This is my second time there. And, I liked the fact that my name Starr was included. Yeah! But NOooo! First time customer service sucks. Number one. Went back this time. I asked for subs and literally got charged like 15.00 extra for subbing out. That should have been stated before even making the plate. Than the young lady was like oh my bad. I should have told you yes you should have. Very nonchalant because of convenience. The food is not bad overall. But more salty than seasoned. And for the amount of money they charge. They should be a bit more kind. Keep BOH in the back and get some ppl that can work your FOH. And I heard them say. Oh she thought because Her name was Starr she thought she was gonna be treated special. No STUPID. I review food and wanted to see exactly what you all were really about. And I will be letting all of my ppl know. Not to come see you. There's another spot up the block. I'm going to check out. Place looks nice. But don't judge a book by its cover. Read it. And I read your place. Nice cover. But inside. Me don't like.

Food was good. I had the oxtail meal. Not bad, but not the best I've had. I also got the Mac & cheese.. it was very underwhelming. I'm from Houston where the dining is top notch so it's hard to impress me. My sister got the jerk chicken. She rated it the same. Prices are decent.

Food looks good but that's where it stops. Cold food a strange bite and taste to it maybe because it was cold. Definitely doesn't taste like Caribbean food. More like a water down version. Won't try again as nd would not recommend.

The food here is GREAT!! I LOVE the sweet chili salmon, and when they're out of that, the sweet chili fried chicken is my second favorite. The mac & cheese side is so good too. The service is friendly, but I cannot speak on the ambiance because I have only ever done takeout. Definitely a very casual spot, though. I have gotten food from here tons of times, and it is consistently excellent. Highly recommend.

Had a craving for some fish and this place sure did satisfy my craving hahah. Two piece of fried fish with some peppers came out to $6. That's a steal. I really came here because online said they had escovitch fish but they actually don't.

    This is where you order!!!

My goodness! I just stumbled upon this place. I was walking by, saw the name and took a swing! I'm vegetarian, so I got candy yams, collard greens, and spinach rice. Boom! My mouth tingled and I thought I was back in Jamaica! Delicious flavor for real!!! They have all the Caribbean chicken, fish, and other things you could want!!Then I got the pineapple ginger punch! So good..The ambiance celebrates the USA and Jamaica. Simple and cool with some amazing Jamaican music!!! Loved it!!! Go now!!! Limited eat in seats..

There were only 2 other parties seated and we were seated immediately upon arrival. It's fairly dark inside and the decor reminds me a bit of New Orleans. I enjoyed the ambiance. The drinks were great! I had the cocobella while he had margaritas. The table bread was hot and fresh, so make sure they bring it to the table for you. We had the mussels for an appetizer, lamb chops and bass. EVERYTHING was excellent! The flavor of the broth for the mussels was Devine, so much so my husband used his bread to sop up all he could. The bass had great flavor and came with sautéed spinach that was well cooked. It initially looked like a small portion but turned out to be plenty. The lamb chops were cooked to the requested temp and seasoned well. We left no crumbs. This one is definitely worth a try!

It's a loud and vibrant atmosphere. They have a pre-theater prefix menu which we decided on. Empanada app was 3 large empanadas and each one was flavored and yummy. Also opted for the guac and chips app just to have something a little lighter. Entrees are served with rice and beans. The pernil was excellent. Super tender and garlicky. The ropa vieja was also very good, with deep flavors. Dessert was the course that was disappointing, which was such a bummer after a great meal. The flan was definitely overcooked, so the texture was off. The cafe con keche was decent. The prefix is a great deal which included a drink and it was a lot of food All in all, Havana Central offers some wonderful Cuban flavors and a great choice for a pre-theater dinner. Bonus, if you are seeing Buena Vista Social Club, show your tickets and you get 15% off the bill.

Walked into Margon Restaurant in Midtown and instantly felt like I found one of NYC's secret cheat codes. Small space, big flavors, zero nonsense. The kind of place where you're elbow-to-elbow with strangers but everyone's united by one thing... serious hunger. Ordered the Cuban sandwich -- pressed, crispy, loaded with roast pork, glazed ham, Swiss, pickles, and mustard. One bite in and I stopped talking... which never happens. This thing didn't just deliver... it showed up early and over-prepared. Then came La Bandera Dominicana Braised beef swimming in savory gravy, yellow rice piled like a mountain, black beans doing their thing, and sweet maduros sitting on top like the victory flag. Simple. Comforting. Dangerous... because now I want it every week. Place gets busy, gets loud, gets chaotic... but it moves like a well-oiled machine. Years of experience and zero attitude. Just good people making great food. In a neighborhood full of tourist traps, this hole-in-the-wall is throwing haymakers. Sometimes the best escape in NYC isn't a rooftop... It's a Cuban sandwich and a plastic tray. And honestly... I'd pick that every time. #nycfood #hiddennyc #midtowneats
