I was out of town but had my dog sitter staying at my home when the sewer backed up in one of the bathrooms. I called Carr to come snake the issue (I used one other time) and they came on 1/6/26 to do. I was flying home so not at the house but my neighbor was. When I got home there was a mess from the back up but all seemed to be working except when I went to use my kitchen sink. The water underneath the sink was shut off and low and behold somehow the garabage disposal connection was blown off. So I called Carr back and they said the plumber wasn't underneath the sink. I sent pictures which clearly showed something happed and how did the water get turned off. They sent another plumber out the next day to look at the sink. I had to purchase a new garbage disposal (mine 1 year old), then they said my water line was clogged. So had to purchase a new facuet and they came back the following day. That plumber, Dave, was excellent. But now, I'm in deep. Between the snake, installation, purchases of the products I'm out around $1250. To fix all of this took 3 days. Three weeks later, 2/3/26, my shower drain starts backing up with water. I called Carr to inform them of this and obviously something wasn't snaked all the way. I asked them to come out and fix it correctly. The receptionist pulled up my account and said there was nothing in the notes on way it was clogged which was "weird" so she contacted the service manager, Walt Smith, and he came back to me and said that "I need to find a new Plumber." I was shocked. I give businesses every opportunity to do the right thing before I ever would write a negative review. This company just doesn't do it right. When I asked others about this, they said when this has happened to them, their plumbers, have come back out (yes a month later or so), snaked it again, all at no charge. This is the right way to do business. This will be cross-posted on other sites. It has been posted in my neighborhood (over 2000 residents) which has put them on a no contact to use for plumbing. I was referred to another plumbing company that came out two hours later on the day I called, scoped the drains so I have camera footage, and snaked the shower drain. It's all fixed. Yes, I had to pay for the new plumber but my problem is solved. And I have an excellent, reliable, and honest new plumbing company. I would never recommend nor use CARR plumbing for anything again. read more

I needed a small job done on my guest bathroom. I was told they would be out there between 8-10am the next day. At 9am the next day, a guy called and said the guy who was supposed to show blew off work that day. He said he was working on a remodel but would be over by me between 12-3pm. He didn't sound too happy that he had to take my job. I sat around my house waiting for them all day. By 4pm with no show and no call, I texted him that he was fired and don't bother showing up. I then called DND Plumbing who believes in customer service. Their communication is stellar. They are great guys, do great work, and treat people fairly. I scheduled an appointment with this company and they forgot to put me on the calendar before giving the spot to someone else. To make it up to me they said they would have someone over that same day. Spent 4 hours waiting and no one showed up. They then didn't even have the courtesy to call the next day to apologize. Too many plumbers out there to settle for these jokers. I ended up going to Home Depot and bought the replacement part for my hot water heater and replaced it myself. Had a tech, Joe H, come out on Memorial Day Sunday. He was in a great mood and very professional. Didn't mind working the weekends from what I could tell; top notch fellow. He worked with me to unclog a main line, asked a few questions after some investigation (I have 2 big dogs so he wasn't able to come in and out of the house). Using my information, he did his thing from the roof and got the problem solved. The prices were a bit higher since it was a holiday weekend, which I expected since no other companies were on call. Joe was very up front about the price and I ended up paying exactly what he quoted me on the initial phone call. No issues whatsoever on my end. Extremely happy I can use the toilets for my Memorial Day party! I saw some negative feedback on here before I called, but I always take Yelp reviews with a grain of salt as this site tends to attract complainers ;) R Carr is A-OK in my book and I'd use them again without hesitation. The lady who wrote up our new toilet installation was very cordial and the plumber who put it in ( I forgot his name , but he was very tall) did a great job. It was a difficult task, because the warped floor and my pipe flange didn't like the elongated toilet base, but using his enginuity and great patience, he got the job done, then hauled the old 40 year old standard based one down the long stairway to the dumpster and did a faultless cleanup of the excess grout. A normally one hour job took him over three, almost four hours, but he didn't grumble or charge me any more than the original bid.. I'd have him back again on any future work, that's for sure. Not only did he quickly and accurately fix the problem, but he also was very reassuring in a stressful time! OK...so we have had 5 slab leaks in less then 7 months and yes, a great company always found the leaks.......drilling through our tile/hardwood floor under the slab each and every time. Then we got our regular plumber, good guy to fix the leaks. And yes, we had a great contractor to repair the floor. $1,000 out of pocket each time. The 6rh leak, the expert leak detector said he would not drill through the travertine bathroom floor....until I researched an alternative plan. He said, research slab leaks on the web and then contract with a good company to repipe your home (8,000 sq feet with 5 bathrooms). 5 estimates and 3 weeks later we chose R Carr Plumbing. They were NOT the least expensive or the most expensive but Greg their rep, seemed to have all the right answers w/o just trying to get us to sign.He made us feel special and took the time to explain every thing that would be happening. The clincher was talking to Rodney, the owner...fantastic man that really seem to care about who he sends to each and every home. A week later we chose R Carr The following week, 2 of the best techs that ever set foot in our home arrived at 8 AM ready to work. They worked every day till 3 PM (when the attic got over 110 degrees), w/o taking breaks, lunch or sitting around. 8 business days later, they still showed up at 8 AM, was so very careful about everything in our home,cleaned up after themselves every day , treated us like "real people" and not just another job. If I could give Wally & Dr J 10 stars I would....best guys ever that did work in our home. Over the top as Greg was. They did exactly what Greg indicated....over the top! Finished the job , and get this, 3 days later then the estimate indicated but did not try to charge me even $1.00 more.....now that's one fantastic owner that does the job the right way. And if they, do this big job like this I can only imagine how they feel about a small plumbing job. For me, there is no better company anywhere.
