This is the closest to us and my DW favorite shopping place. All kind of stores, my favorite is Van Heusen (with Izod together) and I don't like to shop anyway. Parking could be a problem during weekends (you will see a lot of shoppers being bused) and holidays. Seniors getting discounts on Tuesdays, its a pedestrian friendly mall, the location is close to the I-5 Freeway, there are some food places - Japanese Grill, Ruby's Diner (we tried both), usual Starbucks. Ladies will like Dooney & Bourke, also Coach hand bag stores, Chico's. Shoes at Clark's, Nike, Adidas, etc. It's a small outlet mall (cannot compare it, let say to Las Americas Premium Outlets at San Ysidro on the border, it's more similar to Outlets at San Clemente, and it's little bigger then Viejas Outlets). I came here after work with co workers and I must say I scored. Went to Reebok and they were having a sale! They even give AAA members 20% off. Most people don't know that, you're welcome . I live closer to the Las America's outlets but I like to go here because there seems to be different options. There's so many choices you can't go wrong. Bad service at all the different shops. They treat you terribly and it isn't worth the money.

We stopped here Halloween weekend.We were not able to got to every store, but it seems like this outlet has really tried its best to enforce social distancing and certain guidelines; throughout the outlet, but at each store (at least the ones we visited). There were individuals we did see not wearing face masks, but for the most part, shoppers and all employees were wearing face masks. Parking. We got there pretty early. Right when store started opening up. There was ample parking to choose from, but by the time we got back to our car, it seemed as if the parking lot was full. I did notice some stores were closed, don't know whether it's because of COVID or if the spots are normally closed. Would I come back here again? The layout of this outlet mall is very streamlined and organized. This is probably one of the better outlets I've been to and would consider it superior to other outlets such as Citadel or Cabazon. I came here looking for business casual clothing and professional work shoes, and found exactly what I was looking in shops like Ann Taylor Factory Store and Clarks. They have a nice assemblage of stores with a lot of frugal deals in each one. And when you Yelp check-in, you get a free savings passport with more shopping deals at most of the stores, which is always a savvy shopping perk! read more

The Skeckers store has a vast selection with good sales. The other shops do not really have great bargain deals. Tips? Arrive before the shops open. Parking is easy at this time. We were here during the 4th of July weekend and found some great deals at Kate Spade, Coach, Banana Republic and Lucky Brand! Very happy with the low sales tax too! I came here for the first time yesterday and had a pretty good time. I love all the different stores that are available. Be sure to stop by the Information Center to pick up a Savings Passport - I saved so much with that! Shoutout to the staff at Ralph Lauren - they were all super friendly and helpful! Another shoutout to the staff at Brooks Brothers - thank you for helping us get all those discounts! Parking was easy to find (on a Friday afternoon) and there were so many sales! You are better off buying online than wasting time here. Finally found a decent store to shop in but the AC is broken. First time checking out Carlsbad Outlets (and first time in years I've been to any outlet mall). What can I say - it was exactly what I expected. Large collection of well-known stores; good deals; different-than-the-mall selection of clothes. I went into the Crate and Barrell, Old Navy, Theory, 7 for all mankind, gap, Calvin Klein, jockey, under armor, guess, Ann Taylor, Chico, banana republic...and I'm sure a few more. All the restaurants/Starbucks are on one end of the mall. That's fine but just makes it difficult to casually stroll by and grab a bite. Fortunately the drizzly weather kept the crowds light and the parking was easy. I can see parking being an issue during the holidays. read more

Nice, clean, plenty of parking on a Saturday around noon. Lots of stores, you could find anything you need. It was Chinese New Year so they had a nice celebration show with dragons and drums. I thought that was cool. Came here mainly for Nike, the store is much smaller than other outlets but nonetheless I found exactly what I was looking for in my size, which happened to be the last one. Nightmare parking scenario that makes me want to not come back. To be honest our main goal in coming here was to eat at Blaze Pizza with some shopping afterwards. I thought that the parking situation at the outlet mall in Orlando by Disney World was bad but it's a cakewalk compared to this place. We completely circled the outlet at least four or five times before we finally were able to find a parking spot. We got so desperate we even thought of parking at a business across the street but that must have been a common occurrence because there's signage warning that you will be towed if you do. If you don't want to put up with this they do offer valet parking. When I got inside I found an outlet mall smaller than the ones I'm used to going to in Florida. It was nice that besides the mega chains there were some small businesses that some sold eclectic items. read more

If you're looking for name brands, label stores, and long lines, this outlet is for you. We found it to be lacking in warmth and friendliness and a bit long on concrete and hard exteriors. They advertise wheelchair accessible, they're probably meeting the regulations on that because every surface seems flat and hard. For an outdoor mall, the spaces are still a bit claustrophobic. Not sure why people go here, drive around to find parking, then stand in line to look over some things that are easier to buy online today with a lot less fuss. If you must go, we recommend going after sunset when things cool off a bit. They do, after all, have a wide variety of stores--which is A-OK. read more

Funny thing, when I first moved to Oceanside 13 years ago, I did not know this place existed. I actually figured it was part of the Car Country Mall. In fact, I passed it on my way to Las Americas down by the border. I even made a pilgrimage to the outlet in Indio. This outlet has a bunch of decent stores. I find myself here quite a bit, whether shopping for myself or for gifts. Sketchers, a perfume store, Nike, Gap, Crate and Barrel, Guess... it sure beats The Shoppes at Carlsbad, which is 2-stars in my book. Also, aside from San Clemente, it's the closest/best outlet to me (actually, the closest and best mall in general to me as well). It's nice to wander around and pop in and out of stores. There's sometimes really good sales. It's an outdoor mall, with pleasant views. On shopping breaks, I like to chill out on one of the many benches, eating ice cream or drinking Starbucks coffee. The things that are "meh" here are the dining options and parking can get quite horrendous. Luckily this is centrally located to several nice (albeit chain) restaurants. If I come weekdays around 11 am, parking is not an issue. My favorite place to grab lunch (actually the only spot here that I will visit) is San Sai Grill. It's not really Japanese food, but it has an Asian theme. Chicken teriyaki is my fave with any noodle salad. My best tip is to not come here looking for something specific, as it will be pretty hard to find. I once came on a mission for obnoxiously bright hot pink running shoes and could not find my size in any store. I did leave with new shoes anyway though lol. I've been coming here for years. I love that it is outdoors and you can walk and enjoy the sun. There is plenty of parking and a good amount of stores to visit. I wouldn't go on the weekends just because it can get crowded and I just don't want to deal with rude people. The size of the mall is pretty decent and the variety of stores is great. I don't necessary come to shop for anything in particular but I always stop by the ASICS and Under Armour stores. Dining options are limited but its decent. read more

I came to this mall to go shopping with my daughter. I definitely like this mall because there are so many outlets like Coach, Michael Kors, Disney Store, Guess, etc. I can go on and on. My daughter and I hit a few stores. I didn't want to do damage to my wallet so I only went into two stores which were Guess and Disney Store. I enjoy walking around this mall. Parking can get full. Get here early. There are also a few places to eat here. There's a Ruby's Diner, Panda Express and a Starbucks. There's also places to eat across the street. It was cooler at this outdoor mall than the ones inland. One of my top favorite malls to go to. read more

I came here looking for a wallet at Coach. They didn't have what I was looking for so the rep gave me other locations in the outlet that might have what I was looking for instead of just blowing me off. She had a good understanding of her products especially when I showed her my wallet. She knew approximately when I bought it and understood my needs. When I arrived at Tumi I was shown their wallet collection and was also treated nicely. When purchasing she found me a new untouched one from the drawer and was also knowledgeable about their products as well. I recommend this outlet for anyone visiting from SD or LA. read more

I have been to these outlets quite a bit, I can't believe I haven't reviewed them yet. There are so many great outlets here, and a couple of duds but overall there are some great deals here. I frequent Banana Republic, Kate Spade, Fossil, as well as Carter's for my nephew. Brooks Brothers is a waste of space, you have to buy $500 worth of stuff to start saving so they should be kicked out. Banana Republic has some amazing deals, I get a lot of work clothes there. There are quite a bit of places to eat, I usually hit up Rubios or a place across the way. The Starbucks is usually absolutely crazy. Unless you have a pot of time forget about it. On the weekends parking is a nightmare. So best of luck if you go on peak times. It was great when I worked down the street and went on a weekday. Either way it's worth going there! read more

Carlsbad Premium Outlets is an outdoor outlet mall that's located in Carlsbad (San Diego). There is a lot of shops here which is why I like coming to this outlet. Some of the places I go here are Coach, Tori Burch, and Aeropostale. There's always great deals going on in these stores. There are several restaurants here to. This is one of Southern California's smaller outdoor outlet shopping malls in comparison to others I have been to. I have come here many times in search for clothing, shoes, and purses for my family or as gifts, but have left many times empty handed and feeling disappointed. There are many great stores at this Mall, but I tend to frequent the same ones such as Coach, Bebe Outlet, Banana Republic Factory Store, Skechers and Crate and Barrel. Leaving empty handed makes me feel that it wasn't worth the one hour drive each way to shop there. Another frustration with this mall is that there is very limited parking, so during the holiday season it makes it very rough to find parking. Last Christmas I left the mall to shop elsewhere because the parking lot was so bad. Unless the mall runs better deals at their stores, it may not be worth the drive out that way unless I happen to be in the area for another reason. read more

I used to come to this place much more often when Belle Fleur restaurant was open. Nowadays, I rarely come here. However, I was here the other day to get some stuff for my kids and my husband. This place has become rather posh for an outlet and I'm surprised at how busy it was on a Friday morning! Nonetheless, glad to see it doing well and that there are shopping options around Carlsbad. I tend to come here a few times a month because well...I'm addicted to shopping, window shopping included. Parking lots always full unless you're lucky! I tend to go to the back and always luck out over there-where the old Belfleur was located. If there's absolutely no parking they offer valet at times. There's a lot of good "outlet" stores here that offer great deals on last seasons styles. I mean who really pays attention anyways. If you're taking the kids they have a few of those coin operated machines and a train ride that'll cost you $3 per rider. Took my goddaughter and niece the other day ended up spending $20. I took the deal 8 rides for $20 with 2 kids. Definitely a come up! Granted it did take a longgggg time the kids sure did have a blast. Christmas shopping is steadily approaching so I'll be frequenting this place less than usual-I hate crowds and I hate impatient customers going nuts for 50 percent off bags. Carlsbad Outlets is Great! I think this outlet center has to be one of the best in Southern California. It has the best air quality and scenery. It has a nice selection of stores and a pretty good crowd of people. The stores include the following: 1. Calvin Klein 2. Guess 3. Polo-Ralph Lauren 4. Converse 5. Addidas 6. Banana Republic 7. BCBG Max Azria 8. Ann Klein 9. Sun Diego! Several of the stores here do not just offer last years fashion, but have up to date items as well. Definitely cheaper than the mall. Plus, this outdoor setting with the cool ocean breeze is perfect for summer shopping..and, YOU SAVE! Bathrooms are always clean and there are a few snack type places and two restaurants you can eat at. I am a long time fan of these premium outlets. Here's the thing: growing up in Orange County, this outlet mall has been a bit of a staple of my childhood. I can't tell you how many times my mom made a day of it with me & my brother. It was always fun. But now that I'm an adult & can drive down there myself, I see one huge flaw...parking. I think when the outlet was first built they didn't anticipate such an increase in shoppers/cars. This area is in desperate need of a parking structure to alleviate the problem. On the last trip down there we spent over 20 minutes just trying to find a spot. It was horrible. Throw in all the other people zipping around trying to snag an opening and the lot is just ripe for accidents. So, get here early before the sea of drivers show up. Small enough to walk the whole thing but still features good stores that you actually want to go into. Scored great deals at the Gap today. My faves here are Gap, Ralph Lauren, Kenneth Cole and of course Crate & Barrel. Restrooms are clean with plenty of shopping bag hooks in the stalls. Eco-friendly as well so there are no paper towels. Plenty of dining at the outlets (Ruby's, Panda Exp, Bellefleur, Hot Dog on a Stick, Rubio's) but more dining choices just across the street (BJ's, TGI Crappies, PF Changs, Islands, Kings Fish House).
