On the website, the kids papers and menus it clearly states "one free kids meal with purchase of EACH adult entree." it doesn't say on separate tickets it doesn't say only for one it states EACH and they tried to say that's not correct and charge me. I had been coming there every Tuesday because of the deal with my cousin and we have never had to worry about it but they have a new manager there (Angelic) and she told me I was incorrect that the system won't allow it and that they have never done that. she argued it up and down yet boom it's in the advertisement. Really good, value priced restaurant with an unbelievable menu selection. It is definitely dinner food so don't expect over the top presentation, but if you want good southern cooking, delivered hot and fast then Carolina Diner is a great choice. Prices are fair and portions are generous. Service was quick and friendly. The restaurant was clean, a bit worn but not to the point that it distracted us. Expect crowds for breakfast and lunch. read more

Normally when in High Point, we go to breakfast at IHOP but COVID19 has a lot of places closed. Thanks to YELP I was able to find this little gem. I've passed this location 50 times at least and never noticed it. Well breakfast was A1. My Pumpkin had a silver dollar pancake kids meal with scrambled eggs and bacon. My uncle ordered the meat lover omelet with green peppers and onions added. It came with grits and bacon. I had a side of hash browns with cheese and onions with a side of sausage. Everything was good. It came out hot and fresh. I forgot to mention this during COVID19 with Olivia a new server AND my order was CORRECT! With utensils and condiments? First of all let me just say...I have eaten here plenty of times. I placed an order for me and my fiance simple order the only thing I ever get there is the spicy grilled chicken sandwich. My fiance usually gets the same. This time he decided to order the spaghetti dinner with " meat"sauce and I ordered my usual with a side of fried squash and sauce on the side. Tell me why for the second time in a row I get a Fried chicken sandwich douced in sauce and an order of fried okra??? When I called to complain I was basically called a liar by both the young lady who took my order her name starting with an A and the manager Ivan,but I was also told I couldn't be refunded for my order which was $27 for two sub par AND incorrect meals. I will never spend another dime there and I advise anyone else to make sure you scrutinize your order prior to leaving the diner. Thumbs down to the customer service. read more

Stopped by about 9 on 3/10 ..it had been a long stressful day, didn't want fast food or a fast food environment but needed dinner.. The food was on point! I ordered eggs and corned beef hash, toast, and coffee. The toast was warm and well toasted, no weird fake butter taste. The hash had been crisped up on the grill, the eggs were light and fluffy. You could tell the grill was clean, and the person cooking cared about the food that was being made..it was refreshing ..whomever was cooking that night is a keeper! Carolina Diner, High Point. Plenty of parking in a private lot. Open 24 hours, so its a great place to go late night if you need a bite. Very traditional and old school diner look and feel. Booths, cool bar like counter seating, and tables for larger groups. I've been eating here forever. The service is up and down. But lately has been very good. Last 2 trips were closer to 5 stars, and I hope it stays this way! The menu is very large, with a huge breakfast selection, plates, sandwiches, salads, and something for everybody. First off let me just say that the burgers here are awesome. Matter of fact, the last one I got here beats the Mighty Hops Burger Bar. Its true. The double smash burger is one serious burger. I would highly recommend it. And for $8.99 its about $5 cheaper! The prices are great. Dont forget desert, they have a large selection and they do look good. I just havent been able to try one yet. All in all a great place to eat. They do to go orders so you can call in your order. The place gets busy at times, so thats a good option. So, Carolina's Diner is one of those places that you'll go to no matter how bad it is, just because they have a wide array of cheap food. It's a diner for crying out loud. The best is the breakfast, I would have to say. I don't know many people that would say no to a diner style breakfast given the opportunity. That being said, the service is a little all over the place at times. It can feel a little grungy and unclean, and the hustle and bustle of the place can make you feel cramped. Did I mention that it was a diner? The food is mediocre, but you can get a large amount for a little money. Don't be swayed by the three stars, I will go back given the chance. read more

I have eaten here over 100 times and love the food especially the Country Boy breakfast plate, I had lunch today after church and the food was very good as usual how I was shocked at how nasty the restaurant was today with dirty floors, nasty restroom, unclean tables (mine was dirty). While not overly busy and with plenty of floor staff, I was shocked to see the unclean condition of the restaurant. The food was still good but the low rating I'm giving this place is for the general appearance. I know you folks can do better. Perhaps the manager was off today? I love a good ol' diner atmosphere and that is exactly what Carolina's Diner was. Perfect. Plus, you gotta love a place that serves breakfast at all hours, definite bonus. As far as the food, again good stuff. I enjoyed my scrambled eggs, hamburger steak, and French toast. Diner food done right. The service here was great also. Our waitress was courteous, attentive, and on the spot when we needed anything. Thumbs up on service and staff, good job! Bottom line: Good diner experience. Old school family restaurant with old fashion family values, and old fashion work ethic amongst the staff. The portions filled the plate beyond what we could possibly eat. They serve their food hot and each dish puts a smile on your face with flavor. when you read the menu, you will do a double take if you cannot believe the prices are so reasonable for the amount of portions they serve you have to love the T-shirts that the weight staff wear! Each dish, the chefs, cook to perfection, never undercooked or overcooked. They serve too many pancakes, but they are delicious, we ate there three days in a row and each morning we felt because of the generous portions we did not need to eat lunch. We went for breakfast and were pleased with everything we had to eat. You could tell this is a place where the "locals" eat! This has been a favorite local diner for breakfast, lunch and dinner with homecooked meals and smashed hamburgers for 15 years. Stumbled upon this dinner thru a Yelp search while on vacation in High Point, North Carolina. Place is like most diners, small and intimate. It was clean on the inside and the staff was very friendly, as you would expect from a southern establishment. I went with my mother and cousin and we decided on omelettes since we didn't want to fill up before a cook out. I had a Philly Cheeseteak omelet with grits, hash browns, and a delicious biscuit.
