I was shocked at how long the line was (at 2 PM!) but I guess people love their Brecotea :) The array of pastries, both savory and sweet, was impressive. My wife and I got savory options this time around and they were decent, but everything was pretty unhealthy and my chicken curry roll was definitely cold in the middle. We also got lattes and they were really tasty. There's a good amount of seating throughout the restaurant and it's reasonably comfy. By the time we left around 5 PM, it was much less busy, so maybe hit up Brecotea around then if you're interested in a more chill experience. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves and would definitely come back, although I may stick to the sweet pastries next time.

I decided to visit their actual store in Cary. Even though it's an hour away from home, I stopped by one day when I had to go to Raleigh for an appointment. An Annelore's employee helped me with selecting about six cake slices and 2-3 different bars, plus some German cookies. The inside of the store is very clean, and there are some places to sit if you'd like to eat there. The employees were kind and helpful (and patient, in my case, trying to decide what to buy for a Book Club group I'd never met in person). Annelore's German Bakery is a wonderful way to take care of your dessert needs and support a local business at the same time. We stopped by Caribou Coffee on a freezing day, craving some hot chocolate, and let me tell you--it did not disappoint. This was hands down one of the best hot chocolates I've ever had. It wasn't overly sweet, just perfectly rich and flavorful, and you can always tell the difference between standard and exceptional hot chocolate--this was definitely the latter. The service was friendly, and what really stood out was the cozy vibe inside. People were chatting, catching up, and enjoying their drinks, which made the atmosphere so inviting. I'd absolutely go back, whether for another hot chocolate or just to soak in the warm and welcoming environment. Highly recommend! read more

After coming here you will never go to Starbucks again. Seriously, it is that good. Whatever Starbucks does that makes their coffees taste burnt, Caribou does not do it.
