We have been repeat customers at this location for months, which makes this experience even more disappointing. We were seated quickly, but then left waiting for an extended period with no acknowledgment. During that time, we watched staff clean nearby tables and seat other guests who arrived after us--those guests were served drinks and given utensils while we were completely overlooked. After waiting, I asked if we had a server assigned, and was told that a manager would come assist us after finishing with a large party. Meanwhile, several employees appeared available but made no effort to check on or assist us. It took over 30 minutes for someone to finally take our drink order. At that point, we asked to speak with a manager, only to be met with confusion, as no one seemed to know who the manager was. Additionally, when I asked a young hispanic female employee for help, she appeared more focused on counting her tips than assisting a customer. The level of service we received was unacceptable. It is extremely frustrating to be treated as though we were an inconvenience simply for asking for basic service like drinks and placing an order. Being ignored while others were served ahead of us was both disrespectful and disorganized. This experience was incredibly disappointing, and unless something changes, we will not be returning.The manager name on duty was Brandy. Her team needs to help her more as the restaurant can not run with her alone and that needs to be communicated. Employees seem very lazy. read more

The dish had the perfect flavor & level of spice for me. Food came out hot and yummy. I also ordered the cajun fries to share and they were quite yummy. The flavor wasn't the strongest but I still enjoyed it. Unfortunately, they did have a mixup with a friend's order. They substituted one of the items in their order but it was still served to them. When they notified the server, they took the bag back and my friends had to wait a while before they received the replacement. They said the wait would be 15-20 mins but after 40 mins of not getting a text we went inside and the lady immediately said we called you guys and you didn't show to which I explained that they were suppose to text us. Never thought I'd give a one star review but here we are. I was really looking forward to dining at Captain Crab, but unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. We originally requested a table for 10, but were told they couldn't accommodate it. We then asked if we could split into smaller tables, which they initially agreed to. However, we were told that wasn't possible because they had sent a server home early and were about to send another home as well. They also mentioned they were closing early, which wasn't communicated online or anywhere else. They went from if it was a smaller group to a no. I understand staffing issues happen, but the way this was handled felt unprofessional and unaccommodating. Being that we had a table of more than 6 there was an automatic 15% gratuity added to our bill. The food here was cheaper and just as good to me as Boiling Crab. I didn't notice a big difference. That says a lot considering we didn't have to wait for a table. Parking here was effortless as well. It is next to Urban Air but doesn't share a parking lot which is a big plus. I decided to swing by my workplace and browsed through Yelp on what to grab to eat on a Friday nearby. I discovered this establishment and thought, "Why not?". I ordered a shrimp po' boy to go around 1pm. Upon entering, there were a few patrons dining in. The place was well maintained and clean. I was greeted and received my order promptly. The sandwich itself was okay. 3 shrimp inside each half of a sandwich. There was no sauce in the sandwich and separated the tartar sauce which I appreciated. Overall, for the price it was as I mentioned, just ok. The Cajun fries weren't seasoned enough. We were given plastic bibs, plastic gloves, crab crackers, and a bucket for our shells. We ordered the Famous Low Country Boil, which comes with 1/2 lb snow crab legs, 1/2 lb shrimp, 1/2 lb sausage, one corn, one potato, and one hard boiled egg. For the sauce, we chose their most popular sauce, Captain Special, which is all the individual sauces combined - cajun, garlic butter, and lemon pepper. The snow crab was really good, as well as the shrimp! The corn and potato were not bad. The sausage and egg were okay. The flavor of the captain special sauce was super good! It was a tiny bit salty, but really good. The crab was cooked perfectly and the meat was nice and soft. There was plenty of food for two, and we ended up with leftovers. The restaurant had a casual ambiance with many long booths for big parties. The service was good in the beginning, but was lacking by the end. There were a few times I asked for items that either didn't come or I would have to ask a second time because it was forgotten. At the end, I ended up getting my own to-go bag and packed my to-go items. The regular price of the Famous Low Country Boil is $33.99, however, there was an MLK holiday special price of $19.99.
