I ordered the Chicken Milanese and highly recommend adding a side of angel hair pasta. (which was a recommendation from Sam) Unlike a traditional Milanese, this version comes with a caper beurre blanc sauce. Even though it was listed on the menu, I wasn't expecting so much delicious sauce, and the pasta was perfect for soaking it all up. My boyfriend ordered the chicken and waffles. The waffle was huge and delicious, topped with two very large chicken cutlets and served with syrup and bacon jam butter. He was extremely happy with his choice! The cocktails are on the pricier side, as they are at most places now, but both were very good. We tried the Pinkies Up and the Garden of Eden. I'd only recommend the Pinkies Up if you enjoy peach-forward drinks. Overall, Social Roost has a very cool, elegant and sexy vibe. No notice. No explanation. No staff. We later learned they wouldn't be opening until 9:00 PM. As a business owner of more than 35 years, I understand that mistakes happen. But allowing customers to make reservations, sending same-day confirmations, and then being closed during the reserved time is the kind of operational breakdown that should never occur. I can't comment on the food or service because we never had the chance to experience either. But from an operational standpoint, this was an extremely disappointing experience--especially for visitors who planned part of their trip around this reservation.
