What a find in Red Bluff! Three of us were starving on our road trip between Redding and Chico and decided to try this place based on Yelp reviews. It did not disappoint. I ordered nachos and even though they didn't have it on the menu, I asked if they could make them with vegetables instead of meat. They did and they were loaded, delicious and would make a full meal for two. The two people with me ordered combo plates --the chicken taco, chicken enchilada, chili rellano and a chili verde burrito which were all great; with the chili rellano being a standout. Longest wait for mexican food. I guess we're pretty spoiled in the bay area wherein there's so many choices of mexican restaurant that food comes out within 10-20 minutes of ordering it. We waited for almost 45 minutes after ordering our food. The food was already getting cold when they served it to us. read more

Decided to stop and grab dinner on our way back from Lassen National Park and had the best Mexican food I've had in my life. Our waitress, Celeste was very nice and attentive. I had the steak fajitas which I rate 10/10. Highly recommend this place. read more

For the best Mexican food and service this is the place. The portions are large the food is fresh. The salsa was chopped tomatoes, onions etc. No canned ingredience. We travel through here every few years andd look forward to this experience. read more

Cadillac Margarita was good but the tacos al carbon, tacos al pastor and kids burrito were very sub par unfortunately.

Decent food, nothing fabulous. A bit expensive for what you get. I ordered an appetizer of fluatas and a diet coke with a side of salsa Verde. Total was $11.70 Terrible Salsa Verde! Yuck! Tastes like oil is the main ingredient. I love green sauce but this watery gruel gives green sauce a bad name. The chips are standard grocery store fare, the salsa very chunky, spicy and also very 'grocery store'. The positives: 1. Great service 2. Fast service 3. Fluatas were tasty (mmm cheese) 4. We picked this place while traveling because it was right off the road we had to turn off on. Sometimes that doesn't turn out so hot, but this was a very pleasant find. I had the chicken enchilada and that was amazing. It wasn't too cheesy and the chicken was really soft. I would def. recommend this place.

We went for dinner after a soccer tournament with about 30+ people. The service was awesome! We called ahead 20 minutes and they had the entire back room set up for us and ready to go. Our waiter, Kevin, was a superstar. Not only was he great at his job , he interacted with the boys, and even entertained them with his mad tray flipping skills. And one of the other waiters showed off his soccer juggling skills and the boys loved it. The food was great and it all came out at the same time, which is quite a challenge with such a big party. It's over 90 degrees outside, the hostess was slow to acknowledge me, a few minutes later she shows me to a table and sets down chips and salsa and disappears. I can overhear the couple in the booth next to me complaining about how long it took to get their meal, and the terrible service. After waiting more than 10 minutes, a waitress finally comes by and asked me if I needed anything. Can't she see I don't have any water, or a napkin, and the menu is still on the table? HELLO! Are you doing your job today?! I order water and a drink, she disappeared, five minutes later the hostess comes by and ask me if I need anything. I let her know I am leaving, and I am not eating there because I felt ignored, and the service is so bad I am afraid to see what comes out of the kitchen. I did loan my pen to the couple next to me, they filled out the comment card. I can't say the food is bad, because I couldn't get past the absolutely terrible customer service. read more

Awesome! Awesome! Awesome! Went here with my family of four and we left stuffed! My parents ordered something (forgot the name) but it was shrimp wrapped with bacon with the usual (rice, beans, cheese, lettuce) and it was so much! Luckily they ordered one to share, and they still barely finished! My brother got the fajitas which he said were really good, and I got a burrrito with beans, rice, onions, bell peppers and steak inside with a side of guac and sour cream, and it was delicious! Barely finished it too! Did I also mention that I am in an Asian family of four and my dad was trying to get out of going to this restaurant because he didn't want to step out of his comfort zone? Well all four of us loved our meals!!! Just remember that the portions are huge! So if you're not as hungry, order one to share and save money! :) would deffo come back, but I don't live here. read more

This place has food with amazing flavor. It's just odd that the salsa that they bring you with your chips lacks a blended taste and each bit just tastes like one vegetable. Also even though the food tastes amazing I do not like the price. It was thirty bucks for two people. There are so many places in town that have comparible Mexican food for half the price. It also doesn't have the interior atmosphere to match the price. And I would expect the plating to be up to that price standard. Nothing made it seem like it was a reasonable price. Yes the food was tasty but it was upsetting to see the bill considering the portion sizes where not extremely large. So if I ever don't care about prices and I can settle with bad salsa then I might come back. read more

The food is very good. The carne asada burrito had a wonderful slightly sweet salsa on top that paired well with the meat. The other folks I was with all enjoyed their food too. Watch out for the roasted jalapeños. They are actually hot. read more

Meh... It's okay. Friendly and clean for sure. I like a little gristle but my asada was rather rowdy and overpriced. Still delicious but not 4.5 star delicious in my opinion. In town on business and wanted Mexican food, highly recommend Carlitos for very authentic Mexican food. I had the Campechana cocktail which was well served with shrimp, scallops, octopus in a spicy sauce of fresh tomatoes, cilantro and onions. Very refreshing goblet of goodness!! The server offered me a fried whole jalapeño that tasted so good with my side of rice and beans, wonderful. Family friendly and quick service. Very clean environment!
