Had hoagies and club sandwiches from here, both of which were very good and that's where the four stars are coming from. However the so-called Boardwalk Fries were not what I expected at all. They were simply battered fries, which I never like no matter the restaurant. As everyone knows, Boardwalk Fries are natural fries (no coating!) fried in peanut oil. Remember the chain Boardwalk Fries in every mall food court? Those are Boardwalk Fries and they're delicious. How Carfagno's came up with the notion that these things are Boardwalk Fries is totally beyond me. I will go back for other menu items but at least I now know to stay away from these fries! read more

I had been told to go here for food from a friend. Hopefully in life there are many times you have a wonderful cheesesteak in Philly. This was not the case this afternoon. I think this has been the worst I have had in 30 yrs. I asked for a cheesesteak with extra cheese no onions due to being allergic to them. I asked if the door could be opened due to the smell of grilled onions and they said the back door was open. This was one of the worst steaks I have ever had The oil from the steak was dark orange almost brown. And it totally tasted like onions. The cheese was nicely distributed though which most places just lay it on top. The fries tasted like onions too. I will try any restaurant a once even twice, but most likely not a second time when I have to come home take a shower and brush my teeth and take a Benadryl to get rid of the onion smell etc. Nice kids working there, close to the firehouse and police station in lower providence. This was my first time ordering and my order arrived on time however they added lettuce to my chicken cheesesteak which I absolutely dislike. I checked my receipt to make sure I didn't make the mistake, but somehow they added it without my request. I could not enjoy my sandwich as much as I wanted to because of the soggy lettuce. Usually enjoy a good pizza at Main St in Eagleville, however i just had a terrible phone experience with them. They need to evaluate the people who are answering the phone. I tried to order mozzarella cheese fries today and the girl could not understand what mozzarella cheese fries are. Typically the person who answers the phone understands the menu as this was not an unusual request. If you don't understand what the customer is asking for, please ask someone else to get on the phone to help you. Me : I'd like to order mozzarella cheese fries please Main St: Cheese Fries? Unfortunately even though the food is delicious the service is atrocious. Expect your ORDER TO BE WRONG no matter what you say and that you will be OVERCHARGED for these incorrect changes! And if you take it up with the new management (specifically THE OWNERS WIFE) expect them to justify their errors before ever admitting they messed up your order! I never made it past the young lady taking our order, who kept scratching her lip and rubbing her nose with her finger. I very quietly told her, why I had changed my mind about ordering. Gluten free pizza tasty as can be. The staff here so very, very nice. Just as a whim I popped my head into this place (since my daughter and I were really hungry) and said do you have anything gluten free? The response was you bet, so I asked do you have gluten free pizza? The answer was yes we sure do, OMG I have not had pizza since I was told I needed a gluten free diet. Just enjoyed a wonderful meal at Main Street Pizzeria and Grille. This is the 1st time that I was here and wanted to sample a few items and write this review. The restaurant it tastefully decorated and clean. Very appealing to the eye. Sampled a few things with my friends. Had the sweetie pie pizza. AMAZING. Loved it. We enjoyed the calamari as an appetizer. It was out of this world! Cooked to perfection and served with sliced cherry peppers and a side of sauce. Yummy. The homemade chicken salad is the best I have had in such a long time. It was so so so good. The cheeseburgers were huge! They were cooked to perfection and came with lettuce/tomato/onion/pickles and chips. The staff members were friendly, polite and willing to assist with any needs. This is our go to place for take out. This place is consistent on quality and service - both are always great! Our favorite things to get are pepperoni pizza, their sweetie pizza (sweet red sauce and cheese - different but so good), and buffalo chicken cheesesteaks. I went there for the first time tonight after receiving one of their menu's in the mail. . Ordered the Fried Calamari and special cheesesteak. Calamari was overcooked very greasy, the cherry peppers looked like shriveled strings complete with lots of stems. Not sure where the garlic and Parmesan was but it wasn't on the calamari. We have been going to Main Street for years but have noticed a marked improvement since the new owners took over this summer. The owner's homemade meatballs & sauce are DELICIOUS. Burgers remain the same & delicious. The boneless chicken wings have been improved & the honey BBQ sauce is our family favorite. My husband said the improved cheesesteaks are a close runner up to Dellasandros. And the Sweetie Pie pizza is AMAZING - never a slice left over. My co-workers and I have been eating here for over 5 years regularly. Every time I bring a co-worker that hasn't been here before they are surprised that the food is good and affordable. Also, service is fast! If you don't have much time to eat lunch or are picking up- go to Main st. Prices are excellent, staff is courteous and attentive, food is good quality. I especially love the 2 slice + fountain drink deal for $5.25 (plus tax) but the milkshakes, wraps, and burgers are great too.
