Amazing restaurant with several locations. I went to the one at AMP in 16-Tech. I got the lobster roll and baked beans. WOW was it good. The lobster roll was very fresh and the portion of lobster was so generous. The baked beans were amazing, too. The staff was friendly and the service was very fast. The AMP is a very nice location. It's pretty much a typical food hall, and it works! In the past I've had fried catfish and fried okra, too. Both were AMAZING. The catfish was so fresh, too. They have such a huge menu with so many options. It's hard to find sea food this good in Indiana. Caplinger's is DEFINITELY a must visit in Indy.

I decided to try Caplingers at The Amp at 16 Tech location because of how I enjoyed the other locations. The greens are OK. I will try a different pair of the For the best experience, I recommend eating at the venue, as it taste better.

This place never disappoints, and is always busy! If you're craving seafood this is the place to go. You may have to wait a little longer for your order but rest assured it will be fresh and there's nothing like a hot fish sandwich. I'm not a huge fan of their fries but the collard greens and red beans and rice hit the spot! They also have a fresh fish counter if you want to grab something to cook at home with all the seasonings you can image and several different seafood salads and fish dip. This is a counter service restaurant and seating can get a little tricky if you're there at prime lunch or dinner time so beware, but you can always get it to go!

I have been to the other location but this was my first time here. I did not know it was like a food court at a mall. But, the food court was really slow even on a Friday evening. At first, I thought the entire building was shutdown. However, I did see some people inside so decided to give it a try. I got softshell crab sandwich as I remembered it was good at the other location I have tried. It was good and would order it again. Wait was not long at all, service was good. I really don't know why the entire place is so slow.

Smoked tuna salad sandwich and fried okra. Great!

Oh, it's so sad to see Ken N. visited here 2 months ago. RIP Ken :-( My oh my my smoked tuna salad sandwich had a good smoked flavor to it. I loved how it had the right consistency for tuna salad. The lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, and sliced onions all worked so well together. The buns they use are baked by Corner Stone Bakery. I had a hard time choosing which side because they all sounded so good. Hush puppies, sweet corn with old bay seasoning, and fried okra with remoulade sauce were the contender's. I need to remember to get that sauce to try with them. Fried okra won and they were good and hot. They give you a nice sized sandwich and good amount of fried okra. I would definitely order it again. I'm glad they're in the AMP and if you haven't tried Caplinger's I would definitely try them. They have a big menu and also have desserts - pineapple bread pudding with vanilla cream sauce - yum- Mrs. Wick's sugar cream pie, Mrs. Wick's pecan pie, key lime pie, cake by the slice - cheesecake, chocolate cake, carrot cake, limoncello mascarpone cheese - yum - Can't wait to try more!

The crab cakes with remoulade sauce are so yummy, but a little pricey... market price, in fact. I would suggest getting the dinner which comes with two crab cakes and two sides and hush puppies for about $20. The cakes alone are $10 each. The greens are flavorful and spicy and the yams are nice and sweet!

When you come into the AMP from the new road with all the free on street parking between Waterway Blvd and Indiana Ave, Caps is located behind the barber shop. They are right beside Mambo's. The Shrimp Po-Boy was excellent! The shrimp were a tad larger than medium size. And plentiful unlike that famous N'Awlins fast food chain. I deleted the onion and Remoulade Sauce. The sandwich comes on a toasted Hoagie roll instead of the traditional French Bread. I think this is healthier. My side order for my combo was the Red Beans and Rice which turned out to be too spicy for me. Not to worry because they have ten other quality sides to choose from next time. I totally missed the desserts AND the Gator Bites appetizer. I definitely have to come back and keep blinders on so as not to be distracted by the other food vendors.

This is one of the best places to get seafood in the city. They have several locations. This is the newest location which is in the AMP at 16 Tech food hall. The seafood here is always fresh and cooked to order.

Downtown Indy has a new seafood option & the good news is that with the popularity of the other Caplinger's locations around the city, you already know it's amazing. This new location is in the AMP, Indy's newest food hall located off of Indiana Ave, just south of 16th Street. I recently tried the lobster roll, one of the pricier items on the menu at $18.99, but it's well worth it. It's a generous portion of fresh, meaty, well seasoned lobster salad on a toasted pretzel roll & soooo good! The other things I've tried at their other locations have also been delicious and a great value for such quality seafood. This AMP location offers the same menu as the other locations, so come out and get sandwiches, melts, dinners, sides and dessert.

Love me a lobster roll. I have been wanting a lobster roll for weeks. They've closed their Whitestown/ Zionsville location ( sad face). Tonight we were close by Amp and my husband had other choices. Roll was very full of big lobster chunks. Great flavor. Only complaint would be the buffalo fries were super greasy. 28$ for Sandwich , fry and drink.

    Caplinger Special. Dinner.
    Gelone B.

Not sure what happened to my previous review of this location Ib thought that this location was closet to me since the Whitestown location closed BUT I learned today that their food truck is located daily at 71st and Michigan Road!!!!! This location is inside The Amp. Street parking is scarce but there's paid parking across the street. The service was friendly like the other locations and fish is cooked to order so there's a bit of a wait. There's plenty of open seating available nearby to enjoy great piped in music while you wait. It was Monday so half of the restaurants were closed. I ordered the Caplinger Special sandwich combo with collard greens and fountain drink. The sandwich was a large piece of basa that spilled out of the delicious bun with all the toppings and cooked just right. Crispy on the outside and flaky on the inside. The collards were tender and seasoned well. Way to go Caplinger for consistency at all locations!

This place is new to the the AMP but not to Indy. It has sooo many seafood options there is something for everyone whether your presence is fried, fresh or battered. The entire ordering process and time to get your food was extremely fast. I ordered two lobster rolls for takeout and travelled all the way to broad ripple with them before eating. These actually travelled very well since they were Maine-type lobster rolls which means they are served cold and covered in mayo as opposed to hot with butter (which is actually my fave). It makes sense to have the addition of a seafood place in the amp how they have similar options at The Garage nearby and they are a hit.

I have always been a fan of Caplinger's. Food always taste fresh, flavorful, not over seasoned either. This location did not disappoint me. The meals are $ savers.

The pastries I bought are really temperature sensitive and need to be kept cold. Both had a cream - mousse inside. They wouldn't last long only a day or to the next. I loved the pecan item I ordered. The bitter taste of espresso paired with the sweet mascarpone cream filling reminded me of the holidays when I would watch my mom make tiramisu for our family. While a lot of people prefer a sweeter espresso, I thought this was perfect and very true to a traditional tiramisu taste The Pear Kouglof reminded me of a fresh yeast donut that's been tossed in sugar This was a very kid-friendly pastry in taste and while I wasn't too blown away by it, it did make me wonder if I would have preferred it with a stronger, more potent, fruit. The Cherry Basque Cheesecake -- this pastry was the house favorite. The texture of this cheesecake was creamy, but somehow still spongey.. cakey, but more like pudding. Mix that with the juiciest sour cherries and the crunch of a biscoff crust.. mind blown was an understatement. We're looking forward to what Beurre Sec has planned for their next pop-up
