Where do I begin with this place? I yelped and found this place and Yes I was expecting a different Italian place with dishes from the pictures posted on here. I was a bit confused but we stayed and sat at the bar. The owner/bartender greeted us and explained how the menu works. You have your appetizers, choice of different shellfish, sauce, and level of spice to choose from. The spice goes from mild, medium, spicy, up to suicide. You can also get the Capri Bang as we did which consists of a lb of ea: shrimp, crawfish, clams, mussels, and snow crab legs all for Just $69 bucks? Oh, can't forget the corn on the cob, potatoes, and chourico it comes with! The sauce we got was cajun or capri sauce/medium and that's my favorite one. We also ordered their soft shell crab for an appetizer and that was really good...crispy and sweet. We were treated with such great customer service and went back to celebrate a friend's birthday dinner there. This time, we got the Capri Bang in "Da Mix"/suicide sauce which is their most popular one. We also ordered a few appetizers: soft shell crab, fried shrimp, calamari and added a 10 oz Sirloin to the mix with a garlic sauce. However, for me, I didn't like "Da Mix" sauce. It was a bit tangy for me like southern style (which is prob how it should be) but I most definitely enjoyed the Capri sauce? cajun sauce? well, it begins with a C. Our waitress was very sweet and attentive and was patient with our crowd ;p I can see us becoming regulars :) Don't be alarm that this wasn't the "Capri" you expected. One of the best seafood boils I have had! The waitstaff was friendly and accommodating.

I wanted to like this place based on the reviews I received from the hotel concierge, but it was a let down. I ordered a few items because fresh seafood is a must in Rhode Island. I ordered some an oyster starter that was like a stuffed oysters It was served with melted cheese and breadcrumbs. Unfortunately, it took on a mushiness texture. The oyster wasn't even noticeable as it was completely overpowered by melted cheddar. There are other options that serve better oysters. read more

They cook it and put it a bag with the most amazing garlic butter sauce and shake it up. You can add flavors or spices depending on your taste. I don't have a picture because it's been quite a while since I had Capri but I just wanted to say that the food was really good I had no complaints. The seafood was cooked just right but the next time I think I'll try a different flavor. The food here has consistently been delicious. My last visit I got the shrimp and snow crab combo with "da mix." It was delicious as usual. My friend got the stuffed lobster, which was huge. The stuffing was loaded with seafood. For an appetizer we got the ribs, which are so tender and yummy. An honorable mention should go to their mac n cheese because it's also very good. Get it as a side, it's worth it! The service and staff are great as well. (Even though I didn't see any of them wearing masks, it was not a dealbreaker for me.) It's also nice that they've been able to expand and open the patio, which means more room for diners. Safe to say that I will be back. read more

Came here because I wanted to take my parents to have some good seafood during graduation weekend in Rhode Island. We were NOT disappointed. The location is super cute and the restaurant is beautiful inside and out. Because it was a nice day we decided to sit outside. The service was excellent! Our waitress was sweet and helpful without being annoying with too frequent check ins. We ordered the moscato strawberry fishbowl for drinks. It was lovely! Super refreshing! It did not have much alcohol and definitely didn't do anything for us but was enjoyable nonetheless! We ordered a pound of crab legs and shrimp spicy with 'da mix' when I say I couldn't stop eating I mean it! The seasoning was divine and it was pleasantly spicy! I never visited this restaurant when it was under previous ownership, but I was excited to see they opened something new: a fusion of Mediterranean food with a Swedish twist (as my friend said, "That's a niche market"). Overall impressions: 1. Friendly staff (after they turned on the outdoor heater because I was cold, we ended up changing tables because the wind picked up. Sorry!) They were very nice and accommodating. 2. Interesting menu. I'm not sure exactly how Mediterranean or Swedish it is (there was an "Athenian salad" that was a far cry from a Greek salad, though it tasted good), but I would say there's something for everyone. 3. Realllllllyyyy good dishes. We got the Sweet Potato Salmon with risotto that was just short of divine. My friend said he doesn't eat brussel sprouts, that I would be getting all of his, but he somehow cleaned his entire plate and I didn't get a single brussel sprout. ROCK ON, CHEFS. Making moms everywhere proud. Also, the Penne Rustiche? Fabulous! I like spicy, and there was the right amount of spice, sausage, tomatoes, and al dente pasta: it was done perfectly. My former waitressing self would offer only this bit of advice: don't be afraid of suggestive selling! Mention a specific appetizer, ask us if we want to see a dessert menu. I came here by myself on a Thursday night and I really wanted seafood. I ordered 1 lb snow crab legs ($22.95) and 1 lb of prawns ($19.95) with the capri cajun (hot) sauce. Honestly, the crab legs didn't taste very fresh. The waitress told me that all they're seafood gets shipped in nightly since none of their seafood is local. Despite that though, i still expected the crab would be good quality but you can tell from the meat that it wasn't that great. For 1lb, there were only 3 prawns but they were very big. They tasted better than the crab but for $19.95/lb i probably would go with the regular shrimp next time. I did love the sauce, though it was pretty buttery. It had a tang to it (from lemon) which you don't normally get at similar restaurants. Overall I don't think the seafood here is worth the money. read more

A bullit Manhattan for my husband and hillside something(I'm still slightly intoxicated as I write this) Then the hubby had a mini combo B with copious amounts of crab, shrimp, sausage, clams, potatoes & corn with the medium Cajun sauce while I had the mortal surf & turf combo done spicy with da mix. Hunks of steak, broccoli, shrimp, crawfish, sausage, potatoes,clams, & mussels. I go to Capri often and was there during summer. I went there yesterday and was very disappointed. Between waiting a long time for them to fix my food and the food looking very different and dry from the last time I got there, I am not sure I'll be going back. I ordered the "Mortal" which is surf and turf. I had Capri Cajun Spicy seasoning. Overall the dish was good. It came out piping hot, the seasoning was tasty, and spicy doesn't really mean spicy. Service was nice and responsive. Venue is fun. Main complaint was that you could tell that everything was cooked generically in some bland liquid and then coated in their seasoning. So once you de-shell shrimp and crawfish you have to lick for fingers for flavor. I know that it's prob not realistic to cook it all in the variety of seasonings they offer, but I'd rather they have a more limited menu and have a higher flavor product. Great place for a summer date night. It is in the heart of fed hill (in the square where there is live music and lots of bustle) We started with white wine (pomelos? They didn't have what we originally ordered. It was ok. A bit sweet and super overpriced. 8 dollars a bottle at the supermarket but 30 dollars at the restaurant?) But all is forgiven given ambience and the food!!! We got a boil with crawfish and snow crab in the Cajun lemon spicy sauce. It was divine and a lot of seafood for the price point. As I told him I'd never dined there before he told me to read the menu rather than offering to go over it with me. After I began to look it over on my own, he returned and said, actually let me walk you through it- and then explained that several things were not available to order.
