Came here after a snorkeling cruise for a quick bite and couple of drinks. We ordered a loaded chicken nachos to share, a bogo mojitos special for ~$15 USD, and a beer. We loved the lively ambiance with tv's to watch college football and right near the marina. Service was pretty decent as well with someone checking on us pretty regularly. The nachos were a decent size to share, however could have probably used more chicken especially for the up charge with any added protein. Overall, a pretty solid choice for a bite, although nothing to write home about as far as flavor goes. Not the best drink and food deals either. Chicken quesadilla: these cheese wasn't melted all the way. The "Mexican glass bottle of coke": this was $6.00 dollars!!! As a resourceful Mexican, I had Mexican currency on me so when I asked for "pesos" prices, they told me they prefer US dollars. Insane! Anyways, this soda tasted like it was sitting in the sun for a line time so it had bubbled but tastes old. The staff were certainly attentive which is a major plus for customer service. The food integrity was amazing and delicious. The Cadillac Burger patty was bigger than my husband's head and he ate every bit. If the food didn't look so good I would have took pictures, so I apologize for not having any. Jose was our server and we were very disappointed in his lack of service. He spent most of the time outside trying to bring new customers in, while ignoring our table. They had forgotten one of our sides dishes, we ordered a side of mashed potatoes and after the reminder he brought the smallest bowl I have ever seen. the dish was about 1 inch in diameter, not enough for a small child. We were walking along the marina and one of the employees called us in for $19.95 Filet Mignon and lobster. I thought it was going to be a ploy to get us in and then change it, but NOPE. It really was $19.95 and on the first night it was DELICIOUS! Why the low rating? It was the second night that did it. We went and the lobster was tough and the melted butter was not melted. Both times the meet was great. Granted, the price was $19.95 but it took away from that first experience where the food was just so delicious. Beware, water costs $2 USD. This is quite a lot considering we pretty much have no choice but to buy water if we want some. Granted, the mixed drinks and bucket of beer is not too expensive. Overall, the people were nice. I will try other places next time but I really did give this place 2 tries. I guess my advice is go earlier in the day so that the lobster is fresh. They'll cook your freshly caught fish! We found this place right after getting off the fishing boat. Eco is located right next door to the fish drop off spot, where is gets broke down, vacuum sealed and frozen for easy travel. We took one of the filleted fish to Eco Bar and had them make ceviche, blacked fish filets and seared spicy fish for fish tacos. They charge seven dollars per person and ten dollars for a bucket of beer, which I thoght was a tad on the pricy side for a beer bucket. This is an outdoor spot, so we nestled in, did a shot of tequila and enjoyed the harbor view. The ceviche came out first, and it was great! Super light, with tons of fresh herbs and the perfect mix of acid to fish. The blacked fish and spicy fish tacos came out together on two massive plates; the blackened fish was the real winner of the two with a great charred taste and slightly crunchy texture. The spicy fish lacked flavor and heat, but with the tableside sauces and wrapped in a warm tortilla made up for it. I thought this place was decent for sipping a few beers, relaxing and having someone else cook your catch of the day. After the Eco bar door man told us beer was US$15/bucket (5 beers) we decided to have a bucket. We received our bill and the total was $23.80. When we questioned the door man, who was also our waiter, he said the extra was IVA tax which we knew was a lie. We paid our bill in full and told him we would never return. Beware tourists and cruisers as we are guessing this wasn't the first time or last that the Eco Bar & Grill has scammed their customers.
