Every time I come to this Carl's it gets worse. Thursday July 9 10:30 pm the employee at the drive through told me I couldn't get a regular California Classic unless I did a build it myself. Then he told me we couldn't get our pickles on the side like we always do. Whomever is training these employees is doing a lousy job. On February 14, 2025, I and my dad came here after filling $20 gas at Love's Travel Center. We drove from Boulder City, NV. I got a California Classic Double Cheeseburger, costed $3.89, Robert was the cashier, at 3:14PM. It was hailing a little bit outside. On the same night, I came here again for buying two double cheeseburges for our dinner, at 8:24PM, costed $7.78. Robert was the cashier again, efficient and great employee. Back kitchen door left wide open for anything or anyone to come in. Pot head service openly smoking. No hair nets. No apparent janitor in the dining area. The food was standard for Carl's Junior but the flavor is overshadowed by the knowledge of where it was cooked. The best thing this "restaurant" does is direct you to another one. 08/10/2024 - Night shift - The app..... Didn't have all food items to choose from (only had single big carl, no Jalapeño burger, etc). I decided to create the famous star into the Jalapeño burger. When I asked the young man with longish hair and glasses... if they had it he was very snarkey with his replies. When I asked, if I could have the Santa fe sauce added on The burger of on the side.... He said we don't have it prepackaged. No duh. It goes on your burgers and I want to add it. I asked him for ranch and ketchup to add to the bag, he walked away. The young lady who brought me food ended up asking me, "Would you like any sauces?" Husband ordered chicken tenders combo, but he bumped it up to #15 which came with a cookie AND saved us $$$$! Very pleasant man! Both of our meals were hot and delicious. I am not the person that likes to complain but this place was so bad i had to write something about it. Yes it's Carl's Jr. but it was really good! Surprisingly in a truck stop. The guys working in there were almost too friendly and always had smiles. So refreshing to see. I did a mobile order through the app. I walked in to claim my bounty. I stood there, literally for about 4 or 5 minutes, and had four employees, three of them making eye contact, that didn't ask me if I was ready to order, or if I placed an order, kind of just were filling other orders. No greeting, no big deal. The fourth employee, with a bag in hand, which would ultimately be mine, finally asked me if I needed to place an order and I told her that I did the mobile order. So she gave me my bag, and my drink cup. So I haven't had Carl's Jr in a while, but when I do, I always get a low carb wrap. As you can tell for my picture, I got skimpy piece of lettuce, that was completely wilted from the heat of the burger, might as well of just wrapped the burger in the paper and give it to me. This was literally the most embarrassing low carb wrap I have ever had. Unacceptable. I ordered the fiery Diablo Angus burger or whatnot, and I don't know if they just scorched the living s*** out of the burger patty, or if they just had one laying around in the janitor's closet, because it definitely didn't taste fresh, and for Angus beef, I could have swore it was one of those plant burgers that those weird liberal crunchies that hate meat, like to order, to pretend they're eating meat, while they sit around and talk about hating people who eat meat. Anyways, I had a 50% off coupon on my app otherwise, if I would have paid $15 for this garbage, I would have been really pissed off. The fried zucchini was the best part of my entire meal. Stopped at this location for breakfast, based on a previous visit at another location we hoped Carl's Jr. had improved. This was not what we experienced. The location was clean but this is common for the Loves Truck Stops. The one and only staff member at Carl's Jr. was decent with his customer service. We wanted to order combo menu items but they were out of decaffeinated coffee, regular coffee, and orange juice. We opted to just by directly from the truck stop itself. The overall opinion for our group was the food was okay and just met that we just spent money and needed to eat what we ordered. Overall if you have to stop at this location do, but if you can go further down the road you should. McDonald's would be a better option for breakfast than this Carl's Jr. read more

I thought this meal was delicious especially for being fast food and at a service plaza. It was my first time ever eating here so I ordered something safe--a small fry and the new hand-breaded crispy chicken sandwich. In my opinion, this sandwich was far superior than it's competitors such as Popeyes, Burger King, McDonald's, Chic-fil-a, etc. The chicken was crunchy and not too oily or not too much breading. The chicken was juicy, the buns were nice and soft, and the amount of mayonnaise was perfect. My only critique is that I wish the chicken patty would be a bit bigger so it would cover the full size of the bun. The fries were a bit salty but that's how I like them. They were cooked to perfection and brought a good amount for a small. I also tried the only rings and they're very crunchy, not soggy at all, and the onion stays intact instead of coming out when you bite into it. I would come again to Carl Jr's. read more

Service was very slow especially since there was hardly anyone in there and not only did they short us fries the ones they did give us were cold n soggy n burnt then I went back in to get the fries they shorted us n they weren't good either! I don't really know if it's worth anyone's time (mine, included) to write or even read a review for Carl's Jr. I mean, those who go will continue to go, no matter what someone like me says (and I rarely go, if ever.) This Carl's Jr., in particular, isn't free-standing, by the way; rather, it shares space with a Love's Travel Stop and a Subway. If you're getting gas and you're hungry, it's likely you'll break down and belly-up to it. (One plus, I'll say, is that there is a drive-thru.) But I don't eat fast food all that often, and if I do, it hasn't been from a Carl's Jr. So since I am rushed for time and pickings are slim--I'm dead-set upon beating my GPS's suggested 6 hours and 12 minutes drive by 45 minutes to an hour, if possible--I'm making exceptions. So why is this 3-car drive-thru taking over 10 minutes? Maybe, on this day, staffing problems are piling up. It happens. But I don't want to eat here anyway, and it certainly isn't fast, so I left my place in line even though I'd already ordered. Sorry about that. But I had a tight schedule to keep. I was buying Diesel from Love's and saw a poster in Carl's Jr window advertising breakfast sandwiches 2 for $4.00. Went in and ordered two sausage egg cheese biscuits. The lady at the counter rang this purchase up and told me it would be $8.99. I told her the poster in the window said it was $4.00, and she said, "Oh you want the special?", well DUH!, why would I want to pay $8.99 instead of $4.46? OK so I've come here before in the morning to fuel up my CNG vehicle and in the morning it's horrible as the line is long and slow (usually half an hour) and it would take 15 after you order your food before you get it, but this time I came in at night and the line was short and service was fast!
