The ducts were cleaned from inside and in the crawl space so every inch got cleaned. The furnace was completely taken apart, cleaned, and evaluated. Our dryer vent line was also thoroughly cleaned from inside and below, an old non-functional booster fan was removed and new pipe installed. Our dryer now actually works! And our home is much safer and cleaner because of their attention to details. All the right tools, down to an earth friendly cleaner. Afterwards they put everything back in it's place right down to coiling the garden hose! Can't recommend them enough. read more

This is a great family run business. We hired them to clean the ducts and discovered everything was disconnected in the sub basement. A wild creature got in and torn the pipes out. They juggled their schedule around, install new ducts and got the heat running within 3 days. Just in time for Thanksgiving. The crew are well trained and run a clean job site. The new ducts are great and the house heats up fast and even. Working with a family run business has advantages that a big company can't match. We had them replace the HVAC system in another house. After purchasing my forever home, I needed to replace my ancient gravity furnace. I am a Trane guy to my heart. After talking to two Trane installers, I decided to get the Carrier's guy's opinion. After those two unremarkable Trane consults, Juan from Carol Flynn saw my vision and didn't try to sell me what he thought was best. He gave me suggestions, looked at my house, and saw its potential. By the end of the consult, I had found my guy. I replaced my gravity furnace with a Carrier HVAC duel fuel system (heat pump and gas furnace) and all my ductwork. One of Juan's sons, Marco, ran point on my job, and I couldn't have been in better hands. I am a fan of all things construction, and it was fun talking to Marco about HVAC systems. I had a 4-zone system installed, and I don't know how Marco climbed into that very tight attic and installed those Alumaflex ducts. Their customer service was outstanding. 2 years over due!! Carol Flynn put a heat pump in our San Bruno home in July of 2022. I apologize about this being done so long after the fact. They were not the cheapest bid but the quality of work is excellent. In addition they replaced all of our ducts. Everyone who worked on our project was professional and had excellent skills. It is amazing how a correctly sized modern furnace can make a home so much more comfortable. Juan was very courteous and patient. There was a programming issue with the thermostat initially. Thank you for fixing our Carrier Infinity AC issue that we have been dealing with for at least a year. We hired a different contractor first, and all they said was I needed to change my filter. It didn't work and I called them back for a second time. They gave me the same "diagnosis". Nope, the problem came back again. So I called up Carol Flynn. Luis spent 1.5 hours looking at everything - looking at the compressor outside of the house and climbing to the attic to check out the furnace and ductwork. He couldn't figured it out at the time (other than noticing some blockage in the system), but promised to take the data back and call up Carrier tech support to see how to fix it. He came back a couple weeks later and got it fixed! I couldn't be happier. We were grateful that Luis admitted to not knowing what was going on during his first visit - we appreciated his honestly, and his effort on following up and eventually getting it sorted out and fixed. So I finally got HVAC installed/updated, albeit 2 years later. I would like to start by saying the entire crew that came out was 5 star - which consisted of Edi, Luis, Marco and Anthony. Very nice guys who seemed to really enjoy the work they do and have fun at is as well. Impeccably clean, i think my garage was actually cleaner when they were done than when they started and excellent with communicating when things were going to happen (shut off of gas, install of wall thermostat etc etc) As a side note that has nothing to do with Carol Flynn - the system is great but the thermostat and the app are pretty horrible. just look in your phones app store at the reviews most give it 1-1.5 stars with the inconsistency and lack of programmability/options. For instance, I can't tell the system that I go to bed past 11:30 PM. Any overnight schedules that I want to set are wake up ones. Just odd all around - again furnace and air conditioner are great, but the app/usability/functionality of the thermostat = terrible. And again not Carol Flynn's fault. IF you can get Carol Flynn to respond and communicate with the office and actually get responses/booked I think you'll have a great experience. Their pricing is superior by FAR to others who were quoting me 80% efficient systems at nearly the same cost as the 98% system I got. I would've given them 5 stars had i not waited so long but bygones be bygones. A big thank you especially to the crew. read more

Very impressive customer service. They came highly recommended to us from a different vendor that was not able to service our needs. We are sure happy they came to visit. When i first called it seemed they they were booked for about 2 weeks but as time passed they called me twice and each time they reschedule to come EARLIER than originally planned. Amazing!! The technician was extremely polite and respectful of the property. He figured out and solved the issue in very short time. We had some misunderstanding on how the bill could have been paid but management promptly stepped in and clarified everything. A gaggle of workers got my 2-unit Carrier split system installed in just 2 days -- exactly where I wanted everything. The outdoor condenser is by the side of my house and piping was run through the exterior wall of my bedroom and through the attic to get to my TV room. They had to move a few things to get the pipes in the right place but put everything back where it belongs. They put down drop clause and wore booties over their shoes every time they came into the house. read more

We had Carol Flynn install an all new high efficiency heat pump system to replace our old gas furnace. They were very professional, responsive, and did a great job installing it. It has worked like a charm, with a single problem that one of the thermostats ended up being placed where morning light shines on it, messing up the temperature measurement (not something I would have expected them to catch). When I called Ricky back, we said he'd do his best to fit me in on Monday afternoon between 1pm and 4pm. Ricky called me at 12:45pm and said he was on his way. Carol Flynn installed and maintained central air ~ 20 years ago in two properties. ~10 years ago I did a major remodel and the contractor included a furnace. Boy do I wish I had insisted on getting Carol Flynn to do the furnace and hvac during the remodel. I didn't -and last year Carol Flynn came in and fixed all the issues from the contractor. Ricky, Luis, Marco especially did a great job staying safe, being direct, no nonsense and professional getting my furnace where it needed to be and in the proper shape! - the other 20 year old one is still going great! From the first contact to the job finish, I have nothing bad to say about these guys. Professional, and took the time to do the job right. Yes, they initially said 2 days to replace my furnace (circa 1978) and install a new A/C, and it ended up taking 3 days; but I noticed they weren't sitting around, and really took the time and care to do things right. I'd much rather have that than a 2-day install, just to call them back again later because something's not working right. Before they went home every night, they cleaned up the work areas, and made sure my questions were answered. The best part of it all was when the city came by for the inspection. I had a good experience with Carol Flynn Heating and Cooling. I made an appointment by phone, the estimation was by phone and the cleaning was set. The cleaner came, was prompt and got started. I am utterly convinced that the furnace I have in my rented home had never been cleaned since installed sometime between 1950-1980. The furnace, ducts and returns were absolutely disgusting with mold. They even found kitty litter in one of the returns. Gross doesn't begin to describe this job, and it took well over 4 hours to clean the entire system. Although they did a great job, found a potentially dangerous condition/carbon monoxide leak and brought it to my attention requiring the landlord to replace my furnace, I was a little taken aback by the overly chatty employee. I was home to work that day, not chat with the service guy, but he kept repeatedly interrupting me about issues unrelated to the cleaning. If I need to have them back in a year or 2, I will ask for another person, but I would recommend them anyway and found them reasonable. Our thermostat went blank! No way to turn on the furnace, hey-it's getting cold now! We choose them because of the sticker on our furnace. I guess the previous owners got it from them. Well, turns out it is still under warranty and he installed a new thermostat that day- free of charge. Great, great service by Luis from Carol Flynn Heating. Made a call midday after our furnace went completely dead the night before. Tried all the usual things that we would all try without really knowing what would work .. let's face it .. a 25-year old furnace is not like one of the easy to use tech devices we throw about. Luis showed up at the end of the day and was extremely courteous, knowledgeable and open with the options. He was able to get our furnace back up and running very quickly. He was very honest that he wasn't able to specifically diagnose why the furnace went out (believe the cause was a stuck gas valve); that honesty just puts a 6-star on this review. I was blown away with how great they were from my first call to them till the furnace was installed down to them answering every question with knowledge REAL customer service that is so rare these days. I am still kind of in a state of WOW from the whole experience. A fella named Sal answered the phone and was very professional and friendly. He sent out out a fella named Jason who was just as awesome and gave me an estimate. The installers were amazing (I was not home the day they installed or I would give you their names. My Mother stayed at the house for me so I did not have to miss work and she said they were amazing, and her standards are even tougher than mine) and answered all my Mothers questions on the day of installation. The estimate was right on, the price exteremly fair (I did my homework), Sal, and Jason (whom I interacted with) were great (I give them an A+ on customer service, and per my Mother the installers were fantastic, friendly, knowledgeable and professional.
