Authentic Cuban spot! I called and made a reservation for a larger party, they were accommodating and friendly. This is a hole in the wall, a hidden gem. The ambience is cozy with cuban music playing. Service was a little slow but the food was excellent. We ordered a variety of plates to share and everything was great: -arroz con pollo- takes a little time to make it fresh but so worth the wait! it was amazing. -bistec de palomilla- a little over cooked but great flavor. -cuban sampler- highly recommend to sample a bunch of stuff. -side of platanos- a classic -flan- very good -dulce de leche- a little too soggy for my taste -mojitos were excellent! We had a great girls' night here and will definitely be back again!

You don't have to fly to Havana and bypass the Office of Foreign Assets Control to sample the many tastes of Cuba. Quite honestly, you don't have to go much farther than Miami; however, since the Cuban community is comparatively smaller in Dallas, this place is worth a visit. I stopped in on a Saturday afternoon with a taste for beans and rice and a something to satisfy my caffeine fix. I walked in and was greeted by a lovely staff member who happily seated me at a small table. The interior is brightly colored and sets a lively tone, with pictures adorning the walls. The menu offers a variety of dishes ranging from chicken, beef, pork, seafood, sandwiches, and classic favorites a la Ropa Vieja. After carefully evaluating the selections, I opted for a cafe con leche and a side a frijoles negros (black beans) and arroz moro. The coffee was creamy and delectably sweet, with just the right pull of espresso. The beans and rice paired exceptionally well and were savory and filling. I enjoyed my meal and felt that the service, prices, and quality were all excellent. I will definitely return whenever I find myself in Dallas again!

Their chicken sandwich WAS SOOOOOOO GOOD for no reason. We had that and the carribean sandwhich as well and it was equally delicious! Did a to go, none of the ladies spoke English but my order was correct and I had zero issues!

The food was amazing as shown in my photos. I couldn't wait to take a few bites. Then I realized I didn't take a photo. The puerco frito ( fried pork) was juicy, flavorful, and unctuous. The papa rellena (stuffed potato) was a little bigger than I expected. The service was great but the kitchen was lagging a bit. Typical Cuban mid level ambiance. No decor so to speak but very "authentic".

Arroz con Puerco, delish and worth the wait!

Back to try the Cuban sandwich and some favorites. Cuban was tasty, the empanadas are the best, and Arron con pollo is enough for 3-4 to share with some apps on the side. Son tried the Cuban coffee, loved it. Worth the drive.

This place was just ok in my book. The food had good flavor, I just am not a fan of crock pot meat texture. I also am not a fan of my bananas being in the red sauce on the plate. I asked for water no ice, I got ice water- no big deal. The people were friendly and the place looked clean in the dining room. For me it was a bit on the pricey side, I think this meal was like $18.99.

Do not sleep on this place! This is not only super affordable but the food always tastes homemade and delish. My go to is always the Cuban sandwich! Yummy.

This small hole in the wall establishment is pleasant and has good food. We ordered the beef empanada which was meaty and packed with flavor. They also give complimentary bread which is tasty. My guy had the Cuban sandwich he ate every bit of it. I had the fried pork with garlic yuca and it was fantastic. The service was sweet and laid back. I will return.

Some items on drink menu were not available. Have been wanting to try this place for a long time. We had Ropa Vieja and it was delicious. It consisted of shredded beef that was served with rice, black beans and fried plantain.

I love coming to this authentic Cuban spot! The service is fantastic and make you feel welcome, even if you don't know much Spanish at all or know English. That's important to feel warm welcome. The food is amazing, & fresh! I enjoy majority of the dishes. The place all together has great music, people are friendly, food is yummy, and drinks are awesome! I love coming here as much I can and enjoy it.

I'm from Florida originally so Cuban food and especially mojitos have a high bar for me. I am so excited that my new home is less than two miles from this gem! It's been here for 20 years and I know why!! Best mojitos in Addison/carrollton period. The chicken and rice is worth the 30 min wait, I promise! Plus you watch them muddle the beautiful mint with sugar the traditional way. It's amazing in every way. 500 stars to this local gem.

The grilled toast is a part of the sampler. It is light and had the perfect amount of seasoning.

Food was great. Took my mother in law for her Birthday and she was so happy. We had the Picadillo and Churrasco steak.

This is not Cuban food. The service was not bad but this is not Cuban flavor at all. It tasted more like Mexican food.

The food is consistently worth the wait and worth every penny. Speaking of waits, service can be a little slow at times, so I recommend calling ahead or visiting when you're not in a rush. It makes the experience much more enjoyable. The only reason I'm giving a strong 4 stars instead of 5 is the customer service from some of the staff. While not everyone falls into this category, many of the employees can come across as a bit reserved. Once you engage with them, they're usually pleasant, but a few more smiles and a warmer atmosphere would really elevate the experience. I'd love to walk in one day and feel the vibrant, welcoming island energy reflected throughout the restaurant. That said, I'll definitely keep coming back for those wings!

The new location has been several other businesses, over time, including a sushi spot and another lounge type set up, if I'm not mistaken. However, as the new home of Aldeez, I feel that it is lacking the old Je ne sais quoi of the old location. The new location is more modern, but seemingly empty of the Caribbean flare that we all so loved of the original location. All that being said, it took FOREVER for us to receive service, even though we were sitting at the bar and it was not very busy on a weekday. There was no hostess at the hostess stand, no bartender at the bar, and no staff in the place whatsoever from our initial interaction or lack there of. Unprofessional if you ask me! Which demoted this review by one star. All in all, however, the food was absolutely gob smacking. Cooked to perfection and served piping hot, which is what you want of any plate, let alone food from the diaspora. So thank you, Aldeez for not changing your recipes, expanding your menu, and keeping Dallas culturally sound through the years. Bravooooo!!! But please, for all things holy, hire more staff!!!

We ordered via online and realized they relocated. Of course we had to order multiple things to get a feel of their consistency. LET'S GET RIGHT INTO IT; We ordered the Pineapple Juice - (8/10) : The juice was good Hisbicus Tea - (4/10) : The tea was made with cane sugar; that defeated the purpose of a healthy and delicious tea. I really wanted it to be made with agave or date syrup. Side of Cabbage- (4/10) : Cabbage was very bland for fried cabbage, its wasn't seasoned at all and it wasn't cooked through enough to my liking. Side of Fried Brussel Sprouts - (7/10) : Brussel Sprouts were decent and actually seasoned. They just weren't mind blowingly good so a 7 was the best I could give it. Vegan Jerk Oxtail with Mushroom Rice - (8/10) : This right here was great however it was giving more vegan meatloaf then it was oxtail. We had to think of it as a meatloaf for us to be fully satisfied with the flavor. Overall though it was good and we enjoyed it. Vegan Lobster Mac and Cheese - (9/10) : This was the STAR of the show. It was delicious, creamy and the lobster pieces actually were giving lobster lowkey. We enjoyed this one the most and would return just to get this. The Ambiance of the restaurant was cool and definitely would be worth sitting in and enjoying the meals. The decor was decent inside and inside the bathroom, however, the bathroom needs to be upgraded. My rating...
