We have been repeat customers at this location for months, which makes this experience even more disappointing. We were seated quickly, but then left waiting for an extended period with no acknowledgment. During that time, we watched staff clean nearby tables and seat other guests who arrived after us--those guests were served drinks and given utensils while we were completely overlooked. After waiting, I asked if we had a server assigned, and was told that a manager would come assist us after finishing with a large party. Meanwhile, several employees appeared available but made no effort to check on or assist us. It took over 30 minutes for someone to finally take our drink order. At that point, we asked to speak with a manager, only to be met with confusion, as no one seemed to know who the manager was. Additionally, when I asked a young hispanic female employee for help, she appeared more focused on counting her tips than assisting a customer. The level of service we received was unacceptable. It is extremely frustrating to be treated as though we were an inconvenience simply for asking for basic service like drinks and placing an order. Being ignored while others were served ahead of us was both disrespectful and disorganized. This experience was incredibly disappointing, and unless something changes, we will not be returning.The manager name on duty was Brandy. Had a great experience having dinner with a group here! Service was relatively fast & friendly. I ordered a pound of head-on shrimp, with captain special seasoning, & mild spice. It came with lemon and it was delicious! I've had seafood boil countless times but I've surprisingly never had lemon served with it! It perfectly complemented the seafood. The dish had the perfect flavor & level of spice for me. Food came out hot and yummy. I also ordered the cajun fries to share and they were quite yummy. The flavor wasn't the strongest but I still enjoyed it. Unfortunately, they did have a mixup with a friend's order. They substituted one of the items in their order but it was still served to them. When they notified the server, they took the bag back and my friends had to wait a while before they received the replacement. Never thought I'd give a one star review but here we are. I was really looking forward to dining at Captain Crab, but unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. We originally requested a table for 10, but were told they couldn't accommodate it. We then asked if we could split into smaller tables, which they initially agreed to. However, we were told that wasn't possible because they had sent a server home early and were about to send another home as well. They also mentioned they were closing early, which wasn't communicated online or anywhere else. They went from if it was a smaller group to a no. I understand staffing issues happen, but the way this was handled felt unprofessional and unaccommodating. Im disgusted. i ordered the King Crab boil, no include sausage. When my order arrived with sausage, I pointed it out and showed staff what I had ordered. They acknowledged the mistake and remade it. We also got oysters as an appetizer and they were delicious. We came with a group of 6, plus a two year old and a baby. They had a chair to hold our car seat which was super convenient. This spot was suggested by a family member after plans for Boiling Crab fell through. Wait time there was one hour and forty five minutes. Frustrated and having paid $15 for parking because it was a Kings game day we realized we had to come up with a backup plan. Captain Crab was only a short drive from K street and after calling them we discovered there was no wait time! We showed up with a party of 9, 7 adults and 2 children. They quickly seated us. There were plenty of TV's on all the walls. Great right? Except they had the Lakers vs Warriors game on while there was currently a Sacramento King's game. That's unacceptable to me. We live in SACRAMENTO! The King's are good again and currently hold better records than both teams. It took the ladies working the front counter over 30 minutes to change the game after asking. Thanks for letting me vent. Service here wasn't great. The lady that helped us wasn't overwhelmed by any means but she was the only one who helped us the entire time. It would've been nice to have another waitress or waitress or even a manager stop by and check periodically. That never happened. Being that we had a table of more than 6 there was an automatic 15% gratuity added to our bill. The food here was cheaper and just as good to me as Boiling Crab. I didn't notice a big difference. That says a lot considering we didn't have to wait for a table. Parking here was effortless as well. It is next to Urban Air but doesn't share a parking lot which is a big plus. The flavors of the seafood boil bags were magnificent. Went with the medium spicy and by the end I was sneezing and had a runny nose. Lol that's how you know it passed the spice test! The sandwich itself was okay. 3 shrimp inside each half of a sandwich. There was no sauce in the sandwich and separated the tartar sauce which I appreciated. Overall, for the price it was as I mentioned, just ok. The Cajun fries weren't seasoned enough. The snow crab was really good, as well as the shrimp! The corn and potato were not bad. The sausage and egg were okay. The flavor of the captain special sauce was super good! It was a tiny bit salty, but really good. The crab was cooked perfectly and the meat was nice and soft. There was plenty of food for two, and we ended up with leftovers. The restaurant had a casual ambiance with many long booths for big parties. The service was good in the beginning, but was lacking by the end. There were a few times I asked for items that either didn't come or I would have to ask a second time because it was forgotten. At the end, I ended up getting my own to-go bag and packed my to-go items. The regular price of the Famous Low Country Boil is $33.99, however, there was an MLK holiday special price of $19.99.
