My negative review is based on the process and transaction of selling my 2 vehicles to this dealership. What we thought was a smooth transaction turned out to be a huge frustration. 5 months later we are getting DMV notices regarding both vehicles that we no longer own. It seems that their Business services handling DMV failed to file the paperwork we completed/signed 5 months ago such as NRL and transfer on both vehicles. It is quite upsetting and for this reason prevents me from recommending this dealership. read more

Made an online inquiry and Lena replied. (The salesperson at John Hine that we loved was no longer there). We were looking to trade in our leased 2018 Mazda 6 early if it made financial sense because we were way over on mileage. She stayed in contact without being pushy. She happened to contact us again the day before we were headed out of town. She worked with us to get what we wanted and before we left the next morning. Steven in finance got us a deal that we're so happy with. He was quick and no car sale nonsense. Lena even left us a gift bag in the back seat. Wonderful personal touch that's so appreciated! She was sweet, honest and knowledgeable. The only negative from this experience was the first finance mgr who called in the middle of making the deal. She was blah and had no personality. After leasing countless cars, including 4 Mazdas, she (can't remember her name if she even told me) tried to tell us we needed to make our first payment, that day, in addition to and separate from drive off. Not once ever have I heard of that. Seems like her way of squeezing extra money. I told her exactly that. She then tells me in a condescending tone that this is the best deal I'm going to get. Uh nope. A couple hours later, Steven had a deal that worked. Thank God Lena didn't let the deal die with her because I was ready to go somewhere else after that conversation. This is my 5th Mazda, 4th Mazda 6. We've gotten so many compliments by people surprised that it's a Mazda! Lena was a absolutely the best and Steven got us a great deal. So happy! read more

I was in need of a car because my 2006 BMW was running down with its 240k miles. I needed a car that would live up to everything I was use to . I knew I wanted a SUV to invest in because I didn't want to have to change cars when it came time to start my family within the next couple of years. So my focus was safety and sexy. I only really saw Audi, Mercedes and Lexus SUV that lived up to the sexy side. Until my husband mention Mazda and when I saw the picture of a CX-5 , I was so excited because they price was right and it had sexy and safety. We came to this dealership and test drove the CX5 sport with AJ, who was kind, knowledgeable and not too pushy. I was in love with everything about it. But as everyone knows you don't just buy the first wedding dress you try on when you have others in mind , so I went to go test drive the Mercedes GLA. The car was just as beautiful, and just as spacious and just as safe and smooth driving to me as the CX-5. The only difference was Mercedes wanted me to pay more for their "name" and all the specialty extra gadgets that came with the car. I didn't need nor want those extra gadgets and I honestly didn't need that name. After driving the Mercedes I was only able to think of the Mazda CX-5 and knew that that was the car I wanted and needed. My husband and I went in the following day just to get the prices so we can price around and Everette welcomed us in. He set us up with the numbers guy named Ken. Both Everette and Ken were pleasant, efficient and patient. They both helped us figure out the best price within our budget and still managed to give me everything I wanted and then some so we were hooked. I would absolutely suggest my family and friends to come here when they need a car. The signing of papers is not the most fun part but Steven managed to make it smooth and helped us understand anything that we were not clear on. We signed up for the maintenance and warranty packages and I know great service will continue for the next several years to come. We finished the deal and I'm now, a happy owner of a CX-5 white Touring Preferred SUV and I couldn't be more in love. So in love that I created a video. This place is a JOKE. I purchased a vehicle making it as easy as possible for them and was like pulling teeth. Purchased on valentines for wife and still trying to get the due bill completed.. Tried calling again today and some female whispering like she just woke up and it was a bother claiming she was in the service department. I asked a simple screw in tire question and she says let me get too to my service advisor and transfers me to voice mail.... I called and asked for general mgr and again straight to VM!!! DO NOT LET THEM FORCE NITRO IN THE TIRES! IF THEY TELL YOU ITS ALREADY IN TELL THEM TO TAKE IT OUT. Normal repair $12-$20. average $15.00. Beware dealerships that offer "free" perks as enticements to purchase; you usually get exactly what you pay for - NOTHING! Case in point - I bought a new 2018 Maxda 3 here, even though it's quite a ways from where I live in OC because the price was right. One of the "free" perks the dealership made a point of telling me about when I picked up my new car was a completely free first new car service appointment - they even threw in the oil change! When the time came for me to have the work done, I made an appointment and they got the work done (so they said) in just under two hours. The receipt they gave me said the 5,000 mile service included the usual adjustments, as well as a tire rotation and an oil change. Several months later, one of those completely unintelligible Mazda idiot lights lit up on my dashboard; it looked like a tiny monkey wrench. I Googled it, and then called the service department. The service advisor confirmed that my car thought it was time to have another service appointment, even though it had been less than two thousand miles since the last one! Long story short - The service advisor suggested that I bring the car back in to have the light reset. I asked why they hadn't done it the first time around, and he couldn't tell me. I also asked why they hadn't rotated the tires (like it said they had on the receipt). He said their records indicated the tires had been rotated - I knew they hadn't been, because I checked them after reading about what that idiot light meant. Before I brought my car in for that service appointment, there was a very noticeable ding on my right front tire rim where it had hit a curb. When I went back to check it after I started to suspect that corners had been cut during my "service" appointment, I saw that very same ding on that very same tire rim. If they had actually rotated the tires like the claimed, the rim with the ding would have moved... Bottom line: They lied about rotating my tires (it never happened) and they didn't reset the "needs service" idiot light, which is triggered by the number of miles driven. What else didn't they do when they allegedly serviced my car for "free"? If you can't trust a service center to do the work they claim to have done, you have no business taking your care there. I've learned my lesson, and will never return to this dealership! read more

If I could take stars away from their rating I would. They only get one because I have to. Well our car purchasing experience was great. We knew exactly what we wanted, got a fair deal on the trade in to an upgraded model, however as we were completing the paperwork there was an error on the DMV title and registration forms. The gentleman from finance assured us he would correct it. This is exactly where their attentiveness and customer service ended...once they got our money. The purchase occurred at the beginning of August and in the following days I had concerns regarding the DMV registration and called to verify that it had been corrected. Of course the guy from finance's number went to a voice mail that was full (and still is months later) and after calling and getting full voice mail notifications from their general finance department several times a "finance manger" finally answered one day. After being dismissive and trying to blow me off that there could not possibly be an error I asked if there was somewhere I could check to verify it was correctly filed. He then conceded that he would do it and call me back. Nothing...no phone call back. A couple of weeks later after continuing to wait I spent another several hours calling and getting full voice mails before finally talking to the original finance guy who must have accidently answered the general finance line and assured me that the DMV paper work was taken care and filed correctly, but in subsequent calls and emails to him to verify he has been absolutely silent without a single response to myself or my wife. Finally on Monday 11/18, just a couple of weeks before her temp expires, I finally get someone on the phone after trying for two days and getting full voice mails. It's another "finance manager" who gives me the same blow off and I point out that the address is incorrect on several pieces of paperwork which causes him to finally look at our file and respond with a promise to contact his DMV guys and then call me back right away. He gave me a long, bloated excuse and explanation dripping with empty promises. Nothing. Yesterday 11/21 I leave a voice mail with the general manager and still no response. I don't know how difficult it is for these people to get their act together and to either verify the information was filed correctly or to say no it wasn't and we are correcting our mistake. I have spent way too many hours on something that should have been cleared up with a simple phone call. It's not even about the mistake...mistakes happen, but it's really a bigger issue with how this dealership and their management approach customer service and self-accountability. It's quite a pathetic effort. If you are looking to buy a Mazda I would HIGHLY recommend looking elsewhere. As someone who has owned five different Mazdas with great dealership relationships over the years this place is a significant dent to the brand. These people only care about your money and their customer service ends the moment you sign that purchase agreement. We went and test drove a 2013 VW Tiguian. Our experience was not pleasant. We were all set to purchase the vehicle with Gonzalo sales representative for $9000 out the door.  As soon as we told him that we were not financing but were paying cash, his demeanor changed and he got up and got his manager. His manager came over and suddenly they could no longer do $9000 out the door but offered $9500 before taxes and fees. COMPLETELY different from what was offered to us. Just like the other reviews, my friend was told one price on the phone but when we got there, somehow the price had gone up $2000 from add ons to the car that my friend was not told about. The manager we spoke to explained that one of the extra costs added onto the car (without approval) was a "paint protector" and it would cost an extra $750. He explained that since the coat protector was already on the car, they couldn't take it off and my friend would be charged for it. It was a complete joke. The customer experience I had here can best be described as ROUGH (in bold and all caps). Long story short, I emailed this dealership on a specific used Mazda 6. An internet sales guy said it was available and set up an appointment to check out the car in person. Long story short, I drive over here and I was greeted by four different employees (on a Sunday afternoon) yet they "can't find the key" to the car I am supposed to test drive. This was red flag #1. Part of me started thinking "great the car was already sold and they lied just to get me in." The second red flag was when they finally did recover the key more than ten minutes later, an employee told me it was the "Promotional vehicle" that was also used as the GM's personal car. It definitely was a personal vehicle because it was dirty on the inside and the GM left a very personal item on the front seat! Ummmm shouldn't a promotional vehicle be cleaned out regularly? Not a good look Cardinale. The third and final red flag was the car that took forever to find the key for wasn't even the right trim!! I asked to see a "Grand Touring Reserve" but the car I was initially showed was a "Grand Touring." I was sitting inside the car when I noticed eveything on the inside looked amiss. The craziest part about this was, I was the one that noticed the trim was different (wrong), not the sales guy that was showing me the car!! We bought a 2021 CX-3 a couple months ago from this dealership then had an issue do to squeaky brakes noise! We lived in Long Beach so we didn't bother to bring the car back to where we have purchased the vehicle from because it was a NEW CAR and i believe we can take it anywhere for service! So a couple of days we have the same issue so we made an appointment for today at 1pm and have to say that the services was super poor first we have the worst service advisor experience she said it would be a $60 for an inspection service and I sad what do you mean Miss (L) this car is brand new from this dealership then I have asked for the service manager then she said he/she wouldn't have time for us at any given time....... wow. So she finally have a technician inspect the vehicle for almost about 2HR and said everything was good BUT guess what! She took our car in without opening any RO# or Invoice for us at the time of the inspection. What happens if the technician took the car out for a test drive and crash we wouldn't have any proof. We made the appointment for a Saturday and drove to the dealership only to find out they didn't order the parts and can't get them on Saturday. It would be so bad if we didn't live an hour away. Honestly this place is great! Now only did we get a great deal for our Mazda but Jayson kept his word with everything he guaranteed. My wife and I bought a used Mazda-6 with only 25,100 miles at a great monthly price. Trust me, I work in sales and Jayson Corteeze set us up amazingly! I'm giving this place five stars because of Hugo. Three years ago I was supposed to have a repair done on my car and was waiting for parts to come in to have it worked on. I never got a call and never follow through. Something happened that made me call to say, " hey,does anybody know what happened to that service repair part"? Hugo listen to me but told me he did not see anything written down. We got off the phone and I figured that was that. DONT add on the extra warranty when you purchase a car with them. They have a contract with whoever they have for their warranty AND will not release you if you cannot go back to their dealership. So even if you moved 50 miles away they won't let you get it fixed with YOUR warranty that you paid for at a closer dealership. read more

Really bad attitude and pushy towards my mother in law in trying to buy a car she didnt want. This is a great dealership to shop for a car if you want to test drive a car for a half a block and then receive 488 phone calls over the next month. Make no mistake about it my friends, the aggressive and persistent new car salesman is NOT dead and buried regardless of the new car information consumers have at their disposal these days. Just "sniff in" here and you'll see exactly what I mean. We did a ONE MINUTE test drive and it was over due to "someone dropping the ball". This was already strike one. The car itself seemed pretty nice inside and out and from what we could tell in ONE MINUTE, it drove pretty well. But then the PHONE CALLS started and wouldn't stop. Literally, EVERY DAY right out of the gate. Then, about 5 days in a female calls and then a male calls ONE MINUTE (how's that for irony?) later. Seriously dog? I worked in sales many years ago and any company worth a carp has a decent database for documenting call outs to prospects so you don't over call and piss someone off and make sure you're following up regularly until you CROSS THEM OFF THE LIST due to no interest. Even if you're cold calling someone you don't beat them over the head the way this place does. The odd part with this dealership is that they EXPECT you to call back if you're not interested. In this day-and-age when everyone and their dog thinks they're 12 times busier than they actually are do you really think that courtesy call is going to happen? "Nice try, thanks for playing". Where did you receive your sales training peeps? Get a clue about the real world situation out there right now. The world is full of impatient pukes with no attention span (thank the Tech Age) and courtesy calls have become as extinct as a do-do bird or Tyrannosaurus Rex. Even though I wasn't the one shopping for a car I almost called them back as a courtesy when the calls first began, but I was amazed how many calls we'd already received so I opted to use this more as a social experiment instead. I should have kept a tally sheet on a chalkboard but I can assure you that we've received calls DAILY and oftentimes TWICE PER DAY for over 2 weeks and they still haven't stopped now that we're about a month in. Unless you're going in to drive home a car that day, do yourself and your voicemail a service and RUN FOR THE HILLS before you consider coming here to test drive a car you're only "considering". They will make you pay, one way or another. read more

The absolute worst car buying experience!! I bought an Escape that had an oil leak the same night I got the car home. The dealership created the biggest mess just to get it fixed, the GM was arrogant as hell and adamant that he didn't have to do anything to fix it even though I was within my 2 day return and cancelation policy. A different Ford dealership finally fixed it for me after Cardinale way agreed to pay for the work. But then Cardinale way wouldn't even provide a car for me to drive for the week my car was being repaired. Then it took about 2 days for them to pay. I then discovered that one of my windshield wipers wasn't working, and I had to pay $118 to get it fixed. This dealership doesn't even fully inspect their vehicles before they sell them!! And the management staff and GM are incredibly rude and not helpful. I would never recommend buying a car here!! read more
