I've turned several friends and neighbors on to this company: they've got an excellent selection, great prices, and top-notch service. I love walking barefoot in our bedroom; the new carpet is lush, and feels wonderful under our feet! Spent $16,000 on carpet installation and experienced the following issues: - Headboard on bed scratched badly and beyond repair - new headboard cost is $599.00 - Makeup table in bedroom scratched and non-repairable - replacement is minimum $500 - Media Room - paint scratched on post - Media Room - antique media center scratched and gouged beyond repair - Media Room - wall paint dinged - Media Room - white paint on wall - Guest Bedroom Bathroom - paint on door - Antique rocking chair in bedroom has 2 foot scratch plus 3 other scratches - Numerous scratches and dings on desk in office - Shoddy paint repair on wall in Media Room Shoddy carpet installation and wallboards scratched. Seams in carpet apparent. Carpet not tight to wall. Sloppy installation in general. Partially addressed but not properly resolved. Incompetent workers and rude crew leader who could not speak English and ignored our requests. Bad news! Overall, this one of the worst experiences I have ever encountered with a vendor. When I walked in this facility Scott appears to be quite customer oriented. But that was what I though. After spending $4800+ and was due a refund because of incorrect calculation he became a wolf. I was due $336 and ended up getting back $171. First and foremost, the carpet that was left back the first day, the guys took it with them. He was most obnoxious when I walked in to collect the incorrect refund. Additionally, he reduced my refund by $50 stating that it because they have to come out a second time. This was not mentioned in the contract. No one even come to measure the floor. I gave him the measurement that I got from 2 reputable companies (Home Depot & 50flooring) yet he up the measurement stating it was more. When I challenged him, he said he will refund the amount. As a female I think that is what this company do, rip you off. Be warned!!! He lures you in as a great pretender. However, after spending your money he will switch into different colors like a green lizard. Nonetheless, it was pointless for me arguing with an idiot for less than $200 when I just spent $4800. NOT QUITE THE ONE! I visited this store today looking for flooring products. Like everyone else, they have a number of wood and wood-look products and they also sell carpet. I find that when it comes to luxury vinyl options, the selections are very limited, especially if you are looking for something subtle that replicates stone, or has little variance in shade. The shop is dark and crowded so it is difficult to really see the products. Also when I attempted to fully open and examine the display, it wouldn't fully open and bumped up against other items. Yes, I need to be able to put the items on the floor so that I can see them as they will appear in my home. and of course I need to walk on them. So, I simply need a more user-friendly experience. ***This is really like a warehouse so jeans and sneakers are best. ***Also, the entrance is on the backside of the building. read more

This is such a GREAT carpet place. We were referred by our realtor bc we wanted a quick sale of our home. The guys at carpet depot helped me pick a budget friendly, but nice carpet. It was super soft and looked great! The installers were prompt and professional. The company even gave me an update when they were on their way, which I really appreciated. We have since moved out of state, but I liked that carpet so much I wanted to get something similar for our new home. After getting 3 quotes of the same brand and grade of carpet all were about DOUBLE the price I paid at carpet depot for only slightly more carpet. Now if you are looking for a fancy showroom with an overpriced product, and pushy salesmen Carpet Depot is not for you. Yes, it's essentially a wearhouse with rolls and rolls of carpet. The hardwood and carpet displays are small, so you don't get the full view of the carpet, which is a downside. But if you know what you want and are looking to save signficant money go and see Edgar at carpet depot. The carpet we installed was done on time and looks excellent. In December 2019 we purchased a home and needed to replace the carpet, Chris helped us with this process and was always available and very helpful. Recently we had a few small issues with the carpet that needed repair. I reached out to Chris and his response was prompt letting me know the installation supervisor Eli would be contacting me. Referred to Woodstock warehouse location from Roswell b/c I needed Premium carpet within 1-3 days. Kerri was the carpet expert. I showed her what I liked and let her know I was looking for 48oz carpet as recommended by my installer. She showed me a few options but they weren't available in the time I needed, but she finally found one that was. I asked 3 times what the oz was but never got an answer and I was trusting her as the expert. It looked okay but I was still a little cautious since I only had the 3x3 sample to go off of. Carpet was delivered and installed but I'm so disappointed that this carpet is far from premium. I not only traveled farther but paid more and Carpet Depot doesn't "know what to tell me." Came in over a month ago and picked out new wood flooring. Already had $ on account from a previous order I canceled so the job was pretty much pre-paid. I was told that they were in the middle of vacation rotation that the guy I was speaking to was going on vacay the following day and that other guy would be back the next day. A note was left on the file to call me. Needless to say, I never heard from him. Stopped by a few days ago and spoke to another guy. Guess what? Got the exact same run around. One guy is on vacay, the other is leaving when he gets back, yadda, yadda, yadda. "What can I tell you? It's that time of year!" I was told. "Maybe you should call him tomorrow and REMIND him!" Remind him? Remind him to call a customer? Am I an employee now? Set up a time to get floor measured. No call, no show. Almost 50 minutes after the scheduled appointment I get a call from the guy saying he's "lost" and can't find the house. I ask him where he is and he hesitates to tell me because he's not really lost he's just taking his time. I tell him I cannot wait any longer, I have commitments and have waited almost an hour past the appointment time with no call from him or the store to explain that he'd be late, He apologizes and offers to come the next day morning at 9 am. Yup, you guessed it! Same thing, different day. No call, no show. I called the store and spoke to a woman who was assigned to answering the phone. She had no idea where he was but would call him. I wait another 30 minutes...nothing. Nothing from him or her. I called again and informed them that I'd be by next week...after everyone is back from vacays...which seems to be the main focus of their existence no matter when I speak to them... and let them know I'd be in to get a check for my refund in person. Do NOT use these people for your flooring needs unless you have a couple of months to waste. Business is definitely NOT the priority here, nor is customer service. In fact, their behavior demonstrates a complete lack of manners and respect for others. No calls, no show. Unexcusable. This place is a complete waste of time. The choices and add ons at other places were adding up so Carpet Depot was hired to install new wall to wall in our upstairs just around Christmas 2013. Picked out a berber that was soft yet durable in a good neutral color. Installers were professional and efficient. Sadly the carpet is not holding up and started pulling away from the edges of the stairs and at the seams less than one year in. I contacted Carpet Depot within the first year and they said someone would call me back. No call. Another attempt lead to no response, no follow up. Owner clearly didn't care after the sale was made otherwise he would have made good. Got the feeling jobs less than 5000 sq. ft. weren't his target audience. We needed carpet runners for 2 very long staircases. They had plenty of carpet to choose from and a ton of scrap rolls if you can use them. The scraps are much cheaper than ordering new, but our runners were too long to use their stock. Even though they ordered carpet from the manufacturer and then sent it to a binder to cut to size and bind the edges, it only took about 2 1/2 weeks from the day we ordered to the day it was installed. We are very happy with the carpet and padding which is extremely soft to walk on. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the installation isn't perfect. The fronts of the stairs didn't come out perfectly flat but it's not too obvious. I only see it because I've had to vaccuum it a few times and looking up close it's obvious to me. read more

Be careful with Carpet Depot. We had our hardwoods refinished and new carpet put in. The hardwoods have sanding marks all over them, uneven stain and they got stain on my basement carpet. The manager is blaming the unevenness on pet urine and the sanding marks as "normal". I have had the floors looked at by the project manager and other flooring experts, who agree they are marks from improper sanding and improper/uneven application of the stain and poly. The carpet went better, but they did scuff up the paint on the walls in just about every room. Also, when the movers put a scratch on the floor (which we had finished in a medium brown), the project manager "fixed" it with a RED oak colored pen. DO NOT do business with this company. read more

Did not get the service due to rude employee/owner. Carpet Depot was recommended by someone to me. When I call, I talked to the owner I think. While talking he gets another phone call and he tells me he to take a call and will call me within an hour (Rude and almost lost me there). He finally called back in 2.5 hours (I forgot about him already), told me that he would come measure the area that needed work. When I asked if he would bring samples with him, he strictly told me "NO". I have to go to his shop to pick out carpet I need. His warehouse is in Rosewell and I live in Suwanee (Not gonna happen). I asked him if he was open on Sunday he said no. I told to cancel my appointment he said he wiped me off. You can't be rude to your future customers. Not a good way of doing business. read more

You have to get past the first impression. I went with a designer who guided me to using this place. It's like a small "outlet" in a basement setting, nothing fancy. If I had been by myself I would've taken one look at the beer can display on the wall and walked right out. But she said, trust me, they're good, so I did. The employees are very laid back, but they know their stuff. Any kind of carpet you can think of, they have, and I do think the prices are better than at larger or fancier places. We went with a middle-to-high-end carpet, and it came out GORGEOUS. Thick and plush with a top-rated pad under it all. (We did the whole house!) They also did a special carpet we chose as a stair runner. It has a bold geometric pattern, and needed edging on just certain parts of it, so I was very nervous if they could line everything up properly. It was 100% perfection. I'm sure quality might depend on which crew you get and who's working on your job on any given day, but we got two fantastic crews for two huge installs. We also had floating laminate put over existing tile floor (a lot of it) and it looks fantastic. People come in now and their jaws drop when they see that flooring and the difference it's made to our home. Each of their two different crews were respectful, worked on very hot days, and worked two very long days. In addition, the carpet guys had to move a ton of furniture and they were great about it. I would use Carpet Depot again. read more

They walked me through the whole process and the price couldn't be beat. They came out for a free measure of my house and gave some great suggestions on things I may want to consider. After ordering, the installers were prompt and left the house so clean. My husband is very meticulous and walked around afterwards and was impressed with the quality of work that was performed. We have been using Carpet Depot, Roswell for two of our homes over the last 5 years. I wouldn't consider going anywhere else for flooring needs. Looking back, we have purchased carpeting, an area rug, and most recently hardwood flooring. Every experience has been exceptional! Matt, the owner, even came out to our house 3 times before we installed the hardwoods just to make sure that everything was going to go smoothly. He knew that we had a lot of questions and was extremely patient with us. The crew came at the scheduled time, worked diligently, and was finished by the end of the day. They cleaned up after themselves, and even figured out a way to work when the power unexpectedly went out for 2 hours while they were here! The quality of the flooring is top notch and they matched it to existing hardwoods seamlessly! Yesterday I went in to ask about having an area rug made and Suzanne was extremely knowledgeable and gave me three different price options and plenty of samples and boards to bring home. I love that they are are locally owned and that they aren't just trying to make a buck. They want their customers to be happy with each and every purchase.
