Our dinner was better than expected! We don't typically make it to Brooklyn Center but made the trek since I have been craving it and I'm 12 weeks pregnant. Definitely satisfied the craving! We had Cajun fries, 1lb King crab and the Combine Em with 1 snow crab cluster and 1/2lb headless shrimp all in the boom boom sauce at medium heat. Our favorite by far was the king crab. The heat level was perfect since it didn't over power the delish seafood. It was delectable! Our total bill was $84 + tip which we felt was reasonable. Once to take our order, once to get our check (and our first refills) and then to give us our receipt. It was absolutely ridiculous. I feel bad for not tipping 20%, but she did not deserve it. We arrived around 7:30 pm on a Tuesday so the place was pretty much empty. But after an hour or two that's when more people started to show. We ordered w/ the suggestion of the waitress since it was our first time. Our food came pretty quick. It looked sooo good. Since it was 3 of us we ordered the Captains Platter with mild spice. Overall it was tasty. My only thing was on the side of the platter where I was eating was a bit salty, but when I grabbed food from the other end of the platter it wasn't salty. We thought maybe we had to mix it, but there was so much on the platter that mixing it would make a mess. Other than that, it was good and I'm glad we got this platter because we had a variety of seafood on it and were able to finish it between the three of us. The inside of the place looked pretty cool too. Felt like we were on a boat w/ all the decor. There's even a little spot up front where you can take photos. The place was very clean, especially the women's restroom when I went to wash my hands. The night was cold, but when we were inside the heater temp was just right. Didn't feel too hot. My wife is out of the house on Tuesdays so I am on my own for dinner. I will frequently try new restaurants as a treat to myself and to scratch the itch of breaking out of the norm. I decided this week to get the Catfish Po' Boy sandwich with hush puppies here. I had it delivered, and now I absolutely must come in to try it fresh. This sandwich was the absolute best I've had in years. The Voodoo sauce gave it a kick that didn't overtake the entire meal, the catfish was brilliantly battered and fried and not greasy as catfish can sometimes get, and the bread was still holding up to the sauce and lettuce. The hush puppies were so good that if I had not gotten so full from the meal, I would have ordered another delivery to my house. Forget trying new things, this is my new Tuesday night dinner, and I'll be telling everyone I know where to get the best Cajun food in the Twin Cities. read more

They call back and what they tell us is to bring in our order so they can redo our order anew.. and by then we were 60% into eating it before making our scary find. Place is clean and very cute on the inside. Been here twice and had good services. However I didn't like the Cajun's seasoning. It was more on the oily side. Barely any garlic and seasoning was not very flavorful (house mix). It was very plain which was disappointing. Not sure why some people were saying how good it was on here. Yikes. Cajun Deli in BP is waaaay much better. When ordering to make it "spicy or hot", it was not spicy at all. The spiciness level seems to be more catered to white people. If you want it spicy, ask for a few side of pepper in a small cup container. Also I think our shrimp were not fully cook. It was very soft compared to other places. Now I'm not an expert but it was suspicious how soft it was. I ended up with a really bad stomachache the next morning. I read an old review on here and they mentioned how they had a stomachache also. I would not recommend this place due to the fact on how plain the Cajun was. The representative was confused and had to ask the kitchen 2 times, with me on hold each time, if my order was received. I was told order received and almost ready. When I went to pick it up, the representative was confused upon me giving her my name. She found it and rang it up giving me a total but I had paid already. The food was not good. Not enough sauce in seafood boil and the blue crab were not fresh. Friday's Catfish was not fried hard as asked and not seasoned at all. We will not return. read more
