Did we really just drive over an hour for Carls Jr? Yes...yes we did. This location is attached to a "Loves" which is a typical convenience store but also a very busy truck stop. Truckers can even take showers there, they have a whole system set up where there is even a screen in the Carls Jr letting you know what "number" is next for whatever trucker's turn it is to take a shower. Very interesting, as I've never seen a truck stop like that before. There was a good amount of turn around at this location, steady come and go of guests. Contrary to other reviewers we did not encounter anyone rude or uncaring. The employees seemed fairly content and friendly with guests as well as eachother. Everything seemed pretty clean, too. We received our food in a timely manner, they call out your receipt number and then even say what you ordered out loud. We usually have Carls Jr when visiting California, I will say the buns are different here. They're perfectly shaped and fluffy! In California it's all squished down and never looks like the promo photos around the store. So that's a plus I would say! The kids weren't crazy about the fact their kids meal cheeseburgers came with ketchup AND mustard, though...so if you have kids and they don't like mustard remember to say something as your order. In the mood for a breakfast sandwich from Carl's Jr., so I stopped on the way to Duncanville at this location attached to a loves gas station. Ran into loves wash my hands. The workers greeted me very friendly. Got back into my car went through the drive-through and immediately I can hear the tone in the voice a very unhappy worker. No mannerism no courtesy no smile pretty sad. When I came to the window the girl looked at me walked away, went towards the back, and another worker came over to me told me my total took my card, shut the window and walked away. I said good morning to both ladies, and both ignored the greeting, I was very courteous to them and both again responded very rude very negative made me wonder how they prep the food. The gal came out. Gave me my food and I asked is there creamer in the coffee and she goes yeah you got everything dude. I grew up with this stuff! It's part of a Love's truck stop/weigh station/regular gas station complex... and the Carl's part of the sign is TINY. Seriously, I had to circle a few times just to get into the parking lot (don't turn in from the access road and take the first right thinking you're getting in from the back... you'll exit the weigh station's driveway and circle AGAIN!) - but it didn't cool my jets one bit. Also, I'm kinda half in love now with the flirty, silly guy with gold toofs running the cash register. Hey, I'm easy. Whatev. Carl's is a little step up from normal fast-food burgers... and although I loves me some Western Bacon Cheeseburger (bacon, cheese, bbq sauce, onion ring), it doesn't love me. Who cares when they have a Charbroiled Chicken Club?! (The CC Salad is the tits, too) So, to set the scene: whole wheat bun, mayo, just-crispy enough bacon, swiss-ish cheese, leaf lettuce (my burning hatred for shredded is well-documented), and maters. LOTS of maters the way I do it (could've sworn it used to have sprouts? Who cares, I'm at CARLS!!). That's the stuff that surrounds the magical chicken. I gotta give props where they are due. As a native Californian, I've easily been to hundreds of Snarls Jr's in my 42 years. I have never in my life been to one as impressive as this one here in Texas of all places. Where if it ain't BBQ, it will probably be some horrid perversion of what food is and should be. Believe me it's few and far between. I've been here 3 time this past week for lunch since I work nearby, and everything was hot and fresh and looked like it was made for one of the close-ups in their commercials. The burger includes lettuce and tomato but I ordered it without however the bacon 3-way Burger itself is a angus patty and bacon in the form of thick-cut, Applewood-smoked strips and crumbled bacon, but the curve ball comes in the form of bacon jam. The jam combines bacon pieces, balsamic vinegar, caramelized onions and molasses and the whole thing is served on a brioche-style bun. The overall taste is very sweet but tasty. It's not something I would order everyday but it is a nice change from your typical burger. read more

I've never been a big fan of fast food, it always makes me feel so sluggish and tired. And the food is usually too greasy for me to enjoy. Carl's Jr. Is that exception. The Polk location has always gotten my order right (and boy is it complex) and they usually are pretty nice too. Customer service is never the highlight at a fast food joint, so I won't focus too much on that. The food is usually hot and fresh, and just the way I want it. Sometimes it takes too long though, despite them need seeming too busy. Every once in awhile I will have to send my food back because it is burned or it isn't hot and fresh, but most days it's pretty great. The prices are a little higher than I would like them, but that being said, I keep coming back. read more

Service has gotten bad in the last couple months. Morning or night I have had orders messed up or had to wait for a very long time with only one car in front of me. I came to get some food from this location on Saturday June 27th, my order was taken by Darius who was super rude when doing so, he told me that there were no shakes available when I had just seen someone from the inside with one, then after taking my order rudely, I asked him to please repeat it to make sure he got it all right, he did it super fast and not understandable at all through the drive-thru speaker, obviously bothered by my request, then when I took off with my order I realized he got the order wrong and I didn't wanna bother turning around to deal with his attitude much longer, I will not return to this location, the customer service is obnoxious, this is the second time this happens which is why I'm writing a review on it, I usually go to the location in Hutchins but this one was closer at the time so I wanted to save the trip. read more

This is located in a large Love's gas station. Plenty of parking spaces. Staff is very friendly, food is mediocre like any fast food. But it's clean, quick and great staff. I have 3 stars because food is just okay. Theres a small game room with a few games, great for families and kids. read more

The food at this location is ordinarily fresh and tasty, but for the past couple of days, it was not fresh nor tasty...it was NASTY!!! Yesterday, I went through the drive thru and ordered 3 chicken tenders. I noticed that it was ready as soon as I got to the window. I asked her if the food was fresh, because it was for my grandson and she quickly stated, "yes"! Well, NOT to my surprise, it had been warmed over. I also had to ask for my receipt. This morning, I again went through the drive thru and ordered two bacon burritos, which are ordinarily tasty. I ordered one for myself and anther for my grandson, 5 years old.
