Mathew did an amazing job on my carpet. I bought a carpet shampooer hoping I could revive the look seeings how I love my carpet but it really didn't do the job. Finally decided to look at yelp for recommendations. I was impressed at Carpet Masters San Bernardino and was not disappointed, it looks like new. I had 2 Persian Heriz Rugs dating back to the 1920's from the area of Heris, in Northwest Iran. The Rugs were in storage, abused through the years by numerous pets and previous owner and in totally appalling condition. I recently took them out of storage to have them cleaned by Carpet Masters / Rug Masters at 648 S. Waterman Ave., in San Bernardino. Owner and carpet care specialists Matthew greeted me as I pulled into shop. An appointment for drop-offs and pick-ups is recommend, even though they offered to pick up and deliver. Matthew was very knowledgeable from the get-go and spoke to me honestly about the Rugs and the sad shape they were in. He recommended Rug Fringe repairs by his expert, a total urine treatment, shampoo and hand wash, also recommended a Fabric Protector Micro-seal and a felt top pad with moisture barrier. Frankly I was so impressed with his knowledge, I gave him the go ahead on everything. I had no sooner left his shop, and he texted me photos of the shampoo and washing treatment as it was taking place, which impressed me more, and gave me peace of mind that the Rugs were at the right place to be cleaned. Upon completion of the job, I made an appointment to pick up the Rugs and Felt Pads. The Rugs turned out awesome - everything from the stitching repair on the fringe, to the cleanliness, to the protective Felt Pads. Carpet Masters pulled a "no-show" on me today to clean my carpets. I called after the appointment time to see if they were still coming. I was told by the woman on the phone that I wasn't on the schedule. I asked if my Friday appointment for carpet repair was on the schedule, she said it was not. She stated that my appointments sounded familiar and that she remembered talking to me when I scheduled. She completely dropped the ball. So unprofessional. I was probably the worse case scenario. Red wine throw up on my carpet and mattress. I attempted to take it off with bleach so the stain was not cute (I uploaded pictures). Talking to them on a Saturday morning and Rick was very polite and helpful. Everything was clear to me with no suprises. A week later here we are with clean carpet and mattress!!!! No more smell, no more stain and they did it quickly. During the week they can probably squeeze you in fairly soon but Saturday fill up so call a few days before. We have a very large sectional. And with 4 kids and 5 dogs, it needed some TLC. I approached carpet masters with the initial intent of reupholstering the sectional. When they gave Me the price, it was almost like having to buy a whole new couch. Dick, who was the owner, was very polite and detailed when explaining the products and different services they offer. We finally decided to get the sectional cleaned. OMG!! when it retired, it was like a whole new couch! No spots, they cleaned the throw pillows and repaired the small hole in the arm rest. The carpet techs did a pretty good job, however, my family and I were NOT pleased with the owner Matthew Jensen. During this time of Covid-19, he showed up without a mask and when we requested he put a mask on, he stated he did not know what he did with his mask. We had to hand him a disposable mask and insist that he wear it prior to continuing to clean. We also requested he wear shoe covers as he was was walking around the house in his filthy shoes, to which he refused, citing that it was against the state law due to potentially slipping and falling. We researched this and found him to be totally incorrect. During the time of this pandemic, we all need to take extra precautionary measures, and Matthew Jensen's refusal to comply is reason enough for me to advise against using this company. read more

Matthew was very responsive, giving us a competitive estimate over the phone as well as an appointment within only a few days. We were not sure what to expect, since the tiles in our 1950s home looked dingy and dirty no matter how much we had tried to clean them ourselves, but we could not be happier with the result. Luis arrived on time and went above and beyond to ensure every area of our bathroom and kitchen tiles were cleaned thoroughly. This included multiple passes over more heavily stained areas with the cleaning equipment and scrubbing especially tough spots by hand. Luis even moved a heavy marble-topped dining table himself so he could clean under the legs. He was very accommodating of us staying at home while he worked, including my very curious 2-year-old. Despite our tiles requiring more time and work than originally estimated, Carpet Masters did not charge us a dollar more than we were quoted in their original bid. These guys are awesome. My sister used them to clean my loveseat when I gave it to her and it was $100 which was a tan, microfiber, large love seat. It had years of dirt and cat hair on it. These guys picked up the couch from my apartment and delivered it to her new place a few days later. When I saw it, it looked brand new! Of course when I needed my couch cleaned (matching couch) I called them. The guy on the phone was really nice, asked a lot of questions and answered all of mine. He gave me a price and said it may be less, but it won't go over $150. He let me know that they can't return it in less than a few days because they had to clean it multiple times which the couch would need time to dry each time. So, I thought about it since I could find someone to come out to the house and do it for cheaper but they'd just be cleaning it once and they wouldn't be delivering it to my new place. Just the delivery and then drop off of a couch would run $100. I like that they have a factory/warehouse thing where they take the furniture. Much better than someone who comes out with a machine. Anyway, the guys who came to get the couch were awesome. The owner called me the next day about a repair I had inquired about and explained the process in detail. I chose not to repair it at that time because I couldn't afford it but I didn't feel like he was trying to get over on me. So, a few days later they dropped off the couch and the guys were pleasant again. The couch looked amazing. The pillows were a lot more stiff which was good because, before, it felt like they were super flimsy. Oh yeah, they cleaned the 5 accent pillows as well. Anyway, I was very pleased. $150 is a lot of $ to me, but it sure beats buying a new couch! read more

Again, on an emergency we called another carpet cleaning company to come in ASAP, which they did. I called Dick back to cancel. He was VERY RUDE, starting yelling at me because we cancelled. I can not say how impressed I was with the outcome of my severely soiled wool rugs. Carpet Masters took the time to make sure they looked brand new again. Two-men field installation crew began work at 10AM and completed work by 5PM sharp. Their pricing including material and install (carpet, padding and installation) is competitive, and the quality of installation is definitely one of the best that I have witnessed. The crew also helped me moving my heavy furniture around the house for ease of installation. They were careful with my belongings, didn't damanage anything nor soiled any existing furnishings. I purchased a high density roll carpet with high resistance to pet stains under their recommendation. The seams between the rolls were very well hemmed/adhered, the edges were immaculate. Very happy with this service. we have a six month old Newfoundland puppy who is in a very destructive time in his life. Carpet masters repaired a bottom stair in under an hour. unfortunately, we did not have any leftover scraps of our carpet so they had to pull out carpet from one of our closets and use that to repair the stair. We had scraps of a different carpet that they installed in the closet. They did a great job on the stair and the closet. Would definitely use them again. read more

Our church had a back up in the bathrooms. I called Carpet Masters at 9:15 AM and they were here at 10:15 AM, they quoted me $170, which included cleaning the carpet and a blower to dry the backed up area, after they started working, they came back and told me, the backed up area wasn't that bad and that I didn't need a blower and charged me $145. They even mopped up the bathrooms and cleaned out a carpet stain on an area not affected by the backup. Super nice and the outcome is cleaned, smells so good and fast! read more

Don't know where to start! Finding a reputable carpet cleaner with good customer service and reasonable prices is no easy feat. After showing up an hour late, giving me an outrageous bid, and leaving the door wide open nearly letting my cats out and showing no sign of customer service or professional courtesy, I kindly asked them to leave. I honestly felt that that they had no interest in doing the work and they gave me zero confidence that I would feel comfortable having them in my home for any amount of time. The best part was when the owner called, not to find out why I canceled but to chew me out for canceling. It is hard to believe how little these small business' value customer service in a world where business' like this are going under every day.
