How thick breading was just on one side of the Eggplant
    John A.

Sunday night dinner wasn't up to snuff. The main dish, Eggplant Parmigiana was too thickly breaded thus the actual Eggplant was hardly noticeable. After eating some, I started to remove the breading to find the Eggplant. See pictures as evidence. On top of that the Eggplant still had its skin on it which typically is removed before cooking and serving. This was the only bad thing that stood out as my server was EXCELLENT. Thank you Nycole for looking after me. Food staff please make some adjustments on your type of breading and the breading as it needs to be lightly breaded. Eggplant also needs to be thicker and skinned. Thank you!

Good food but slow service when sitting at the bar. It was better than waiting for a table, but the bartenders barely stopped by. I asked for water 3 times before I got it and ordering took forever, as did the check when I was done. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It WAS busy so that's part of it, but most Carrabba's are.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Food wise, the salad was a little overdressed and not the most fresh ever, but it wasn't terrible. The Shrimp Linguini dish could have used more shrimp than it had, but it was flavorful. The Italian Old Fashioned cocktail I had was OK. It kind of just tasted like Southern Comfort. I switched to the Chianti with my dinner as I wanted to bring my inner Hannibal Lector while dining on those entrails... I mean linguine noodles. I'm sure there are better places at which to dine while in Macon, but it was a cold rainy night and it was close to the myriad of hotels nearby.

I haven't dined at Carrabbas in years. I gained a reward by dining at Bonefish but I decided I would use it here. Calamari is one of my favorite things to eat, and I know first-hand that Carrabbas can deliver great calamari. Many places have the onion ring looking calamari and those can be good too. Don't get me wrong. But these are the real deal. The ricardo sauce pairing is and will always be my preferred dipping sauce. Since I haven't had the opportunity to tell you personally, here it is. Congratulations Lester Gilbert! Yes, your whole government name. (Giggles)

After another long day in the car, we stopped for dinner here. The place was mobbed but luckily, found a place at the bar. My salad was good as was my chicken piccata. The 9 oz Chianti was a perfect complement. Considering the crowd, service was attentive. We will have to remember to stop here next time.

My steak that was ordered well done though came out still bloody.

I do not like to write bad reviews though I couldn't keep myself from doing it this time considering all the things that went wrong. We had a reservation at 8:15 pm though we did not get to sit down until 8:45 after that we waited from 8:45 until 9:49 on our food. The waiter would come to our table several times and forget to refill our drinks and bring us bread and oil. He sent a lady to refill our drinks not only did she try to give us the wrong drinks she also ignored me when I tried to tell her that the drinks weren't ours. She walked away after rolling her eyes at me while I was still talking to her. In the picture you will see the steak I ordered well done. I did not want to wait any longer so I ate it like that.

We had the pleasure of being served by Nitra - she was a delight and communicated with us when there was a delay post seating and even checked on the progress of our app without being asked. The decor gives rustic Italy with a modern twist. The noise level was average and the kitchen was booming! The help of runners allowed the servers time to be attentive to guests and food to come out hot and fresh. Not a stranger to this chain, I always like trying it in different cities. We started off with salads -- their Italian and Caesar salads are always a hit my family and I. I always take part in the mozzarella marinara as my app - if you're a dipper like me - ask for two extra Mariana sauces upfront! For our entree, I was happy the rigatoni al forno was back even if it didn't have enough meat to my liking but overall I gave it a 3.5/5 on flavor. My parents got their usual -- Tuscan-Grilled Porkchops with side of garlic mash and sautéed broccoli & the Chicken Parmesan with sautéed spinach. We all opted for shredded cheese on top of our meals - Yum! Once the food arrives go ahead and ask for a to-go box because you'll definitely need it! They give you double portions on just about everything!! But just in case you want triple the left overs, they offer a $10 pasta to go. I usually like this special because I can try a new pasta that's different from my meal! P.S. The owners here are no strangers to hard work and dedication. You will see them engage with customers AND waiting tables! Love to see it!

I still enjoy going to Carrabba's with my family. We went this time when they had the "Winter" menu. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Sunday atmosphere was good and the staff and service was great, very humble.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My mom and aunt got the new menus item with the Big plate of Short Ribs over mashed potatoes with a Marsala wine sauce, Was very good! All our food was delicious. All in all we'll keep going back as long as they keep up the atmosphere and good food.

I purchased the side of spaghetti with meatballs as a takeout dish. The side is something the restaurant does not advertise but it does sell. It's a smaller portion. The side of spaghetti was only $4.95 If you wanted meatballs you could purchase one meatball for $2.30 or three for $4.00. I purchased the three meatballs extra. The dish came with olive oil and herbs and bread. It was delicious. And filling. The regular meal came with a soup or salad and of course a larger portion for $17.99. I decided I didn't want that much food and that's why I purchased a side. As you can see from the pictures it was a nice ample amount of food and I was filled. I only paid $9.49 for everything. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant has a quaint feel to it. It has a higher end feel than olive garden.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The crowd appears to be more settled as well. Older people. The executive, golf club member, retired, elderly and visitors to Macon.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant has an intimate setting with dim lights and dark wood interior and ample parking.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food was delicious. And easier on my budget. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The setting was nice intimate and laid back.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Employees were professional and friendly. I will be back to try other dishes.

Our granddaughter wanted to eat at Carrabba's during our trip to Macon to visit the Science Museum and see the Christmas lights. We got there at a great time (around 5:15) because there was no wait. Our server, Simone, came right over and took our drink order. Another server brought our drinks along with bread and herbs to mix with olive oil, which she mixed for us. Simone came back and took our order. Our granddaughter ordered Chicken Parmesan with mashed potatoes. My husband and I split the Chicken Marsala with mashed potatoes and a Ceasar salad plus the Creamy Parmesan Salad. Simone checked on us multiple times, as did other restaurant employees who took our dirty dishes away. The overall service was excellent and they had it decorated so festive for Christmas. The restaurant was clean and very comfortable. Our entrees were delicious and they even split the chicken Marsala for us. (I love that). We would all highly recommend this restaurant and I hope you get Simone. She was fantastic!!

Excellent!!! Excellent server in the waitress named Malaysia, excellent food, excellent wine selection...whatever they have done differently in recent months PLEASE continue to do it!!! Best in Macon

Pasta was served messy, and ingredients among our 4 top was grossly unequal

9/17 Wine Dinner was sub par at best. Staff not prepared not enough tables set up. You must RSVP, so they had to know how many were coming?! Food was just ok, you could tell they were understaffed and it showed big time. Manager did their best

The floor manager look like this
    Chris C.

The front of house manager here looks like Tobias off of Arrested Development. Food is excellent here, but the hostess stand needs improvement. No one knows how to use the computer check-in system properly. It leads to confusion and fights. Tobias tried to fix it, but he really didn't add any credibility to the situation. I was too busy laughing because he definitely look like Tobias from Arrested Development. It's definitely either Tobias or Kip from Napoleon dynamite.

I don't know how to describe the inside of it, it's like they're port holes everywhere like the place used to be a seafood restaurant, but then there are oddly painted walls and they played alternative music. I should also mention that I am celiac and called before I went in and they seemed fairly knowledgeable about what was gluten-free and what was not. They also had gluten-free soy sauce for me. We ordered the filet mignon carpaccio, which came out thicker than expected and not as rare as expected but still great! I didn't know how the mango would work with the dish, but it was a nice touch. We also got the tuna tartare, which was mostly avocado and chunkier than expected. I would skip this dish. For my entree, I had the Tiger roll. It was a generous portion and loaded with fish. It tasted pretty fresh and the combo on flavors worked for me. It was about when I was done with my roll, when I overheard that there was an all-you-can-eat option. Located in Downtown Macon, parking is available via street parking. Finding a close spot on the weekend is like winning the Mega Million, possible, but don't count on it. We lucked up on this night and found a spot directly across from the restaurant. As we made our way to the entrance, we were unexpectedly greeted by a woman passionately yelling obscenities at us. Nothing like a little downtown ambiance to set the mood. Thankfully, the heavy police presence on every corner made me feel safe enough to proceed to the restaurant. Once inside, the chaos faded instantly. We were welcomed by a gregarious and friendly staff, informed them of our reservation, and were seated immediately. On this particular Saturday, they weren't overly busy, so we even had the luxury of choosing which booth best suited our comfort level. The atmosphere is intimate and upscale without being stuffy. Think dim lighting, elegant music, exposed ceilings, and décor that says "rustic charm" but also "yes, this entrée will cost more than $30." Our waiter was professional, attentive, and genuinely pleasant, the kind of service that makes you relax and stop checking the time. We started with cocktails: I ordered the strawberry lemon drop martini, and my husband opted for an old fashioned. Both were well-crafted, smooth, and strong enough to make us forget about the crazy lady outside. For appetizers, we each ordered the crab cake. You get one small crab cake, but it was tasty and respectable by Middle Georgia standards. Entrées are à la carte, so order accordingly. I ordered the Chilean sea bass with Brussels sprouts and spinach, while my husband chose the salmon with mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts. Both fish dishes were cooked perfectly and tasted fresh, with sauces that paired beautifully. The Brussels sprouts were crispy, flavorful, and addictive. My husband said his mashed potatoes were possibly the creamiest he's ever had. All of the food was outstanding. Dessert options include their 3rd & Cherry cobbler, cheesecake, and crème brûlée. Heads up: desserts are made to order and take about 20 minutes. Translation, order dessert early unless you're prepared to sit there long enough to contemplate life choices. The restaurant and restrooms were clean, which always earns bonus points. Overall, we had a lovely experience at 3rd & Cherry. It's an excellent choice for a special occasion, date night, or anytime you want to feel a little fancy without leaving Middle Georgia. We'll definitely be back.

Finally, the "owner" rushed up to seat us. Pleasant fellow, good personality and pleasant to talk to. Apologized and we moved on. The restaurant is almost cut in half with seating on both sides of door. Plenty of metered parking (free after 8pm). Luckily, we were sat in a cozy booth near the windows but we did have a reservation. The other side was more tables and less date worthy. Bathrooms need a bit of a touch up. We ordered the crab cake and caprese to start. Average crab cake too much filler, this is a pass. The caprese however was amazing. Healthy tomato's and a fresh burrata topped with balsamic. Very good, a definite reorder. For mains, I had the fried red snapper with Parmesan risotto this comes with tostones and a dipping sauce. Large fish, nicely seasoned yet a bit over cooked to the point of being dry. Hubby had the full pork loin chop with a side of mashed potatoes. This came with a fresh chimichura sauce and tostones as well. We were celebrating a birthday (on the reservation) so we ordered the hot chocolate cake. Pretty standard. I really think these are now mass made and ordered through food delivery. It was good but can get in multiple restaurants these days. Good vanilla ice cream. Service, now this is where they easily lose a star. Half hearted, disappearing, not engaged with a touch of attitude. They weren't busy, it wasn't late. We were in great moods. Who knows. While we will visit again when in Macon, we cannot have her again.
