I had an unfortunate mishap with a professional hot glue gun and my hand and I needed urgent care. Thankfully CareNow is close to me, along with about a dozen other Urgent Care clinics. My husband has been a patient twice before and had great things to say about them so I decided to give them a try. The best thing ever is that CareNow has an online waiting room that makes it super easy. I was apprehensive about going to sit in a crowded waiting room with sick people (it is flu season after all) but with their web-based waiting room, you don't have to go sit for hours and can stay at home or work or wherever. I filled out a quick form online (used my iPhone, actually) with my insurance information and problem and I got a call back in about 15 minutes telling me to come on in, they had a room ready for me! I was shocked at how efficient the entire process was. I arrived at the clinic and they took me straight back -- I didn't even have time to finish all of my paperwork before a nurse was tending to my burn! The doc even wrapped my hand with a PINK bandage and I got a lollipop on my way out. No, really. It made my experience much more positive and helped take the ouchies away. I was happy with the level of care I received for a second degree burn that literally ripped the flesh from my hand. I paid $60 (with insurance) so it wasn't exactly cheap, but I needed to get my wound cleaned and bandaged by a professional. I had a quick prescription written for some topical antibiotic cream and I was on my way in less than 30 minutes. Maybe I hit this place at just the right time, but it was totally hassle-free and a very positive experience. Hopefully I won't need to go back anytime soon, but CareNow will be my go-to choice for Urgent Care. read more

Front desk chick said there is only 1 physician in today that is why. 3 people walked out when they heard the wait time was over an hour an a half. I initially went to the Durango/Arby location and was informed the wait was 2 hours. The receptionist offered to pre register me and I could head over to this Rainbow location for a shorter wait. I agreed and very much appreciated her effort in saving me time. When I arrived at this location I was asked what I needed to see a doctor about. I told the receptionist I had an abcess tooth, had been on antibiotics for 48 hours and it was quickly getting worse, and needed stronger antibiotics. She told me they're "not a dentist". Obviously I knew this and was not expecting to get a root canal at their office. I explained I had already reached out to my dentist and couldn't get ahold of him, but I also couldn't continue waiting. She talked to another nurse for a minute then asked the doctor if there was anything they could do. She asked which antibiotic I was currently on, I told her amoxicilin which she relayed to the doctor. I was informed the same antibiotic and ibuprofen would be all they could prescribe. She must have thought I forgot because she yet again told me it was "not a dentist". She repeated it multiple times while I was there actually. I left in tears. I felt humiliated and helpless. Being turned away when in the worst pain of my life (I've had 3 c-sections, 2 kidney stones, and multiple herniated discs so I know pain) was awful. I'd been to Care Now multiple times and was never treated this poorly. They'll never get another penny from me and I've already informed family, friends, and social media followers of the lack of care I experienced. Luckily I was able to get Clindamycin within an hour of leaving and started feeling some relief, no thanks to the Care Now staff. read more

I was literally waiting in line for over 25 minutes just to find out that the technician for the drug screening wasn't available. Honestly the Black Woman upfront in the lobby should have been more attentive at her job, but instead she up and left her desk for a good 15 minutes, and when she came back, she was texting on her phone. We just recently started to come here since my fiancée has had some unexpected health problems and I was pleasantly surprised of how quick they took care of him. I do see many bad reviews and i understand it can be busy but the staff does the best they can and are very friendly. The best thing tod do is to check in online before going and the wait time will be much less. Definitely not where you want to be on a holiday weekend, but sometimes we don't get to choose our battles. As I'm waiting for my discharge papers I thought I would write my review. The Wait. This IS a urgent care, so I expect for it to take a while. Even when you walk in, it looks dead, but I overhead them speaking it's Labor Day weekend and their short staffed. Definitely understandable because most people want to be off on the holiday weekend. The visit. I met Dr. Pham,FNP and she was very patient with me, talked about options, and next steps so I definitely appreciated that. I didn't feel like she was rushing to get out of there and on to the next patient which is how you feel when you go to doctor visits. Even now as I'm writing the review she popped in to let me know that they're working on my papers it would just be a little longer. This facility is new, so it looks super clean. I hate going to doctors offices where it looks like you would catch something by just going for the visit. As much pain as I'm feeling, I felt they did the best for me ... I got a consultation, my prescriptions, and a referral for x-rays. Now looking at previous reviews, I did question about the copay and they said since my insurance does not list the copay on the card I will just have to wait for my bill. So hopefully nothing surprises me when I get that bill. I might need to update this AFTER I get my bill, but so far so good and no complaints about my visit today. Usually I absolutely DREAD going to Urgent Care facilities, but after my experience with this CareNow location, I have to admit that I may be changing my mind and stop avoiding urgent care visits. I had heard about this location from a coworker who recently decided to stop by this office on her lunch break as she had been suffering from a sinus infection for a few days that just wouldn't let up. I myself had recently come back from a trip to Mexico and just happened to have a stroke of bad luck by encountering germ filled passengers on my travels that ultimately lead to cold symptoms creeping up on me. I had been battling a sore throat and nasty cough which you'd think would clear up with some over the counter meds and a few ZZZ's, but unfortunately that wasn't the case for me so I decided a doctors visit was in order. My coworker advised to use this facilities online check in option to reduce my wait time and honestly, I got a phone call within seconds from a pleasant receptionist who advised the doctor was available to see me right away. Never have I experienced such impeccable service! Once I arrived to this location, I took a few minutes to fill out some quick paperwork and then the doctor saw me right away. He was very thorough, addressed all my concerns, and prescribed the necessary meds I needed promptly so I could be on my way to a speedy recovery. 'Do they accept your insurance or do they not?' My overall experience here was good I came in here with a lot of pain . I came here because I was in dire for pain relief and they are located not too far from my home. Before accepting their care I asked if they take my insurance, the lady in the front said "yes" they do accept my insurance then I receive a bill in the mail stating my insurance doesn't cover my medical expenses and now my bill has had now gone to collections. So what the front desk lady said was false. If I had known that they didn't accept my insurance I would have gone to someone else that did. Preface: I have documented the entire interaction via video/audio for accuracy and transparency. If they try to deny this happened. I'll happily share the recordings. Upon visiting the CareNow Urgent Care facility on Blue Diamond with my wife, I stepped outside briefly after her admission. When I returned, I inquired with the receptionist about joining my wife in her room. The receptionist informed me that only patients are allowed beyond the reception area and did not offer further clarification or documentation regarding this policy. Seeking to understand, I requested to see the policy in writing. The receptionist mentioned that the manager, Sydney, would be available to explain the policy to me. After a short wait, I asked for the director's contact information, to which the receptionist suggested that the manager would be available to assist me more promptly. The manager approached me shortly thereafter, and I expressed my wish to be with my wife. She explained that patients must request the presence of their spouses themselves, a stipulation that had not been mentioned by the receptionist. This new piece of information seemed to contradict the initial impression that no visitors were allowed under any circumstances. I questioned whether my wife had been given the opportunity to make such a request, to which the manager deflected by saying she perceives a tone of hostility from me and that I need to calm down. I assured her that my demeanor was calm and respectful, as is my nature. I wish to express my concern over this characterization. At no point during our conversation did I raise my voice or behave aggressively. My approach was one of quiet persistence and politeness, qualities that are intrinsic to my character. Despite my repeated requests for the director's contact information, the manager felt it was unnecessary, assuring me that she could address the situation. I asked a follow up question. I asked if she was refusing to give me the director's phone number. She said she doesn't see a need for that. I asked once more and she said I don't provide information if it's a situation I can deal with. The manager then said my wife is about finished and she'll be coming out anyway. Sydney expressed her concern about me recording the conversation. I asked if recording was against the companies policy and she responded by articulating her disdain for being recorded. She didn't address my question about company policies for recording. I looked around the office for any signs or documents that would elaborate on recording policies. Non were visible . My wife came out during this conversation and I concluded the conversation with a respectful expression of intent to pursue other avenues for information and extended my well wishes for the day. I reiterated my request for the director's contact information, but the manager felt it was unnecessary, stating she could handle the situation. When I inquired about the recording policy, there was no response. I respectfully stated my intention to obtain the information through other means and wished them a pleasant day. It is disheartening to reflect on the suggestion of hostility in my behavior when such was not the case. The subsequent arrival of the police shortly after my departure seemed an unfortunate coincidence. To ensure clarity on whether a call was made to law enforcement, I am contemplating a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request. read more

Highly recommend this location if you are in need of true "quick care"!! I have been here twice in one week. On a Saturday I waited 30 mins and on a Wednesday 45mins. The waiting room is very open so you don't have to sit next to people if you don't want to. The 2 different receptionist I encountered were very friendly. They had mask available, lollipop, hand sanitizer and water. The tv was set to a kids movie which was great because I had kids with me for both visits. The waiting room was very clean however, I would say it was pretty warm in the waiting room compared to the back area. Once we were taken into the back. All vital signs were taken and the nurse was very friendly making sure to get all the information before the doctor came in to see us that's all I'll wait time was about 10 minutes. We were able to see the doctor, he was able to give directions about what needed to be done. Then we were given discharge papers and we are out the door. At check out I was given the option to pay my deductible or to wait to be billed which was kind of nice. Especially when you're feeling sick and you can't concentrate or make a decision. All in all everyone was very friendly the facility was very clean and I would recommend this location to anyone that was feeling under the weather. Adults or children. read more

Do not come here !!! I came to this location on June 3rd because I had an allergic reaction. They took me in after a short wait which was great. I get taken back I talk with the MA on how I am feeling etc, Sometime starts to pass then the DR comes. The DR then goes over how I am doing ask what I ate I tell her everything. Dr then proceed to give me a shot to calm the allergic reaction, after the shot I sat there for ONE MINUTE. That's when the DR and MA discharged me. They didn't wait 15 MINUTES as their supposed to do to see if the shot work or if I can breathe. THEY JUST LET ME GO. Therefore I had to be sent to the ER because the shot they gave me here didn't work. Terrible practice here!!! I wish I can give a negative 5 stars. read more

I am a very patient person. However, my experience here made me lose all my patience, & rightfully so. I did a web check in at 10:50am. I was told at 12:32pm it was going to be another Hr to 2hrs there was 3ppl ahead of me. They were incredibly short staffed, I was understanding of that. But to come back in at 3:23pm because I had received no call, just to tell me I have 3ppl ahead of me STILL. No, at this point someone messed up & I voiced my concerns and miraculously I was brought to a room at 4pm. Just to sit there for ANOTHER hour & 15mins when she initially stated it was a 15min test, come to find out they LOST my test results. I have been to several Urgent Cares in the city. & I have NEVER sat in one for 6hours! I will literally crawl to another urgent care before I step foot in this one. read more

I'm one of those people where I have to be close to dying to go see the doctor. I don't even have a PCP. I know, shame on me. These past 2 weeks has been hell for me because I've seen at least 2 specialists and they just can't figure out what is going on with me. I'm not going to go into detail about my ailment, but I will give feedback in regards to my care here at CareNow. First off, I checked in online and within 5 minutes I get a call verifying my online checkin and the lady I spoke to was genuinely friendly and helpful. I get in and didn't wait long to be seen. I was seen by PA Michael Swart who is the first person who showed me hope of a treatment for my condition. He thoroughly evaluated me, asked me questions and timelines so that he can assess the situation. He took his time researching and consulted other colleagues to see if they might be able to pinpoint the issue. Sadly he couldn't give me a final diagnosis due to more testing required that he couldn't provide for me at that facility. But he did put in a referral to a couple more specialists to make sure I get in ASAP. For the first time in a very long time, I felt healthcare as it should be. All the facilities that I've been to has been a "Pay it and forget it" type care. They get your money and once you're in the room with them, it feels like you're wasting their time and before you know it, you're walking out with a bunch of medications you probably don't even need! Completely unacceptable service. Waited for a drug test for 45 minutes, just for them to finally tell me the person who does the testing isn't here for another 30 minutes. Then when the tech proceeds to get here, they called up and waited on people after when I got here before I was brought up; even had to wait 20 minutes for the person in front of me to have to urinate, instead of just getting me instead. This is an old review from last October, did not realize it was in my drafts: I would give less than one of I could. Had a terrible experience here today. I feared that I was positive for Covid, (hubby tested positive a few days ago), I had a low fever so I went to get the rapid testing. Couldn't get through on the phone, no one answered so I decided to go up there. Go to walk in and there is a sign posted to call if you have symptoms and not come in. Not wanting to infect others, I followed the admonition. However, I couldn't get through on the phone. I asked several people to let them know I was outside. One kind gentleman even came out to tell me that they were informed. So I sat, and sat, and sat. Almost an hour went by. Mind you, I'm a patient person. I didn't have a problem waiting, I understand the situation. However, no one ever came out to at least confirm that they knew I was out there waiting. I knew I had a sinus infection and wanted to be seen by a doctor by Monday. I arrived at CareNow on Rainbow and Warm Springs with my magazine knowing I had to probably wait awhile and tissues in hand. The facility was very clean and and the front desk was very welcoming and customer service oriented. Although the wait was long, everyone had their masks to not cough or breath on each other and there was enough room to not have to sit next to each other. They also had a movie on to watch. The nurse and doctor were also professional and did spend the time needed to get your vitals, talk to you about your Illness. There was no sense of a rush to get you out. The staff were all truly happy, again high customer service oriented and it also helped that the tunes they were playing rocked the place. Good job CareNow! read more

I went in for a sinus infection. Was in and out quickly at around 8pm. The young lady at the front desk Dania was so helpful and sweet. I appreciate her knowledge and speed in helping me with everything. Then i went to the back where Princess helped me. She was also great. So nice and sweet. Man... be prepared to spend over 5 hours here. They make you wait outside in your car but I had no car so BRING A JACKET. Also. They call you to triage you basically if you're not dying they will put you LAST doesn't matter what time you came. Then second call they let you come in and make you wait AGAIN. Called over the phone asking how long is the walk in wait time, was told it'll be 2 hrs. I took the chances considering my symptoms. Walked in greeted by Ana front desk checkin in was smooth. I psyched myself that I'll be waiting for 2 hrs but in less than 10mins I got called. Both MA ana and jamil were great, they communicate very well. NP Maria was really nice and very helpful. The only time I waited for a quite sometime was for the covid rapid test result. Otherwise very pleasant visit. Can't complain. To top it off this is my first time coming to this UC.
