By far The best B&B I've ever stayed in anywhere. Beautifully furnished, decorated and appointed. Lovely gardens and pool that's heated and open all year! Fire pit completes the setting. This B&B is more like a relaxing spa experience--each room is supplied with high end soaps, and amenities. Macaroons and a hand written card completes your welcome. The food is delicious and presented professionally and graciously. I highly recommend Captain Freeman's.

An outstanding bed and breakfast. Google will tell you it's a 3-star hotel but that's really a disservice to the quality and care that goes into your stay here. It's an old house but they have done a wonderful job updating the facilities (the bathrooms are gorgeous, AC was perfect) without sacrificing the charm. The property has a beautiful swimming pool and a great backyard garden for the lazy-afternoon-book-readers. It is walking distance to a small beach and central to many great dining options. The Covid-19 protocols they have in place are great and really reassuring that no corners were cut in ensuring guests' safety. The beating heart of the entire operation is the hospitality. Laurie and Jason are fantastic hosts and the great organization, thoughtful design and reliable great taste of Captain Freeman Inn is clearly attributable to them. The breakfasts are superb but the gentle guidance about our daily adventures (what to do, where to eat, etc.) in Cape Cod is certainly what I will remember the most. The price point is terrific - a steal considering what you get. We will most definitely return.

My husband and I stayed here back in 1994. So glad we came back this year! Wow what a beautiful renovation! The rooms the grounds were so nice and every detail is not overlooked. The pool is my favorite area, so peaceful. Just the perfect stay by the most gracious hosts/owners. Oh lets not forget the wonderful breakfast, afternoon snacks, and coffee/tea bar available on each floor 24/7. Will definitely be back!

My wife and I were invited to a wedding in Harwich and stayed 3 days at Captain Freeman Inn. It was our first time and we were very favorably impressed. The Inn is situated on a quiet street in a residential neighborhood and is a pleasant short walk to Breakwater Beach. It is immaculate, welcoming, and well staffed. Byron and Donna are helpful and always available. We enjoyed our room (Yarmouth) and found everything to be first class--the linens, furnishings, toiletries. The weather was changeable during our stay and the climate control system was effective and unobtrusive. The breakfasts alone are worth the trip. We have been in numerous B&B's with well-intentioned proprietors who try. Byron and Donna succeed magnificently. Besides breakfast, there are remarkable baked goods available during the day and a variety of fresh cold beverages. We would definitely return and advise others to give Captain Freeman serious consideration.

Soon as I walked through the door, I fell in love with this place. The owners Donna and Byron are so welcoming, helpful and friendly, you feel like you are at home. What makes this B&B so special is its one of a kind charm, the amazing breakfast and afternoon/evening treats (to die for!), the staff including their cute sweetie dog Harrison, and all the extras you get with your stay (local made natural bath soaps, morning coffee located next to your room, bath towels, umbrellas, etc.). Each room is decorated differently so there is a room for every Cape Cod style. There were so many other nice people staying there that it just added to the experience. The location is also ideal, walking distance from the beach, close to major highways, centrally located to great restaurants, other towns and is next store to the historic Brewster General Store. A must see on your Cape Cod travels. You know you love a place when you get sad to leave and I'm still bummed our vacation is over. Part of the reason why my boyfriend and I had such a great trip was because of our experience at the Captain Freeman Inn. I can't wait to stay here again and I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a quality, quaint and memorable B&B. Stay here for at least 3 days. I promise you will want to stay longer!

Lauri and Jason are wonderful hosts who have created a charming and elegant Inn. Both the exterior and interior are beautifully decorated with so much attention to detail. The Inn is spacious, comfortable and immaculately clean. We stayed in the Brewster Room. We arrived to 2 decadent cupcakes and a personalized hand written note. The bed and pillows were so luxurious and comfortable. There is a large closet, a/c, gas fireplace. Additionally, bathrobes and slippers were available. The breakfast was absolutely delicious as were the sweet, freshly baked goodies available in the afternoon. Coffee and tea is readily available throughout the Inn. Laurie and Jason accommodated our different food preferences by providing us options. They out of their way to ensure that we were comfortable and that all of our needs were met. There are both blankets and umbrellas available to utilize outside. We loved the gas fire pit in the back and the rocking chairs on the front porch. They gave us suggestions for things to do in the area and were always available if we needed them. We will with out questions return in the future.

We came to the Cape for the 1st leg of our honeymoon and stayed at the Captain Freeman Inn for 4 nights. I was excited for a sweet BnB, and this place was SO MUCH MORE! #1: the rooms are great! If you can tolerate a queen bed, the Harwich Room has THE BEST shower/bathroom. All of the rooms are cute though, and spacious with nice sitting areas. The antiques are well maintained and everything was extremely clean. #2: breakfast is out of this world! Every day our breakfast was unique and filling. We rarely needed to eat again until early afternoon or evening. #3: the owners' and staffs' attention to detail was exceptional. If I could give them 6 stars, I would. Thank you Byron & Donna!!! It was a honeymoon that one only dreams of!

I'd also add that I've never in all my years stayed at such an immaculate inn. The bedding was exceptional and after composing this review I will make my way over to the Sonoma Wool Company website (what Amy does in her spare time-LOL) to order the luxurious wool pillows we were lucky enough to sleep on. Breakfast is a delicious daily treat, which we were fortunate enough to have each morning poolside, amid the gorgeous gardens on the inn's grounds.

The bedroom features an oversized California King bed, a desk and chair, television and lounge chair with ottoman. Beautiful French double doors lead to one of the loveliest features of the room which is a private deck with chairs. The living room has a delightful fireplace, comfortable sofa and another television. There is also a tastefuly done little kitchenette which was stocked with dishes and glassware as well as a mini fridge. And off the living room is the attractive bathroom stocked with toiletries and comfortable robes. Right outside our room was a Flavia coffee and tea maker as well as another refrigerator with complimentary creamer, soda and bottled water. The table in our bedroom also had a complimentary decanter of sherry and two scrumptious chocolate truffles were left on our pillows each evening. Although most of the inn's rooms are in a separate building a few steps away, breakfast is served each morning in the main house and in the company of Harrison, the inn's resident and well behaved Labradoodle. An afternoon sweet treat of cake or cookies is also provided in the main house and there's always a bowl of chocolates if you need a sweet to tide you over. We had the bad luck to not have the inn-keepers, Donna and Byron, in residence during most of our stay as they'd suffered a death in the family and were out of state. However, they'd left clear instruction with their staff about our arrival and we were warmly greeted and welcomed. During our stay, the staff was quick to answer questions about the area and to provide restaurant recommendations. The room itself also contained a lot of information about local attractions and restaurants. The night before our last day we came back to our room to find a complimentary bottle of champagne and note from the innkeepers with their sincere regrets for having been away during our stay. That was a very nice touch and was greatly appreciated. On the down side, we actually didn't think much of the breakfasts as they were largely flavorless and frequently included microwaved bacon. We wondered if the food suffered due to Donna's absence because she was billed as the cook. Both Donna and Byron were back on our last morning and it was Donna who prepared our breakfast that day. The food did improve under her stewardship but we'd still say it compared poorly to other B&B's we've visited. Our room, though lovely, did have some oddities. All the plumbing fixtures were installed backwards so that all handles turned in an atypical direction and the shower pipe was loose which restricted some of the water pressure. The impression was that the work had not been professionally done. In the bedroom, the bed was oddly situated with one side far too close to the wall despite more than ample room on the other side. It made it uncomfortable for the person sleeping on that side to get in and out of bed. Finally, we do have somewhat of a pet peeve with inn-keepers who advertise suites, which should be two separate rooms divided by a door, even though the room does not meet that criteria. In this case, the only separation between the bedroom and living room was a screen. Nevertheless, the inn was quite nice and Donna and Byron were charming hosts who had trained their staff well. Brewster is located mid-Cape and convenient for day trips to Hyannis and Provincetown which makes this a good choice for a place to stay and there are some lovely beaches right by the inn. Overall we enjoyed our stay on Cape Cod very much.

So, yeah... this is definitely going to be a mixed review for Brewster Green Resort…read more... Our unit was a 2bd/2ba, and super duper spacious it was... full amenities, as in washer/dryer, full kitchen, both a breakfast nook and a formal dining table, smart layout to the unit, closets galore, hair dryer...... But our particular given unit, 24 #90D was plastered with impregnated smoke that we all loathed... severely. We kept windows open at all times to push out what could not be pushed out... not in the carpet, the sofa, armchair, or the walls. Bugger. The bathrooms were very wonderful... very clean, fluffy, thick white towels and nice sized....however, in the kitchen, there wasn't even a chopping board or a colander (or even salt/pepper!) for the night that we cooked up our massive seafood fest. Also, the knives in the block were cheap as can be, and about to fall apart, literally.True that the property provided lobster pot and crackers and other unique lobster-getting devices. 2 large flat screen TVs were a nice touch, especially when we watched a few new releases...and there is also a stereo, DVD player, and VCR included. ZIPPO sundries of any sort provided, outside of lame hand soap. Bring your own shampoo, creams, toothpaste, and such. There is a semi-enclosed backyard that can be accessed both from the master suite as well as from the living room space. Nice. 2 grills out there as well as a table and 4 chairs. I read my Brothers Karamazov in the morning with some Dunkin Donuts coffee. Overall, happy with the unit were it not for the smoke, and the fact that truly utilizing that kitchen is a challenge as well as frustrating. Clubhouse in the front has an indoor pool, hot tub, sauna. Very dated indeed....Tennis courts, indoor volleyball, and outdoor pool for later in the summer. If you're in the mind for an 'Anne of Green Gables'-type setting with lush ponds around and equestrian center bordering it.... then this extremely quiet and expansive older property on the green is it for you. PS Super close to the 6A, very near to Orleans, which has great things. Brewster itself is much smaller and has a few galleries and such in its town. Also not too far from historic Chatham and only about 20 mins to the beginning of the CC National Seashore, and about 50 to Provincetown! PPS Strangest occurrence, true story: we were all playing Settlers of Catan, and a gardener came straight up to the side window (he must have not known we were inside the dining room) and took a leak (no exaggeration) with his pants down and all, with his backside to us as we watched, less than 3 feet away from us. Weird and shocking, we started yelling at him to stop, that he can't do that, etc. Considered ratting on him to the management, but didn't.
