I recently discovered Captain Cookie through Too Good to Go and ordered a mystery bag to share with my coworkers. I was not sure what to expect, but I love a good surprise and my coworkers love a good sweet treat, so it felt like a win win. When I arrived, my mystery bag ended up being all chocolate chip cookies, so that is the only flavor I have tried so far. BUT when I put them in our breakroom around 9 in the morning, they were completely gone by 11:30. So it is safe to say they were a hit. Delicious and definitely not likely to last long if you are sharing with others. I am looking forward to coming back and trying more flavors. The store had a steady stream of customers, but the service was quick and smooth. One heads up: parking is a little tricky, so expect to walk a bit from where you park to the store. We went after meeting up friends for Oktoberfest next door. Location is great - they have indoor and outdoor seating and service is quick. We got one cookie-wich to share. It was on the pricier side but more than enough for two people to share. The cookies are delicious and the ice cream is great too. My family was staying in the vicinity and stumbled upon Captain Cookie and decided we would visit. We arrived around 10:15 PM on a Saturday night. There was no line and only one worker. Three of us got the duo which is a cookie and scoop of ice cream. My wife got milk and cookies. Ice cream was ok and the cookies were ok. After catching a movie nearby, I looked around for a place to eat and saw this shop near the restaurant I was headed to. I'm a sucker for a good cookie so stopping in was a no brainer. The shop was small and cute. There wasn't seating inside from what i can recall but there is seating available outside. The gentleman behind the counter was great. He was friendly and helpful. The cookies were reasonably priced but the ice cream scoops and edible cookie dough were a bit pricey for what you get. I tried the chocolate chip and snickerdoodle cookies. Both were good but not mind blowing. The edible cookie dough was good but the texture reminded me of play doh. They have a few other classic cookie flavors available to try so I would go back when I want a sweet treat in Arlington. read more

I really enjoyed the interior of the store despite its size, it still offered enough space for seating and for you to view their edible dough and ice cream. They had a small case in which they kept the cookies, however the cookies didn't really taste like anything outside of what you could make at home. BUT, I really want to try their edible dough jars that they have and possibly their ice cream, so I would come back and try them again :-) Give them a shot! My friends and I decided to try this one day and we were not super impressed. We had heard amazing reviews but didn't really get the hype! The place itself is super cute and the employees are very friendly, which is always amazing. In terms of the food, I got an ice cream sandwich with a double chocolate cookie and peanut butter cookie with cookies & creme ice cream and the ice cream was really good but the cookies were mediocre. They were honestly really crunchy, and I prefer my cookies on the softer side - maybe if they had been heated up? Overall, if you like crunchy cookies - I highly recommend, or if you're just looking for some ice cream. There are about 8 or so ice cream flavors to choose from and a variety of cookie flavors to choose from as well! Very cute addition to the courthouse area. We've only gotten the half dozen cookies and all have been delicious. We warmed up the chocolate chip cookie and ate it with vanilla ice cream at home which was super. I was in the area so stopped in at their Arlington location for a ice cream cookie sandwich. I love that you can customize your sandwich - pick your top cookie, bottom cookie and ice cream flavor. My sandwich was delicious! It's expensive but you get quite a lot, though the ratio of ice cream to cookie is a bit off (you get way more ice cream) so you have to eat with a spoon. I just wish my cookies were warm (they might have been warmed up a touch but they need to go longer to be more gooey), they started to get hard midway through. They also had a case of edible cookie doughs in a variety of flavors which all looked tasty too! The cookies were very small for the price and just tasted very artificial. The ice cream as well. Today I tried to give them another chance and ordered an Oreo milkshake (I was craving one so bad and the closest milkshake would require me tot take the metro). I always see this place empty and now I know why. This is probably the worst shake I've ever had in my life. I don't know what kind of base was used but the shake tasted horrible. I'd only ever been to the DC location and was elated when my boyfriend and I were the leaving the movie theatre and stumbled on this location. Per usual, the ice cream and cookies did not disappoint. My boyfriend doesn't particularly have a sweet tooth but he even couldn't resist the ice cream sandwiches. What made this visit even better was the exceptional service we received from Laquisha and Atistose. They were amazingggg and real troopers considering how hot it was in there.
