I'm sort of late in posting this as I "visited" this establishment on 6/17. I had been been out of town and came back to some mysterious ailments in my car and an a/c unit that wasnt functioning. in this 100+ degree heat, the prospect of my dog and I driving home to San Diego with no a/c was just defeating. I'd gone to several places that morning and had no luck with being seen. Since I was from out of town and needed to leave, timewas of the essence, but so was my wallet. I stopped at one business who once again said they couldnt see me until the following week, but they referred me to this business. Long story short, these were the most personable, welcoming people I've had the pleasure of dealing with in some time in any business environment. I was apprehensive due to the nature of the problem, expecting quotes way into the upper atmosphere. However, not only did, they diagnose my issue, they were able to solve an additional issue and keep me able to eat and pay bills for the rest of the month!!! I will tell you this, I wish that they were in San Diego, I really do. I'd patronize them faithfully. There is no reason to avoid taking your vehicle here for your automotive needs. I HIGHLY recommend this establishment and its' employees, for they are all knowledgeable, friendly, efficient and will keep you well informed of what is happening with your vehicle. By the way, I recognize the chances may be small, but if youo are a New York Jets fan, they would LOVE the opportunity to serve you and your vehicle!!!! read more

Just wanted to comment on D.L's comments about this shop. After reading this ridiculous review and every other review this woman has left for many business in the AV ( all negative I might add) she has way too much time on her hands as you can clearly see in her comment. This person has not even stepped foot in this business only her husband has. She is completely ignorant and just a very bored individual with nothing better to do. You can not judge a business lady if you have never stepped foot in the door. This is a very well established business in the AV and very well liked. Did you ever stop to think that your last repair shop that you went to for 15 years was not as good as Carlax? They missed oil leaks??? Really!!! So to D.L. I say to you find a hobby woman and stop trying to trash quality businesses in our community!!! FINALLY! I have tried to find someone to fix my 1999 Chevy Corvette and nobody has given me the full diagnostic. Bruce at Carlax did a full diagnostic on my car and found all the issues that should have been detected with previous inspections. I have never felt so safe with a mechanic. After being taken advantage of in the past, honesty is very important to me. Bruce showed me EVERYTHING, with photos, that needed repairing on my car, and he EXPLAINED why. After the repairs, he saved all the parts that were removed and showed me their condition. He gave me before and after photos of the work. When I drove my car away, I could literally fell the difference. I am so grateful and satisfied with Carlax. Nobody else will ever touch my vehicles as long as Carlax is around. I'm an extremely satisfied first time customer with the services of Carlax in Palmdale, CA. I'm not only impressed with their onsite performance, but also their online performance. It's so thorough in it's onboarding setup that I was able to get virtually all the information I needed without speaking with anyone that works there. And their diagnosis and estimate cell phone relay is so advanced and step-by-step informative, which is also accompanied, where applicable, with photos and videos. I sure hope that other mechanic shops will follow the example that Carlax has set. Moreover, I've been a Midas customer for over 40 years, but from what I've experienced, they are not as advanced in their customer processing as Carlax, even though Midas is a national brand with millions of dollars to support it. I heard about Bruce and Tina's repair shop a few time from a fishing buddy of mine he told me every time he leaves to go up north he takes his car in to have it looked at he tells me the prices are far and the quality and work is amazing so my brakes where making a funny sound I took to some place near my house and they did a horrible job so my friend said I won't get into your car anymore until you fix it so I decided to call them talked to Steve funny guy took it in the next day they told me Everything that was wrong with it and fixed it right unlike the other place they did a crappy job I trust Bruce and Tina's repair shop with my vehicle it's hard to find a trust worthily repair shop and I will be customer for life as long as I'm in the antelope valley thank you guys for keeping me and my mom safe on the road read more

My parents have been going to Bruce and his crew since I was a child and his shop was Bruce & Tina's in east Palmdale. Carlax is in a new location more centrally located to be able to help the entire Antelope Valley, with the same quality, trustworthiness, and expertise that has been shown for decades. My parents still go to Bruce for car issues and here I am a 43 year old mom who now takes my truck to Carlax. My most recent experience I thought my whole transmission was going out. I called Tina and was able to get in the next morning. They diagnosed the problem easily, put quality care and work into getting me back on the road quickly. Price was good. Most recently they change my oil and replaced my rear brakes. It took a couple of days to get it all done, but my car is running (and stopping) as well as it ever has. My family and many of my friends have been going to Bruce at Carlax for years. I appreciate his hard work and honesty. He doesn't try to convince me that every problem needs to be fixed immediately and then charge me an arm and a leg. With my most recent car, he even made a list of issues and ranked them by severity and then I've been able to take care of them as time, money, and need arises. I asked for the inspection I heard so many good things about. When I received the inspection report, it showed me pictures of what they saw on my car as well as a list of what was good( green) what needed attention eventually (yellow) and what needed to be fixed (red) and could be a safety hazard. This service was so valuable to me and gave me a choice of what to have repaired. I elected to have some repairs done and it was a great value. My car left there a happy car. It just drove better. I had an exceptional experience with this auto shop. From the mechanics, to the office, and the owner himself. You really get that mom and pop kind of energy and you feel comfortable bringing in your car. Bruce, the owner, went out of his way to make sure I was informed of every issue with my Mazda and gave me recommendations on what needed to be fixed. I own a 2004 and a 2005 model vehicle. This is the best shop ever that I have used for repairs. I believe Bruce and his staff are honest in their assessment of repairs needed. I was very impressed with the service I received. They communicated with me every step of the way, and didn't try to upsell any service to me. The work I had done was new fuel injectors, and my spark plugs. I had my car towed there on a Wednesday after work. They diagnosed it and ordered the parts I needed on Thursday , and by Friday it was finished when I got off work at 2 PM. My car runs better now than it has for a long time and they were very quick and thorough.. I will use them for all my car needs from now on. I gotta say, an honest mechanic is worth his weight... anyway, these guys are great. I just dropped in, and even though they were busy, they took the time to check out my problem. I'm a little embarrassed to admit, my trouble was due to OE (operator error). The guy cleared the trouble ( a loose oil filter installed by yours truly) and sent me on my way. When there IS a real problem, you get a reasonable quote and the work is completed as promised without any "surprises". Go see these guys for real service.
