Whoever owns this place doesn't maintain the machines. They're starting to get a mildew smell. The card readers are run down to the point where you have to have the magic touch to get it to read your card. The indicators on the buttons are worn down. AND several machines don't work. @AminaBell You're absolutely right! The female young worker popped outside like a game show host, greeting a Hispanic family and as you walked in she stopped you completely. The family proceeds to load their washer as you stood there asking to load yours. Unfair! The laundry machines are top-notch, but I've noticed many of the female staffs can be very rude. Racist banter in Spanish while roasting customers is just not cool. It's pretty gross to gossip in another language about a customer who can't understand. Employees have been extremely rude lately. I get to the laundromat at 8:40 it takes 23 minutes to wash. I get to this location and all the doors are locked I asked the employee can I wash a load she said no wash closed come back tomorrow. I know I would have been done by 10:30. Change the hours because that was a big inconvenience. I wouldn't have wasted my time going there at all if I knew last wash was before 9. read more

Since management continues to offer free dry service, I notice business has definitely picked up. It's busier on weekends, but I've come in on weekdays(am/pm), and it's still busy, not as crowded, but still busy. Not hating, but now gotta plan to come in on weekdays when it may less crowded. Another reviewer noted free dry only on Thursday's, but I'm here on a Sunday and I didn't pay for dry service, so I believe it's still avail everyday. So someone jammed up the washing machine at my apartment building. Only 6 units so who knows. Had to come here because I needed to do my laundry. The machines are nice and fancy. Prices rather high. I've been doing their wash and fold for over 2 years now. Lately, if it not Ms Sandra, my items are just not folded correctly or at all. However, today I decided to take my clothes in so I could watch the inauguration in peace. I try to stick to Tuesday or Wednesday morning for drop off so I can pick up in the afternoon. Well, today that was not the case. Not only did I drop off, prepaid of course, before 930am, my clothes were not ready at 4pm. I went back around 645pm to pick them up. When I got home to put away my laundry, there were about15 towels in my bag that did not belong to me. (I will drop them off tomorrow morning) AND 2 very nice towels of mine are missing. My last few visits, drop off every week, have been awful. I like supporting Richmond business but not at the expense of my laundry not being done correctly or have pieces missing. I've been coming here for several years and it has changed owners a couple of times that I know of. I've really been trying not to do this low star review because I've been hoping that the service the attendant provide in the morning would change. Unfortunately it hasn't . I've gone 3 times a week to wash for a few of my elderly neighbors and I can honestly say I've spent $92.25 times 3 in those 3 days. I noticed when I ask the attendant if she could start the dryer for me Please and I'd also say thank you. She would only load 9 minutes on each dryer. I use the biggest washers each time. so of course you know 9minutes isn't about to dry a large load. So I have to ask several times if she could start the dryer because the clothing isn't dry. I noticed an hispanic woman asked the attendant to start the dryer and it was put to 25minutes. I'm not sure why there's a difference although I washed more clothing than the other woman I really don't think it's fair. At first I thought nothing of it but then when I went for the second time to wash and asked her to start the dryer it happened again the same way. I got tired of asking her to start the dryer over so I use my own money. I really hope no one else is treated this way because that is really bad customer service. read more

The staff are unfriendly as well as untrustworthy. The place is new with credit card and debit cards accessible payment only. The machines are clean and new. I washed there one time and my experience was me leaving two pairs of jeans in the dryer, when I got home and noticed I called and they said that they had my jeans and that I could pick them up the next day. When I went to pick them up all of a sudden they disappeared. The woman that worked there said they were in the back and when she looked they were gone, she said they were there and had no idea what happened to them. There were new pairs of jeans. Both the staff and owner are great, the staff keeps the inside clean and most the time the parking lot is keep up depending on who working. The dryers are free for customers who wash and they also offer drop off service. If you forget something at home their sale everything you need to wash , as well as snacks. The trick to this wash house is knowing when and when not to come cause it tend to get busy quick. EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE! I have a tiny apartment washer and dryer so I've been taking my sheets and duvet covers to Laundraland. Great next-day service, and the employees are very nice and helpful. The first time I brought my laundry in, the attendant wasn't very familiar with the computer, and she only put my last name on the account. No problem, I thought! WRONG! It turns out a customer named Charlie with the same last name as mine dropped his laundry off just before me. When I came to pick up my stuff, it seems the attendant gave Charlie both his laundry AND MINE. When the owner Anthony figured out what happened, he called and explained the mistake. These reasons and the fact that it's super close to my house is the reason why I've been going to this laundromat exclusively when I wash on my own. I'm an engineer and I work 60+ hours a week so I usually send my clothes out for wash and fold back in my old neighborhood but sometimes timing just doesn't work out. Those times tend to be later in the night and holidays. On July 4th, I checked the website and facebook and they claimed "regular business hours." Last load at 9:00 pm. I get there at 8:50 pm with one standard laundry bag, to put in one large washer. Laundry card in hand and deteregent. The attendant tells me they decided to close early today at the last minute. That she talked to her boss that m Someone just put in multiple loads so I tried to persuade her but failed. When I messaged them on Facebook, they accused me of lying that they had normal hours and the last load is actually 8:50 pm. Technically they say it's 9pm but it takes people more than 10 minutes to load washers? I could understand if I came in with multiple bags but one bag? How slow do you think I am? I'm a 30-something, I don't sort - throw that all in cold water and go! Apparently, the washers will not start at 9pm. Mind you, none of this is written anywhere. And the person I was contacting claimed they were going to update the page to avoid confusion. It's been over a month and it still says 9:00 pm. Just change "last load" to 8:45 pm. I'm still giving them 2 stars because if you're available during the day and don't depend on that last load time being truthful, it's a good deal. I've been coming to this place since day one and every time I ask the attendant for her service she gives a rude response in Spanish. I messaged the business on Facebook about pricing for wash and fold and times and they said they are open until 10:30 pm, last wash at 9:00pm and if I pre-pay then it's .89 cents a pound.When I went in the morning before work to drop off my clothes the staff person was very nice but she charged me $1.10 a pound (price if you pay after pick-up) and asked me when I would get there, telling me the latest pick up time is 9pm. I work and go to school in the city, so I told her I will try but I don't think I can make it right at 9pm. I would not have chosen them if I knew this. I messaged the business on Facebook again and let them know of the miscommunication, I told them the slight overcharge wasn't a big deal, but the 9pm pick-up time versus 10:30 pm they told me before was problematic. They asked for my ticket number, and then told me that they will refund me and recharge the right price (again I was fine if they didn't) and let the attendant know I would bein a bit after 9pm. I can't say how much I appreciate them going the extra mile when they didn't have to. You have a customer for life now! read more

I live in Richmond and there are many areas or you can go and wash your clothes however I like coming to this laundromat on Carlson the machines and newer the attendant is always there not to mention the free dryers they have a variety of washers one for 350 the other one for 550 a big one for 7:50 and if you have a really big load the $10 machine they also have large dryers where you can dry your blankets and sheets in one load they also have the regular size dryer and it doesn't really cost a lot of money to wash your clothes here you don't have to worry about continually feeding the machine with quarters for five minutes you can dry your clothes for free which is a 1.25 from what I seen on the card so that 1.25 goes a long way when drying your clothes for 25 minutes and never had an issue here if in fact that it took my money there was somebody that was there to refund it or to make it right it gets pretty packed in here sometimes so you want to make sure that you arrive early and if you forget your detergent to wash your powder and bleach or laundry bag they have vending machines here they also have free WiFi if you want to just come and surf the net while you wash your clothes and they also have a drop off your clothes and weigh them in by the pound and charge you if in case you don't want to wait so come check out the washeteria on carlson it's pretty nice!! read more

So apparently the Hispanic women that works night is racist from what I witnessed. While I was waiting for my clothes to finish drying around 8:46 pm an African American woman came in with one bag, the lady working there told her she was to late and that they would be closing in 45 minutes. The women tried explaining that she only had a few things and really needed it washed. The worker told her that the machines are to shut off at 9:30 automatically so she can't allow her to use the machines because of the risk. The lady went about her night. The worker was talking smack to her daughter I'm guessing about the "black girl" her words. Around 9:15 pm a Hispanic lady came in with a few loads and the worker explained to her last wash was 9:30 and just left to clean up. I really did love this place but after witnessing this I don't think I can contribute anymore time and money into this company. read more
