Carmax was going to buy this car so don't think they won't buy a damaged car.

Had a great experience with Dominic in selling my car and him helping us with a new one. I highly recommend carmax. We have sold a couple of cars here and it was a great experience. Shout out to Dominic for your service!

My daughter was relocating to Florida and needed to sell her vehicle. I had heard good stories from other acquaintances who had sold their vehicles through CarMax, so I suggested she give them a call. After doing a little research on their website and submitted her information, she received a text message that prompted her to enter the vehicle information and to upload photos. She quickly completed the application and received an immediate offer from CarMax. The price was very reasonable and we were impressed. My daughter decided to shop around and received a slightly higher offer from the Honda dealership in Vancouver and she wanted to get a second opinion , however after going there the salesman informed her that they couldn't give her that amount and offered an amount about $5000 less than the quoted amount. We quickly went back to CarMax and they honored their quote. The process was seamless and they even paid off the remaining balance on her car loan. Overall it was a great experience!!!

Came in to sell my 2016 Toyota Tacoma to them. The entire process took about 30 mins. The guy take pics of the truck and tests drives it. Then get on the phone with someone to discuss the price they are gonna pay me. They offered me $29k for the truck and the offer is good for 7 days. I immediately went over to Vancouver Toyota and they offered me $32,500. Don't think this place give you good deals because they don't. Be sure to look elsewhere before taking their lowball offer for your vehicle. That being said, they do have a good selection of used vehicles on their lot though and the staff is very friendly.

This was a little to easy, I found a suv hybrid that would work for me. However it was at a CarMax in the Seattle area, that would have been a long drive. With CarMax I was able to reserve it, and have it transferred down to the Vancouver location. It was there in like 2 days. I had my trade appraised online, and was happy to see they were offering me 10% more than any other dealership. I also applied for financing online, and was approved for a better interest rate, than my Credit Union was offering. This all seem to good to be true. Showed up for my appointment about a hour and half early. Didn't have to wait long. Took the car out in a test drive. Decided it was in fact what I was looking for. They verified my trade, and nice, they gave me the same amount that they told me online that o would get. It's interesting, this type of dealership, they asked me if I wanted service plans, it was a yes or no question. No pressure at all. Since Kia is a 23 with less than 3K moles on it, I opted out, as it still has the factory warranty. It was pretty quick, less than 2 hours in house from arrival, to leaving. I like this hassle free way of making a purchase. And I very much like the fact, if they don't have in stock what you are looking for, there is a good chance, they have it transferred in for no extra fees, or commitment. Now granted if it is really far away, they will charge for a transfer.

Brandon told me that there was a titling delay and basically saying that I will get it when you get it and TS. otherwise. I cannot sell it nor legally drive it in the state of Oregon until this has been resolved. Do not buy from this guy, he is dishonest and prideful and there is absolutely no customer service after the sale. Brandon stated to me that 99% of the cars that he sales do not come with title-in-hand, so is it worth the hassle of not knowing ? -Updated info says that there will be a sixty day delay in receiving my title and I cannot sell it or legally drive it in Oregon (A licensed dealer cannot legally sell a car without the title in hand, as it's often a violation of state law and consumer protection, but it happens due to processing delays (like bank payoffs or out-of-state transfers). While some states allow temporary sales with proper documentation (like a Power of Attorney or surety bond), selling without a title risks significant penalties for the dealer (fines, license loss) and leaves the buyer unable to register the car, leading to potential fraud claims and legal action against the dealer.) I am following this up by filing a complaint with the Oregon state DMV fraud division and The Oregon State Attorneys consumer fraud desk.

If you value your time, your wallet, or your sanity, stay far away from Vancouver Toyota. Lack of Expertise For a dealership, their lack of basic automotive knowledge is staggering. I went in with specific concerns, and it felt like I was explaining vehicle mechanics to people who had never seen an engine before. They are quick to suggest expensive "fixes" without actually diagnosing the root cause. It's clear they prioritize sales over actual mechanical competence. Management Issues The leadership here is where the real problems start: * Chance (Manager): I have never encountered a manager so unprofessional. Chance is an absolute bully who defaults to being rude and condescending the moment you ask a follow-up question. Instead of de-escalating issues, he uses intimidation tactics to shut customers down. * Lori (Customer Relations Manager): You'd think the person in charge of "relations" would have a shred of empathy, but Lori was even worse. She talks down to customers like they're a nuisance. During our interaction, it was painfully obvious she was more concerned about clocking out and getting off work than actually resolving my problem. Final Verdict The culture here is toxic. From the service bay to the front office, there is a complete disregard for customer care. They don't want to help you; they just want you to pay up and go away so they can go home. Save yourself the headache--go literally anywhere else.
