I contacted - Nate them in-regards of a vehicle, they had transferred in a vehicle and it took over1 1/2 weeks to get there when it was 45 minutes away. Then I contacted him and stated I would be there after 5. He replied back and said he was having another appointment so he would give me on to another salesmen _ Nwa (i wanna say) . I told him I wanted to take the vehicle to a mechanic and the other salesmen sold me I have 30 minutes to take it to someone. They told me I would have 5 days to have someone look over it, I would rather not run my credit just to see if the vehicle is worth my times. This is a first I have ever heard! Out of 5 other dealerships I looked into had no problem when me taking it to someone to look over, as long as the vehicle was back within 24hours. Poor quality of work by their service department. Terrible experience and advise against using their service department. I test drove a 2017 car that I wanted to buy. Noticed the wheels were visibly scratched and damaged. The salesman said car max would restore them for me and gave me an IOU to their service dept. After purchasing my car I took it in and the service dept associate and manager inspected my car and scheduled the repair. I had very high expectations because the associate said if I wasn't completely satisfied with the work of them. repairing and painting the wheels they would Order new ones for me. They did not honour that offer. Very long story short they sloppily painted the rims. They look painted and not within the lines and also spray painted portions of the tires. A manager never returned my call when I complained about the work. I was left a voicemail message from an associate with a negative tone asking for an email picture of the tires. I left a message asking for the email address and never heard back. Very unprofessional job all the way around. Update: a year later am happy with my car - other than the cheap tires I replaced and poor looking rims I've loved my Volvo. read more

This review is for getting my car appraised. I had a hard time finding this location but once I was there I thought it was huge. As entering the building I was greeted right away by Peter. I explained what I was needing and I was taken back immediately. Peter explained everything in great detail. I thought the facility was very clean. He told me they only keep 2006 vehicles and up. I've bought 3 cars from CarMax Parker, and had nothing but great experiences with them in the in the past (especially the service department), however I bought a Jeep from the 6 months ago, and have had nothing but problems with it. The car was hit during shipping, which broke the back bumper and exhaust, which they tried to tell me did not happen during the 90 days warranty that are on their checklist for things they are supposed to check before selling a car. They refuse to show me any proof that my car was even inspected, and I'm very displeased with how much their customer service has gone downhill over the past few years. They like to say you can return it within 30 days, however once they have done a hard pull on your credit, it's very inconvenient to return the car. They don't allow you to have your own mechanic to look at the cars without purchasing. I recommend not buying any lemon cars from them because it will ruin your credit unless you get lucky and don't get a lemon! I've learned my lesson and will definitely be buying from a dealer from from a dealer from now on. read more

I bought a Lexus RX350 from this Carmax less than a year ago. I love the car, however over the last several months the brakes started pulsating worse and worse. I finally took it to both the Lexus dealership and Brake Plus. Both said the brake pads were put on but the rotors weren't replaced or machines at that time. So the rotors needed to be replaced. Unfortunately since this didn't become a problem within the 30 day warranty time frame Carmax wouldn't do anything about it. It would have been nice if they replaced the rotors or at least machined them (or even checked them) before the car was sold to me. read more

One of the worst car buying experiences of my life. My salesman was late, they gave me under Kelley blue book value, they misfiled my paperwork with the DMV and failed to notify me of their mistake. Now that my temp tags are ready to expire, they refuse to assist me in anyway. I have left messages, I have responded to their survey requests complaining about the process, no one has once returned my phone calls or responded to the poor survey. Normally, the thought of having to buy a car makes me cringe, especially a used car. Carmax has turned the used car buying model on its head. At each turn, I expected trickery, games, and everything else usually associated with buying a used car. That was not the case with Carmax. Facts and a timeline to simplify: 1) Contacted Carmax on 5/5 to have a car delivered "free" 2) Was told it can take up to 21 days. But they would ship it that next Monday....it was just a policy and thing they had to tell you. 3) After asking when it would be delivered multiple times (3x) I was finally told the 25th (20 days). 4) After asking what time I got NO response asking for 3 days in a row (I was asking for time off work) 5) Day before I called some random sales rep about it and found out it was never shipped and wasn't scheduled to ship! Are you serious! 6) Sales rep said sorry and got off the phone. Not even an offer of a remedy. 7) I will buy a car. I will not buy it from the Parker Carmax location. And it's a bummer because I really wanted that car. But I will live with a different one and not buy it from a dealer that can't even e-mail or comprehend basic customer service. Looking for my perfect vehicle, I wound up crossing paths with Spencer Miller at CarMax of Parker. They only sell used vehicles, so I knew it would be tough to find the feature set and options I was looking for. Regardless, Spencer continued to hunt, and hunt, and hunt for the vehicle. Before I ever thought he'd forgotten about me, he'd shoot me over an email with some new options listed. Didn't end up finding the right vehicle through him, but I loved his approach. I would like to direct you to the car listing on the Carmax website. Stock number 20191392. If you look at this listing, it shows the drive type as 2WD, Front Wheel Drive. Now, I will tell you that I found this listing online on Sunday, so I didn't have anyone to chat with to get exactly what that meant, so I assumed that it actually meant Front Wheel Drive. I mean, why wouldn't I, since I live in Colorado. It stands to reason that most cars sold in CO are either Front Wheel Drive or 4 Wheel Drive. Not so at Carmax. I would say Carmax Parker, but it seems it doesn't matter which Carmax you go to. They seem to believe that most people drive Rear Wheel Drive here, because I went to the one on Broadway Blvd. in Littleton over the weekend, and their inventory is exactly the same. The majority of the sedan inventory in both lots was Rear Wheel Drive? What the heck???? The posting says FWD, which is why I drove from Highlands Ranch, CO to Parker, CO to purchase this car. When I found it is was RWD, all the dealer could offer was, "we can transfer any vehicle in the Carmax inventory west of the Mississippi". Well isn't that just extra special! Can you beam one over, because I wanted to buy a car tonight, not in a week or two (or longer because for some reason driving a truck across country is a COVID super spreader). It just really frosts my Wheaties when there is no remorse or responsibility taken by these companies when you point out misleading information. We made an appointment to test drive a car, arrived early to the appointment to check in, and forty minutes later still nobody became available to help us so we left. The lady sitting next to us had waited 1.5 hours already just to sign a piece of paper. No respect. They should really work on their scheduling to avoid losing customers. This review is about a buying and selling transaction with CarMax. On their website, I found a car that I wanted to see and was able to do a Free Hold from their website and set up an appointment. Juliana called me first thing the next morning to confirm my appointment and confirmed that the vehicle was there. First gold star! We were a little late for our appointment but only had to wait about 5 minutes. Stephen, our sales consultant, had our information and brought the car up. In the meantime, he started the appraisal for our trade-in. Second gold star! When we got back from the test drive, the appraisal was back, which was right in line with what I wanted it to appraise for and so we went forward with the transaction. Never did we feel pressured in to making any kind of hard decision. Third gold star! All-in-all, we are extremely happy with this CarMax and would highly recommend them! read more

Easiest and most painless car buying experience I have ever had. No "back room dealings" where they try to screw you behind closed doors. Every step was transparent. I sat with the salesperson at the computer as both the trade-in appraisal and the finance offers came in. Both the price for my new car and the trade-in offer were within Kelley Blue Book ranges. I got over $1,000 more for my trade than what AutoNation offered the day before. I got pre-approved for a loan through Capital One and that also made the process very smooth. SELLER'S BEWARE! Went to CarMax to sell my car and they gave me a fair to good price for the car. Decided to sleep on it and came back a day later to make the sale. When I went to sign the paperwork to sell the vehicle, the negative equity I had in the car magically increased by $50 over what I was quote an hour prior to signing the paperwork. Prior to coming back to CarMax, I had received a 10 day payoff amount from my lender with a price of $2.46 per day after for everyday after the 10 days. When I challenged CarMax about the additional $50, they told me it was the additional amount quoted by my bank for adding 12 additional days to the payoff quote (i.e. 12 additional days after the the 10 day payoff). I am not the smartest person in the world, but $2.46 per day times 12 days does not equal $50 (it's $29.52). When I questioned Jimmy, the person handling my paperwork, about the difference, he looked at me and asked me if I wanted to sell the car or not, rather than actually explaining where the $50 really came from. When I stated that the math didn't add up, he barked at me and said that he wasn't IGNORANT and again asked if I wanted to sell the car or not. $50 is not that big of a deal in the end, but the lies and piss poor customer service ruined this experience. I hope CarMax and Jimmy are happy with the extra $50 they made, as they have LOST a customer for life over that $50! read more

First of all I would like to say that I'm a disabled veteran and a student at the University of Colorado Denver. I served our country and I'm proud to say so. I purchased my last two cars from Carmax. The first time was a great experience for it was at the Carmax in Tucson AZ. I was impressed. The Carmax at the Parker location was a different story. It started off great, Julienna Seto did great allowing me to test drive the car that I wanted to take home. I applaud her customer service skills. It was going well till the second guy came in and took over. He wasted my time, about two hours of it when he told me to tell USAA the wrong numbers which messed up my experience with Carmax. I then had to get my piece of junk Chevy Cruse repaired because I wasn't informed of the extended warranty. So I was forced to pay for a rental car at Enterprise...which they should have paid for since the 2013 Chevy cruise was theirs in the first place. I'm still waiting on the car repairs which are being taken care of at Extreme Auto. I was informed that I would have to pay for the transmission and brakes as well. I mean it was their car and their salesman failed to inform me of the benefits or lack of benefits of the warranty. Carmax should pay for the repairs since my vehicle is still on the extended warranty. It's a ridiculous situation and other people trying to purchase a vehicle from Carmax in Parker should be informed of this. I contacted Carmax on Saturday and I still haven't heard from him/her. Terrible customer service. This is no way to treat a repeat customer especially a veteran of our country. Perhaps if the service manager or someone from the main office contacts me and makes this right then I will erase this review. Till then this is staying posted for everyone to see. Thanks for nothing Carmax, you all need to retrain your salesmen at your Parker location or you will regret it. Worst customer service ever!!CarMax lacks integrity. As a customer I have been lied to and completely deceived by this dealership. After my purchase in October I was under the impression that this was a sound car, only to find out it was used junk! After several trips to the service department I have been told everything was normal. I was advised the problem would be resolved after they did a transmission service/flush and sparkplug replacement. I did not notice any difference in vehicle performance afterward. However, two months later I had a basic oil change service done with a competitor, only to be told that this transmission oil exchange had not happened. The transmission oil looked black and smelt burnt, and still needed to be replaced. The car continues to this day to shutter when shifting, getting worse. UNSAFE! After consulting with the service manager and being talking down to in a condescending way, nothing is being done to address the issue. I informed the sales department that I no longer want this vehicle. They make minimal effort to find a potential replacement. I instead have to locate a vehicle on my own after their failed attempt, by locating one in the state of Florida at another Carmax dealership. Carmax ships this vehicle that is listed as an AWD, to dealership in Colorado. On a hunch I run the Vin through Carfax website only to find out that Carmax falsely represented this vehicle as 4WD which in fact it is only 2 WD. Once again I was lied to. CarMax says they are different from other dealerships but that is completely understand true read more

Definitely not worth the 20 minute drive from south East centennial and not worth waiting 30 minutes to get my vehicle appraised for way under the book. I understand it's a business and they have to make money but it was not even a reasonable offer. Had some kid appraise my vehicle and claimed my off-road bumper was welded to my frame which it clearly was not... it was bolted on with a bracket....! The appraiser clearly did not know how to drive a manual.... clearly stated he wasn't comfortable driving jeeps yet especially a manual.... he claimed that he would rather drive in 2wd on the icy roads.... my logic compared to his was way far apart.... kid burned my clutch and did not stop at stop signs on the test drive... he did a rolling stop... I thought he wasn't stopping but turns out he still wasn't comfortable with driving a Jeep 6speed!! Just a big slap in the face and waste of time. I understand a dealership also has to make money but at least be reasonable not 4 grand under the book! Also if you do go to get appraised get someone that clearly knows how to drive a manual and clearly knows what's welded to something and what's factory and what's not! read more

Brutal credit customer service where other dealers shop hundreds of finance companies. If I did not have to have a car that night I would have not bought it. read more

I purchased a 2015 BMW X5 with just over 15k miles - still had the new car smell and was in great shape - a rare find with such low miles and like new condition! The vehicle was transferred at no charge to me from a location that was about 60 miles away from home. I was overall impressed with the quality of the vehicle and the no pressure to buy approach. Financing approval was a breeze. I give CarMax a 4/5 stars for a few reasons; would like them to negotiate on their pricing and trade-ins - their policy is true to their word NO HAGGLE, cars should be clean and detailed before presenting to potential buyers, sales staff should be knowledgeable of the cars they are selling. I was buying a newer model of the same vehicle and I would've appreciated the salesman pointing out some of the updated features. read more

This is the worst. I know I am a young girl but that doesn't mean you need to screw me over. I bought a 2011 volkswagon Tiguan. At first it seemed nice. Then I noticed little things wrong with it. Like the windshield wipers were old and one of the front lights went out. Then about a month after I got it the check engine light came on. I guess they decided to sell me a car that had a bad fuel pump on it (which I guess is making the transmission go bad and messing up the whole engine). So I brought it in to them in hopes that they would help and fix it. That didn't really happen. They told me it was safe to drive for a week until they could even have time to look at it. So I went with it. About two days after that the car started to randomly stop in the middle of the road and then it just stopped turning on. When I finally got it to them I asked if I could just sell it back since this is how it was sold to me. I bought the car for $13,000 and they offered me $3,000 their best advice was for me to fix everything on the car and then sell it back. I just don't think it is fair since I just bought the car! My advice. If you buy a car from them take it to a mechanic immediately and have it checked out because in the first 5 days you can take the car back for a full refund. I fully regret not doing this. read more

If looking to buy they are fairly priced in the market and the sales personnel are friendly. However, if you are looking to sell or trade in your vehicle then suggest you go elsewhere. Offer I received was 12% lower than the lowest offer I had received from 6 dealers and 20% below the highest one. Even this would not compell me to write a review, however they will not give you the trade in offer unless you travel to the dealership. If I had know ahead of time (like other dealers) the low ball offer I could have saved two hours and looked elsewhere. Waste of my time and the sales persons. read more

Very disappointed with their service department and would never recommend using them for any services after you have purchased your vehicle. My 1-year maintenance was treated as an oil change and tire rotation and although it explicitly states this includes additional services, I can confirm that at least 3 of them were for sure not completed. If I can confirm that 3 were not done, who is to say that the others were maintenance checks were completed? I found the checklist for this maintenance on my dash with nothing marked off. Either this is a duplicate, or quite simply the Technician was lazy and indeed only did an oil change and tire rotation. Why on earth would I spend over $200 on a simple oil change and tire rotation? No one will call me back and rather than demand a refund or make a fuss in their office, I have decided to use my experience as a lesson learned and to advise others looking for service to look elsewhere. This place is terrible for servicing a vehicle. read more
