If I could give zero stars I would. I had my makeup done for graduation and I was so incredibly disappointed and upset. So much so that I very seriously considered taking all of it off and just doing it myself and would have, if I had time. The makeup used is all very low end drugstore makeup. So I paid almost $100 for my makeup to be done by Maybelline, LA Girl, Makeup Revolution. Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with those brands but not used by a makeup artist at almost $100. I was never once asked what kind of skin I have, primer wasn't even used. What kind of MUA doesn't use primer? As you can see from the pictures my skin looked absolutely awful. I did my entire skin care routine as I was told to make sure my skin was prepped and it was wiped away right away my eye makeup was done. I have large pores on my nose and cheeks, some texture, and dark circles. The dark circles literally had ZERO makeup on them. So everything else had makeup but you could see my dark circles very clearly and it looked very bad -- almost as if I were sick and had sunken in eyes. My pores were not primed or smoothed so they were very visible. And due to the low end products used, my skin became very oily, very quickly. Also, the makeup was not done within a business but in an apartment with lots of dogs, horrible lighting (which is essential for makeup application), and piss pads everywhere. I also felt rushed because she had a client right after me. When I told her I wasn't happy with my skin I was told she "wouldn't feel right filling in my pores" Did not know doing a good thorough job was an ethical dilemma. I wish I would have done my own makeup because it would have been 100x better than this. I'm not from San Diego but my graduation was there so I couldn't ask around about good MUAs. I relied solely on Yelp. I really wish I had gone with someone else. My face looked awful that day and now my pictures look bad as well. This is what I'll see and remember when I look back on a day I worked so incredibly hard for. PS. She will make comments about your race to you. Which is highly unprofessional.
