAX in the future?

I was only willing to take certain colors, such as blue, orange, red, burgundy, or yellow as the last resort. I kept coming across this ad with no pictures, so I would overlook it and keep looking. Then I decided to read the specs of the Corvette with no pictures. It was Daytona Orange with Kalahari Leather and chrome wheels. The mileage was 23,500. It read, Rare Color Combination. That was it, I was sold. I immediately contacted the dealership and spoke to Manny initially, then Zaia for 95% of the process, and Rick to finish things off after delivery of the Corvette Z06. Read your contracts carefully and ask tons of questions because you are signing for a high-end automobile from miles away. I got approved right away, but the hardest part of the entire transaction was finding a suitable carrier to deliver it. It was snowstorm after snowstorm in the Chicago area in the middle of December, plus 2 holidays back to back, so the delivery companies kept canceling. I wanted to fly up, but Covid-19 and the weather was an issue for me as well. I was so tired of waiting, I contemplated canceling the entire transaction. However, I knew that would be a big mistake. This one was rare to me, and I haven't seen one like it yet, with the same color combination. Eventually, the Corvette was delivered and I was so glad I waited. I had at least 5 people drive by in the parking lot as it rolled off the truck to either say, "Is that yours? I love the color." One guy actually stopped and got out of his truck and we exchanged numbers, to cruise later. I felt like a celebrity for a minute there. It's the first Corvette out of 5 that actually came with 4 brand new tires. It needed 4 new TPMS Sensors, but Rick reimbursed me for those, and I had them replaced locally. Zaia even had a brand new lip splitter installed on the front. I was so grateful for that. Communication throughout the transaction process was about 90% to 95%, but then again, I blame it on the holidays. I did have to nudge them a bit to get information about whether or not they found a company to ship the vehicle. Dealing with Rick, communication was an EASY 100%. I am a 20 year Army Veteran and I am a stickler for information in a timely and accurate manner. I'll tell you this. If I wanted a car that is a high end and rare combination, with all the bells and whistles, I'd just return to their website and start searching. Thanks, guys, Keith B. Douglasville, GA
