    Pot roast

My waitress was so friendly. She recommended the pot roast. It was amazing!!! It was so delicious, tender and loaded with flavor, the carrots and mushrooms were amazing in it, and the mashed potatoes were outstanding! The portion was great. I also love these little rolls they served with whipped butter.. I loved it here, the ambience is very welcoming . Prices are great here too. I look forward to coming back !

We booked a 6:30 PM reservation for Thanksgiving but were left waiting until 7:00 PM to be seated. The service delays continued at the table--it took 50 minutes to get our food, and it was cold when it arrived. The serving staff seemed swamped and unsupported, so this falls on management for poor planning. It was a stressful experience rather than a relaxing holiday meal. We will not be back.

We had a delightful evening at Carlyle Grill. We had an amazing server Juan who was attentive and very detailed with our orders. We started with the fluffy hut crispy bread they serve complimentary. The entrees were cooked as ordered and as described. And the carrot cake was served warm and smothered in frosting

My choice for monthly Girls Lunch. Chicken soup flavorful. Carlyle Salad was plentiful along with the House Bread/Butter. Spinach Dip is baked and great. Calamari on a bed of veggies with dressing is incredible!! Salad with baked Salmon with Feta cheese is a MUST. Our server Jessica G is always on point with swift service. Lots of seating including a covered Patio. Parking and handicap free and plenty. Atmosphere is cozy and a separate bar area.

I can't believe this place isn't more expensive!! Our experience was fantastic. We didn't have a reservation for dinner on a Saturday, and still our wait wasn't very long, maybe 20 minutes. The place was dim, but it gave the building a cozy, upscale feel. Our server, Zack, was very attentive and friendly. They give you bread and butter to snack on while you wait, and the butter was very sweet. The food didn't take long to come out either after we ordered. My ribs literally fell off the bone. I loved my shoestring fries, fried perfectly and came with a side of ketchup. My family members ordered baked mac and cheese and various pastas, and they said the food was very diverse and flavorful. For a party of four, the bill came out to be less than $100, which I think is underpriced for the quality of food we had.

What a fantastic spot! The service was outstanding, and our bartender, Kelsey, was on point. We started with the Cold Brew Martini and followed it up with the Apple Cider--both were incredible! Overall, an amazing experience. Thank you! This place is a must-visit--nothing frozen, everything fresh!

We had another amazing dining experience with a group of 6 last night. We tried 3 of the chef specials which were all FANTASTIC! Cedar plank salmon-"perfectly cooked, really moist, honey sweet with a slight touch of chili spiciness-very flavorful". Lasagna-both men raved about the tastiness and hearty portion size and finally the wonderful Mixed grill with 3 different meat skewers, the steak being my favorite, delightful dipping sauces and tasty grilled bread and veggies. The waitress said the chef was new and trying out new things so wanted to share the immediate feedback. Would love it more if the prices were a little lower, they seem to have bumped up a bit but overall recommend.

Yes! Yes! Yes! Made a reservation on a beautiful Sunday afternoon thinking it'd be busy. However, at 2:30, there were plenty of seats in the dining area. We chose to go to the bar area (just our preference) where it was more relaxed and our scene. TVs had golf on, which was also nice. The bartender was so attentive! Made us yummy drinks and prompt on our food order. Happy hour also started at 3! For our gluten free peeps, they have GF pizza, burger buns, AND pasta!!! Can't wait to go back!

Carlyle Grill saved us on New Years Eve by seating 9 people without a reservation. We'd gone to AA to play pickleball in the afternoon - but then decided to stick around and have dinner. Someone called Carlyle and they said they could fit us in. So 5 stars right there. Service was great - our waitress was friendly, helpful and efficient. The food was really good. The spinach artichoke dip was excellent. I ordered the pappardelle with tomato cream sauce and subbed shrimp for chicken. The flavor was good - but they used cavatappi instead of pappardelle. Minor - but I don't like thick pasta. I split a ceaeser with my bf, we both enjoyed it. The bread was also a hit. It was a huge portion, I had enough for 2 more lunches at home. I think everyone else enjoyed their food too, my bf loved his pecan chicken. We were pleasantly surprised at how nice it was inside, when we called we thought we were heading to a bar. So bonus again. I also asked about Mocktails and she asked the bartender who gave me a few options. I choice a mock mojito. It was delicious and it was nice to have a fun drink with dinner that wasn't just water.

I would have given a higher star rating if it weren't for the surprise at the end our meal. The food and portions were very good. But when presented with with the bill after our meal I examined the charges and noticed an "ADMINISTRATIVE FEE" at the bottom of the bill. I called the server back and questioned the "ADMINISTRATIVE FEE". She explained that the management has added a fee to the charges to cover credit card charges for those who use credit cards/plastic to pay for the meals. I asked if this "fee is charged to everyone regardless if they pay cash or not. The server informed me that it's their practice to add on the fee to all "checks". I told her that I was paying cash and I'd like to have the "ADMINISTRATIVE FEE" removed. She took the "check " and removed the fee and brought back an adjusted bill. It would have been more acceptable to be told ahead of ordering that there's an additional fee for the convenience of using plastic when it comes to payment verses being sneaky about it and trying to slip the fee in unnoticed. To all who patronize Carlyle Grill, buyer beware! Check your itemized bill prior to paying and either bring your hard earned cash with you, go somewhere else, or realize that the convenience of your plastic card comes at a cost.

Carlyle Grill is a go-to stop for outdoor Happy Hour, good drinks and food. Their French onion soup is top notch. A meal in a bowl. Don't pass up the chips and salsa. My sister likes the Caesar salad with grilled shrimp. The burgers are really good and don't pass up the chef feature. It's usually very good. Service kicks butt whether you're in the bar or dining room. We tend to visit the bar. Trace, Shane and Kelsey hustle for their patrons. It's a great neighborhood spot.

Really enjoyed dinner at Carlyle Grill! Started with the Shrimp Cakes appetizer, which were somewhat like crab cakes but with big juicy whole shrimps. These exceeded expectations! Generous amount of shrimp, well seasoned potato/vegetable batter, very tasty. Served on a bed of spinach to feel ~healthier :). Half rack of ribs was really big, very tasty! Though some small parts of the rib rack were a little overcooked/tougher, overall this was yummy and tender. Side of mac and cheese was WAY bigger than expected, and so decadently cheesy with a crispy cheese layer on the bottom AND broiled cheese on top. Greek salad was also huge and good! Overall, very filling and decent value with the portion sizes. We left very full and with plenty of leftovers.

Definitely one of the top 5 restaurants in Ann Arbor. Only reason they did not get 5 star is you don't get bread with take out.

It took several attempts because the phone just kept ringing before someone finally answered. Perhaps they could benefit using an online reservation service like OpenTable. The restaurant is charming, with the feel of a cozy house and a beautiful outdoor patio. We shared the calamari, smoked whitefish dip, and Brussels sprouts. The Brussels sprouts were the star--perfectly roasted, not mushy, and coated in a yummy sweet sauce. I'd come back just for those! The Wild Blossom Martini was also refreshing and delicious. I ordered the scallops. They were cooked perfectly, but the dish didn't quite come together for me. The "avocado relish" was more like scoops of guacamole, and the white cheddar grits were served as a cake. I think a vegetable succotash would have made the dish much more balanced. For dessert, we shared the Mexican chocolate pot de crème, beignets, and a strawberry dessert that wasn't listed on the website. The pot de crème and beignets were both delicious. Overall, the service was good, the atmosphere was lovely, and the food was enjoyable. A few small improvements would make it even better, but I'd definitely return the next time I'm in Ann Arbor.

Service was excellent and attentive! I enjoyed the bread service, roadhouse simple salad, French fries, chicken basket with cole slaw and mashed potatoes, and a strawberry specialty cocktail. The breading on the fried chicken was perfection, and the bread AS ALWAYS was delicious. The mashed potatoes and gravy were probably the best I've ever had at a restaurant. Absolutely holiday home style with great texture. Downsides: too many assorted flying insects on the patio, the pimiento cheese was nearly flavorless, fries were underdone for my liking, and pricing too high and portions too small for the chicken basket.

The food was great 17 years ago when I got three meats and two sides for $11:99 or add Mac n cheese for $15.99. Now at $32 with tip and just water, the smoked bbq pulled beef sandwich was just ok, not a big portion by any means and they do not leave the sauces so whatever is on your sandwich is it. The entree came with fries small portion and a Cole slaw. At these prices, I think, I am done with the roadhouse.

My first visit was for brunch, and it completely won me over. The buffet had a wonderful variety of food, the mimosas and cocktails were delicious, and for the quality, variety, and service you get, the price point is very fair. I left thoroughly impressed. I came back for lunch excited to experience it again, and while the staff was just as warm and the environment just as great, however, this time the lunch menu didn't quite live up to my expectations. They offer salads, sandwiches, mac and cheese and similar American-style comfort food, which is totally fine, but for a restaurant of this caliber I was hoping for something a little more exciting. I ended up ordering a salad with added shrimp, which was absolutely delicious, and a pomegranate rosemary lemonade that was incredibly refreshing - perfect for a summer day-. But if you're not in the mood for sandwiches, salads, or mac and cheese, your options are pretty limited. My suggestion: keep doing everything you're doing because the hospitality and atmosphere are truly special, but consider expanding the lunch and dinner menu for those looking for a heartier or more diverse meal.
