SEAFOOD: Boy do we love Captain Tony's! Right on the Marina ..We came here three times while we were in Cabo! In my opinion the best spot in the Marina with enough locals and tourists to balance it all out! Greeted by manager at door..They have mats on the floor to disinfect your shoes and you have to wear a mask ! They also take your temp ! Big Menu boards on an easel to make sure no Covid touching for both food and drinks ! Over the three days we had seafood pasta, crispy shrimp tacos and whole red snapper! All perfectly cooked and delicious . The have a pretty good range of items on their menu so this is why we kept coming back :) they ate open from breakfast to dinner too! Ohhh I had Margaritas which were Huge too! Their service really really shined . The busser constantly keeps the table clean and they keep checking on you .All three times food was great service was good and music was fine. Came here for lunch today and had one of the best tacos ever! Service was top notch, waiter spoke perfect English and recommended the Baja fish and Baja shrimp tacos which was amazing. Kids loved the pizza. Only complaint was there was so many bees! The waiter was very attentive and brought out a self made citronella light to scare away the bugs. Since the location is directly on the pier, like most restaurants there, the price was a bit more expensive than I thought.$100 USD for a meal for our family of 4 (no alcoholic drinks). read more

We came here one morning for lunch and I'm glad we did! Prices were a little high - drinks & food for two came out to $80. However- the food was great and the service was exceptional. Friends stopped in previously for breakfast and were all praise for the food and service! For the last year they always quote one of the waiter's with his catch phrase, "why not", and how much better the world would be if everyone had such an attitude! So on our annual Cabo voyage - we stopped in to Captain Tony's today! And we were over the moon to have the same waiter !! He was so friendly and attentive, as was the team working with him. I could have eaten a mountain of their French toast - it had a crisp outer layer with delicious butter interior. Everyone's food was delicious. We took two Ubers and never found it. Today I looked on Facebook and found out they're closed from August 29-October 8, 2022

We had such a fun time at this restaurant! Table side guacamole, shrimp cocktails and an ahi tuna and crab sushi along with mango and strawberry margaritas and beers. I really don't understand where n how all the 4 even 5 stars came from. All the years we came to Cabo, I just had a hunch it would not be a good idea but today I finally figured all the ratings might mean something. Perhaps it was the only place that would cook your fish you actually caught so that was worth 1 or 2 stars already. We ordered the combo 330p, the steak was ok, the chili relleno was inferno hot made for Mexicans it burnt my tongue, the enchilada was also so hot you would need a fire extinguisher. I complained the menu didn't say it would be that hot, I wanted to send it back. I was surprised they charged us minus 15%, I guess we were not in America where replacing an order was commonplace. We then ordered the fried fish, it was ok the batter was not crunchy but the remoulade sauce was so so good. Overall the beans n rice were nothing special, the margaritas were good n reasonably priced at $7. The service was great but I can't rate it any higher than 3 stars. read more

Very impressed. Guacamole was outstanding and made tableside. Skirt steak was the most tender I've ever eaten. Refried beans, tortillas oh, excellent. Even the chips were good. This place is in the center of the marina, but it is not a mediocre overpriced to tourist spot. If I lived here, I'd eat here regularly. read more

We snuck away from our all inclusive resort to spend some time in downtown Cabo and walk around the marina. And as soon as I saw Captain Tony's I was suddenly in need of a Michelada and some fish tacos. This bar is open air and offers views right out into the harbor. In a place like this you have to order seafood, and both the fish tacos and shrimp cocktail did not disappoint. And it was a really nice break from the monotony of the all inclusive buffet at the resort. The service was great, and most of the staff spoke both English and Spanish. And with all the cool NFL decor you might for just a moment forget you're in Mexico. If I were in Cabo during the NFL season this would definitely be the place I would visit during game time. I stopped in on the recommendation of a friend. Said the place was phenomenal and prices were great. I sat at the bar for about 3 minutes before asking a bartender for a menu. It was tossed in front of me. Asked if they had happy hour specials. Was told I could get a bucket of beers. Well, it was just me, and I did not need a bucket. So I started with a margarita. I watched him pour about 1/2 shot of tequila in the $7 drink. So I asked for a shot of Petron to add. Throw on another $9 and you have the worst $16 drink in Mexico. The sweet and sour was overwhelming. I asked for a recommendation for dinner. I was thinking the Caesar salad made tableside. Bartender referred me to their tuna/crab sushi-ish wraps. There were AMAZING!!!! A great dish. And at just over $15, well worth it. So, crummy drink and a great dinner. Both cost the same. I decided to wrap it up w a Pacifico ($3) and head back to the room. Appreciated the recommendation for dinner, but overall service was so-so. Prices were ok for food. No need to drink here unless you need a bucket of beers. The staff are very attentive. My dad and I wanted food the day after Hurricane Olaf and I knew I wanted to try Captain Tony's our choices were excellent! I was initially disappointed that they didn't have the whole fried fish available, but that curricane was so fresh I was glad to have a substitute. Dad loved the chilireeno. I enjoyed Captain Tony's during my visit. We came across this place during out walk on the pier. We were hungry, and this place stood out because it looked inviting. We sat facing the pier so we could people watch. Lots of interesting characters to wait while waiting for your food - tourists badly dressed, locals selling jewelry while walking up and down the pier, drunk tourists, locals on their way to fish, and more tourists. My gf and I each ordered a Bloody Mary while waiting for out food. It was perfectly made. I ordered shrimp tacos and my gf ordered fish tacos. Both were delicious. You have the option of ordering it breaded or grilled, and we chose grilled because, you know, carbs. There was a mariachi band that stopped by and asked if we wanted a song, and we politely declined. One thing I didn't care for were vendors who walked up trying to sell you jewelry/knick-knacks/paddywacks. For those who complain about why they would do such a thing, understand that they sell their goods this way because people buy from them. We just politely said, "Gracias, pero no interesado," and they went on their way. It wasn't intrusive, but it was something that didn't add to my experience. read more
