Driving over the grapevine, there aren't too many choices for food, but we were glad we stopped at Carl's Jr. Despite a lot of snow outside, and craziness inside (huge families and groups of people stopping for lunch), they did a good job getting our food fast, hot, and fresh. Unexpectedly fast service. The line moved efficiently and quickly and no long lines of people waiting for their food. Very nice.

This is the worst stop to stop at for any pitstop. They offer no amenities for travelers such as bathrooms, breakfast or Soda water. The slowest service, they do not allow people inside, and are missing menu items, and don't offer breakfast all day(it's noon). The staff is super unapologetic about any of this, and very ignorant to fast food. They don't even know how to use the soda water button! don't go here if you're looking for a pit stop, you're just going to be pissed off because they can't even get your order correct! We just got our food back, finally, hit the road and Now when we checked it, all our burgers have picks in them!!! We hate pickles! Drive through experience was Top Notch. DJ was articulate and polite. He made ordering a joy. As he processed the transaction his customer service continued to be excellent. After a long drive you are looking for a clean restroom and a decent place to eat. We found that at the Carl's Jr. / Green Burrito place off the freeway in Gorman. It was windy but the parking is plentiful and the inside was nice and warm with a friendly greeting. They have a $5 value double cheeseburger with onion rings, fries, a cookie and a fountain drink. The lovely missus said it was a great value as she ate the whole meal. I ordered the Bean and Cheese burrito which was grilled and pushed flat on both side and the combination of refried beans with the melting cheese and a bit of green sauce made for a great burrito. Been frequenting this burger stop since college, on my holiday and break drives up to nor cal. Gorman is an interesting stop because you're pretty much right next to the mountain. Just drove 15 miles from PMC to Gorman and they closed 45 minutes early. But when I pull up there is a guy in front of me getting his order just fine. She proceeds to say "we are closed the system is down" and I ask how did he just get an other then, and she couldn't come up with a logical excuse then told me to F myself then slammed the window in my face. My quick drive-thru experience with them was rather pleasant, but expected. The employees that were manning the drive-thru were very efficient. The food was great. On the drive to Nor-Cal I decided to have a snack. Low and behold, my eyes come across Carl's Jr. This brought back memories from when I was in high school. During high school we were allowed to go off campus for lunch and I always found myself eating a western bacon cheeseburger or a famous star! I mean, come on what more can a girl want or need! Of yes, criss cut fries please! Carl's Jr makes the best criss cut fries ever! I have eaten from the West Coast to the East Coast and even on the Islands of Hawaii. Criss cut fries does not get any better than the ones that Carl's Jr serves. I'm a sucker for their criss cut fries, always :) This place was perfect to fill my hunger and it did after I ate their western bacon cheeseburger meal with criss cut fries :) I recommend this place for all those who drive/commute from So-Cal to Nor-Cal Next time I make the drive again I will make a stop here to satisfy my hunger! The eating area was not dirty, but the bathrooms were another story. Both my wife and I used the bathrooms and the conditions of both were identical. The soap dispenser in the men's room was starting to come off the wall. Both the men's and the women's the hand dryer was inoperatable. I really think that management has to have some pride in the conditions of the restrooms. The hamburgers were not bad, but the time lapse between ordering and serving was way too long. I think that next time we will go over to the Mexican restaurant next door that had a Yelp rating of 4 stars. read more

I have to commend the integrity and honesty of the staff and customers. Please allow me to explain. On our RV road trip up to NorCal "we" forgot a purse at this place - with cash, credit cards and all our passports. We were to fly home to Europe the next day. We discovered that only when entering the East Bay area up North. We finally found out which Carl's Jr. place we were at, called them on the phone to make sure the purse was actually there. To our greatest relief it was and we drove two hours back to pick it up - everything was still in there, including the cash and cards. Thank you America! You are home to great people. This place has been a lifesaver for me about two dozen times. Our semi-annual trip from the OC to Bakersfield would be lacking without the traditional pit stop at this Carl's Jr. We usually stop because somebody is about to burst at the seams, or fall asleep behind the wheel. This place is the perfect antidote to both. Clean, nice restrooms. A separate solarium seating area, mucho cool! I've been hitting this Carl's Jr. for decades, as it's near the entrance of Hungry Valley OHV area. I only use the drive-thru, and it's efficient, so you don't have to worry if the line is long. Disgusting... Neither men's or women's restroom had hand soap. Just water in the dispensers. I asked an amplitude for some and got a very annoyed look--- like I was asking for something outrageous. I didn't use the bathroom so I can't say how dirty this place is like the other reviewer but I knew going into Carl's that I didn't want to use the bathroom. It's pretty much empty here and you'll get your typical fast food restaurant service and food quality. So if you go to any Carl's Jr expecting to be treated like royalty, or get exceptionally gourmet burgers, or it to be super clean and fully stocked at all times, you must be from another planet. Sad burger. Restrooms: clean on my first visit, a short while later, made a 2nd visit (u know, h20!) before hitting the road again. Well, much to my surprise, someone decided that using 37 toilet seat covers was necessary, but flushing was not. Go figure!? Overall Cleanliness: hmm... Well, we had to search for the cleanest table in the empty restaurant, and still, there was much to be desired at the table we did choose. Restroom seemed cleaner than the tables. Oh well, two words: Fast Food. Customer Service: Great!
