Their attention to detail made the entire process seamless. The staff was incredibly kind, professional, and easy to work with from start to finish. They thoughtfully packed everything in a large bin for easy transport and even helped us carry the supplies to our car. Now that's outstanding customer service! The quality of the beverages was exceptional. The coffee was absolutely delicious, and both the coffee and hot water stayed hot for nearly five hours--perfect for our evening event. Our guests loved having a warm beverage to enjoy, and it added a cozy, welcoming touch that made the evening even more memorable. I love to support a small business. I have gone here for quite a while since they are close to work and it is such a treat every time. I especially like their chai tea around the holidays. The only thing I wouldn't recommend is the match, I wasn't impressed. Other than the drinks, their food items are pretty good! My favorite is the breakfast egg, cheese, pesto sandwich. The food inventory is pretty small, so I usually go on their restock days, which is Monday and Wednesday. Also they do a fun thing during the holidays where if you donate a toy for kids at the stand then they will give you a free coffee. read more

I placed a to go order, and it was ready for me when I got there. I got the very berry and greens smoothie, which was 16 oz. It was pretty expensive ($9.95) for the amount that I got. Unfortunately, taste-wise it was too heavy on the super greens and I wasn't able to taste the fruit at all. I also got the harvest chicken bowl ($14). The chicken was dry, but the sweet potatoes were good. I had high expectations, but I don't think I will be back. read more

OMG this place is amazing. I stopped here to check out their coffee and ended up going for the banana brulee matcha and I must say.... As a banana and matcha fan, that drink was PERFECTION. The banana cold foam was the best thing I've ever had though I'm sad it's seasonal. The worker there was amazing also. Super friendly and helpful! The girl at the front was nice, patient, answered all my questions and offered to heat up the empanada. The baristas are very consistent with making the drinks and always have them prepared in a timely manner. I also like how they have seasonal drinks because I am then able to try something completely different throughout the year. The first food I wanted in San Diego was Acai Bowl (I'm from the Bay Area), thinking there may be some better ones down here. On a Friday, they said they were out of acai. She made me a berry smoothie with almond butter on top as an alternative. And it turned out well! She blended all the real frozen fruits right onsite. It was not overly sweet and tasted fresh. So I went there again on Monday to try their Acai bowl cause I'm a diligent foodie, one Mucho acai bowl, and another bowl for my hubby. Everything was good - except that the acai puree they used was too sweet. Doesn't feel healthy anymore, which is why I took out one star. Or they can use less sweeter granola. read more

Ok, hold up, why did nobody tell me about this place? Shame...shame on you if you've been keeping this spot a secret. They have cold brew drinks bomb af that I have not seen anywhere else. Sometimes places put flash menu items up for the socials but don't execute them well. Not Cargo Cafe! Decided to give this place a try after reading so many good reviews on Yelp. But was deeply disappointed at the quality of the coffee. I ordered a 12 oz latte with regular milk. The latte tasted extremely bland. I make espresso at home myself. So I could tell that this drink tasted like there's either only 1 espresso shot in there or a very poor 2 espresso shots. Plus there's way too much milk foam in there. A poor espresso shot with poorly frothed milk makes this drink the weakest latte I've ever had. The only reason I gave this place 3 stars is that the staff were friendly and I didn't have to wait to order. read more
