The food isn't too salty and tastes pretty health conscious so I really enjoy this place. The two young ladies are always very polite and very sweet. Great little cafe! Lots of parking and the cafe itself is pretty easy to spot, just look for the super cute store front. Inside is really clean and inviting with tables and booths to sit at. There's even some games and free wifi here, a great spot to study if you want somewhere quiet to have coffee and quick meal. I had the clam chowder and avocado toast and both were very tasty. You could tell everything was fresh, and the portion size very generous. The variety of the menu is awesome, and I'm sure you could find something to fit any craving. A new friend of mine told me of this cafe in Brea. I wanted to support local businesses and I am a fan of Desserts. I pre-ordered 2 dozen of macaroons (matcha and strawberry flavored) and 6 assorted mini cheesecakes. When I picked it up, they had Baymax on the box because they saw that I love Baymax from my icon in my email! What an amazing personal touch to the box! They also added dry ice in the bag at the bottom in a plastic bag for the cheesecakes. These macaroons were amazing! In the strawberry macaroons there is a surprise of strawberry jam in the buttercream which adds this amazing flavor you were not expecting. They add so much buttercream in the middle which is sooo yummy. The mini cheesecakes are BOMB AS F! No words can express how much I love them. When we got there, the place is so cute and cozy. The family who owns the business are super sweet and very friendly which makes the experience at the cafe much more homey feel. We ordered food since it was during lunch time. We got the chicken pesto panini on French roll and the pastrami panini on French roll. It was amazing! It was crispy and the filling was perfect. Was enough that you didn't feel it was too less or too small. They also add a small scoop of homemade potato salad, which to me was a tease. Such a cute coffee & breakfast spot! Came here early morning before getting our taxes done for a quick bite. First of all, WOW!!! The egg sandwich on a croissant was TO DIE FOR!!!! It was freshly made and the aioli sauce was delicious. My husband got their breakfast burrito with sausage and bacon and he enjoyed it!!! I can't even begin to express how much I love this little cafe! Every time I visit them, I am blown away by how friendly they are, and their food is truly delicious. I preferred with the sausage, but that's just cuz I like sausage better than bacon. I'm not really a breakfast person, so the fact that this was my first try here and it is still the item that makes me crave this spot speaks for itself. Turkey & cheddar - I got this on a croissant, you can pick whatever bread you'd like, and I substituted the Mayo & mustard for the Chipotle aioli, because again, it is killer! If you don't get it on your sandwich, at least try it on the side. The sandwich was very good, the turkey was moist, not dry like turkey can sometimes be, and all the ingredients were balanced perfectly. Came with small side of their pasta salad which is made with balsamic vinegar and was so good I was wondering if I could recreate it at home myself, but I'm sure it wouldn't be as good as theirs. I will definitely get this again! I have also had a wrap and salad, they were very good also but I don't remember exactly which ones I got. So far I haven't gotten anything here that I didn't like. Top of the morning! This small quaint little breakfast joint is located in a business center next to auto shop and a medical office. During COVID they are faithfully open for takeout and usually open from 8am to around 2pm. The menu ranges from pastries to paninis to sandwiches and they even make cakes! Ordered the pesto grilled cheese, breakfast sandwich on a French roll and mini cheesecake. The food here hits the spot. The food is not too heavy making you feel sleepy for the rest of the day, but provided a good amount of sustenance to tackle the day. Sandwiches here have an upgraded homemade feel and the composition of these delectables are clean. The Breakfast sandwich was toasted nicely with a fluffy egg, bacon, tomatoes, there special aioli with cheese and sprouts. The sprouts were money for me. The pesto grilled cheese was crunchy on each bite packed with its flavor. The cute little cheesecake was delicious and I could probably eat 5 more of those. The service here is nice and the workers are very sweet and cordial. A good way to start the morning with friendly personable people. Ordered on the phone ahead of time and it was ready for my pick up request time. I was very impressed with the food (having owned a restaurant makes me particular) quality and quantity. Delicious describes it to a tee. I had the Chicken Pesto on Sourdough and it was the best Panini I've every eaten. All of the ingredients were top quality and literally melted in my mouth! The pasta salad that was served on the side had the best dressing I think I've ever tasted on cold pasta. My sister had the chicken walnut salad, full of apple, raisins, croutons and chicken cooked perfectly (those are her words!). So full we had to stave off the yummy cup cakes until later in the day, but believe me, the icing is worth the calories!!! Carmel Cafe is a cute family-owned restaurant tucked away among industrial buildings in Brea off Imperial Highway. My partner and I ordered some food for pick up/to go during the first few weeks of shelter in place, which brought some much needed warmth and comfort into our lives. We wanted to try a variety of things on their menu, so over the course of two weeks, we ordered: the pesto avocado toast with egg, avocado ranch chicken wrap, buffalo chicken quesadilla, walnut chicken salad, a tiramisu, their cream of potato soup of the day, their honey vanilla latte, and lychee peach tea. While all the food was wonderful, the stand out dishes for my partner and I were the tiramisu, honey vanilla latte, and avocado toast with egg. I'm not much of a bread person, but I thought the toast was well balanced with flavor and texture and 10/10 would buy again. We also loved the tiramisu and highly recommend checking out their fresh baked goods. (They also do custom cakes!) The food and service brought such warmth and comfort to our lives during this time and we look forward to seeing this cafe grow in the future. Highly recommend! read more

Food: we ordered the pesto avocado toast on squaw bread, sausage burrito, grilled cheese, cream cheese and strawberry strudels, and a honey vanilla latte with oat milk. I will probably go with wheat instead of squaw for the avocado toast. It was my first time trying squaw so I would have preferred something not sweet. The burrito did not make you feel like you are carrying a food baby after - not oily at all. They ran out of croissants but the strudels were a nice substitute. I'll have to try every other flavor they have for their lattes because I loved theirs! Service: We only do takeout when we want to eat out, and the person on the phone sounded so welcoming and mindful of what I was ordering. One of the most pleasant orders I've had in a while! The young gal who helped me was very pleasant and very accommodating. I ordered cookies last minute and she made them fresh and had them ready for me at my pick up time. I bought them to give as a gift so I can't speak for how good they were. I also bought potato salad for myself and it was very good. I would buy it again.
