When I arrived there was a reserved spot for me to park. AJ met us at the door. After we went and looked at the car, we went to her office to do paperwork. There were some negotiations that still needed to happen - trade in, rebates etc. This went smooth. Finance department was quick. Not much push on up sales. Bottomline, experience was good. First time car buyer here, I shopped around at honda and hyundai before but didnt fall in love with the civic or elantra. Came here and test drove the Mazda3 and knew this was my car. I think they actually go through the reviews on yelp to improve on things. I wasnt bombarded by calls or emails or anything and test drive was a lot longer than other dealerships so you could really get a feel of the car. Jesus was really knowledgeable about the car, inside and out. The finace manager here, Pauline, really worked around my budget and offered me a 0 percent apr for a first time buyer. She took the time to explain every single term on the contact instead of just saying "sign here, initial here." This dealership is fairly new and their prices were way more competitive than HB mazda, cerritos, or southbay. Once the deal was done, everything was ready to go within the hour. I felt no pressure during the entire process. This dealership was really far from my house but the drive was definitely worth it. They even offered to drive my old car to my house and offered a drink from starbucks. If you're in the market for a new mazda check this place out. He knows everything about these machines and makes you proud to be a Mazda owner. The managers were all nice and best of all they buy you In N Out! I was on cloud 9 getting my 1st car. I left the dealership happy to be driving a new car only to be pulled over by police and treated as a criminal because the dealership failed to install the rear plate on my new vehicle! Being sat on the ground and questioned as a criminal turned my excitement into fear and anger. Looking back to my experience, the finance manager dropped added charges at time of signing, bringing my monthly payment up from the original negotiated payment. Nobody went over the vehicle with me to explain how to use certain items, I was given one key and told they'd mail me the other (smh). My friend got a Honda and he was got the red carpet, with alot of car and great price. This experience makes me regret coming to this dealership and getting a Mazda, period. This experience happened about a year ago. I didn't write a review back then because I had a lot of things going on. But the more I think about it and more mechanics I talk to the angrier it makes me. I had been going to Cardinaleway Mazda for years to get service on my Mazda. I had the same service rep each time and he was great. He never tried to push any unneeded service and let me know which service recommendations needed to be done right away and which ones could wait a while but needed to be done eventually. Toward the end of 2020 he must have quit and Cardinale must have got greedy, I noticed that they really didn't care too much about Customer service anymore. One day I took my car in for a regular oil change. It drove perfectly, not one issue or even a tiny noise when I brought it in. At the end of my oil change they said I needed a bunch of service done right away. I said I'd have to wait about a month to have it done and save the money. As I left my car sounded like it was about to fall apart. Brakes grinding and some other engine noise I had never heard before. I had to choice but to take it in a couple days later and have the work done. That was the last time I set foot in that dealership and have been taking my car for service at other places and bring up this experience with CardinaleWay every time so that they don't even think about pulling something like this. I hope it was worth it Cardinale, you lost a customer and I've let all your peer dealerships and anyone I know with a Mazda about the shady thing you did to me. I will start by saying me and my wife leased a cx5 three years ago and it was great experience. Our lease is over and the car is great so we called to hear the buyout options and they told us we needed to come down. I didn't want to go to the dealership knowing their one goal was to get us to lease or buy a new vehicle instead of buyout our lease. Hesitantly we scheduled an appointment and went down. As soon as we were entering we got the sell mentality and schtick and instead of a finance person we got Taylor the salesman. As soon as we made it clear we just wanted to out our lease he literally said to us while walking to the office "let's get this going so I can get out and sell some cars today" which we responded with let us talk to the finance people and you can go sell cars. He assured us he could help us but didn't have any info we needed. As soon as he knew there was no way he was going to get us a new car or lease he was the epitome of rude. He answered every question with "why". Our online account said the buyout was a certain amount and he had an amount about 8k higher he said our amount was correct. Then we wanted to know why it was different and he made it feel that we were odd for asking. Like we were out of our minds for wanting to know how much we needed to pay. He kept telling us that he felt that we were not happy that he couldn't help us. I told him I know you sell cars, that's great, we need the guy who does the financing part and knows how to talk to adults. My wife got up and walked away and the finance guy came out and talked to her. She told him how horrible our experience was and that all we needed was an amount and he was cool and said he would text my wife the amount. When I had called I made it incredibly clear we just wanted to buyout the lease but Taylor insisted we needed to come down. I can't believe they have employees who act like this and while my wife was talking to the finance person Taylor was hanging around and the finance guy literally shooed him away. I don't think that is the first time someone had to apologize for Taylor's lack of professionalism. We may buy a Mazda in the future but won't be from them. Buying a car is an incredibly stressful situation and word of mouth references go far so to have people go through that type of experience blows my mind. If I owned a business that conducted themselves this way or had this type of employee mentality I would do some serious internal house cleaning and retraining. read more

We bought a new 2020 Mazda 3 for my daughter in November. They found the car we were looking for in the color combination we wanted. The car came in quickly and we had the paperwork signed in record time. They surprised my daughter with a red bow on it when we picked it up. A great touch. They later contacted me and told me my trade-in value went up by $200.00 and they would be sending me a check. I thought to myself - This was a great car buying experience and I would recommend Cardinale to anyone looking for a car. Now the bad part. While still at the dealership, the night I signed the contract, I decided to drop the extended warranty. I was told they can drop the coverage and re-write the contract or they could shorten the terms of the contract to reflect the reduction in price. Since it was past closing time, they were going to reprint the contact and have me come back to re-sign. I've contacted them by phone and by text asking about the contract. To be fair, I did get one call back. I even dropped off a handwritten letter a month ago, when I took the car in for the first service. Still nothing. No word about my contract, which I believe I am still paying for the extended warranty and no $200.00 check. I gave them a great rating right after the purchase of the car, just like they asked, not knowing that was the last time I would hear from them... I don't think Customer Service means it is the customer's responsibility to follow up to get the things promised. To anyone reading this review, just make sure you have everything you want/need or are promised BEFORE you leave the dealership. If I could give zero stars I would. My husband and I purchased a 2024 Mazda CX- 50 April 2024. While driving the car home the service engine light came on. My husband called the dealership and was told the sensor just needed to be reset. Angel from the dealership came to help but was unable to fix the problem. The car was taken back to the dealership on May 1st to be repaired. On the way home from the dealership the service engine light came on again. Called dealership and returned the car the next day. We we told Monday May 6th the car was repaired and just needed to be checked out by a Mazda representative before being released. We called on Tuesday May 7th and unfortunately the car has not been able to be repaired after several attemps. We are now waiting for the genaeral manager to tell us the next step. We paid cash for a new car that we have now been with out for 11 days. The car had 9 miles on it when we purchased it. First Mazda and never will we own one again. Needless to say we are beyond frustrated. read more

I just bought a new 2016 Mazda 6 from AJ and Juan. Frist off, let me just say I absolutely love my car! But, ok, back to the review. I walk in and no one greeted or offered to help me. Then AJ (while working in the back) caught eyes with me and immediately apologized for no one greeting me and started asking what I was looking for. We found a car that I liked. She was very knowledgeable and explained the details of the car. I was very specific about not running my credit a bunch of times. I read others reviews and honestly you just have to be very clear and don't sign anything if you don't want your credit run. I came in with my own financing and the manager promised me she could get me a better deal if I let her run my credit with one particular company. So I agreed. And guess what folks? She was right she got me a great deal and I'm so thankful! Contrary to other reviews, the staff here was professional, friendly, and had a genuine interest in making sure I was completely satisfied. My meetings were later in the morning on the other side of LA. With the traffic, I had to call in instead. John made sure I was setup and comfortable. I had to leave because I like to respect my word, the manager texted me and offered a free delivery on the car which I respected then I spoke to a different manager, telling me something even more different, that they are backing out from what they said. The worst Service I have ever experienced My left rear brake light socket became warped from the heat from the bulb The light has never been changed before. And it's my fault It's a 3.5 year old car Instead of just replacing the socket they changed the whole light assembly And charged me 284.00 I was told they have this issue all the time and I should call Hyundai customer support. Which I did I was informed to take it back to dealership and I would get my 284.00 back When I went back the Service Manager,Carlos told me wasn't going to do anything about it. When I asked him to call Hyundai. I was so torn in selecting my star rating for CardinaleWay Mazda.... AJ was the sales person I worked with through the test drive, all my questions, etc. She was incredible. Not your traditional pushy sales person. I walked in sure that I wanted to test drive the CX-5 but not sure which trim I wanted. Rather than go straight to the highest cost trim, she showed me one of the cheaper trims based on the features I told her I was looking for. After doing more research, I came back a second time pretty confident I actually wanted the most expensive trim with the fully loaded package added so I could get both the fun features and the safety features, with a few other bells and whistles. So she took me for another test drive but in the model that matched what I was looking for. I fell in love with the car. Exactly the experience I hope for when figuring out what car I wanted. This is where my experience turned sour. We went inside, I got a quote on my trade-in, etc. Then some other staff member came in to discuss the numbers. This individual (who I wish I remembered his name) had an attitude that rubbed me the wrong way. I wanted them to match the price I got from another dealer. This guy was telling me how they couldn't match the quote because they like to sell cars differently and they hold themselves at a different standard, etc (the usual sales pitch they all try to make) ... So I said I think we'll have to come back another time then. But then he proceeded to talk for another 20 minutes about himself and and all the luxury cars he owns or owned and then talks about how Mazdas are great and I'd be just as happy with the cheaper trim ... Did he just suggest I buy a cheaper car? Honestly I felt insulted. I let him go on and on about himself and his fancy cars assuming there was a point. But it seems like the point was that he thought I couldn't afford the car I wanted so I should just pick a cheaper one. My fiancé was fuming when we got home because he couldn't believe how I was being spoken to. 5 stars for AJ - 0 stars for whoever that closer was I'm disappointed because AJ was so great and I see so many Yelpers with great experiences at this location. So I wonder: Do I just have higher expectations in how much I feel they should take off the sticker price than other people? Or did I just get the bad apple closer in the group? read more

Went back August 2020, new staff and I am very disappointed. Tried to slam me with extra maintenance items not recommended by Mazda but recommended by Service Manager. At 30,000 he suggested items Mazda doesn't even mention in the first 100,000 miles! Tried to charge $361 for a service that shouldn't be over $80! Did not inspect brakes because I did not go for the tire rotation. I found another dealership that completed the safety inspection including brakes at no extra charge. Stay away rip off! read more
