I called the plumber and told him my shower was not mixing the cold. I told him on both showers. I thought it was a water heater issue. He knew what it was. He requested I took a few pictures of my shower handles and gave me a standard estimate. I was happy with the estimate and agreed to do the repairs. He arranged time to pick up correct parts. Don't write a lot of reviews. Sewer water randomly started bubbling up through our shower at 7pm on a weeknight. No idea what to do. Called Carrera's (found on yelp) and Paxton literally drove right over to assess the problem. Couldn't find the clean out drain anywhere, and kept at it until he located it 20ft into a crawlspace under the house. Instead of giving up, he called another plumber, and they came back the same night to snake out the drain, fixing the problem. They were there till 10:30pm. Really unbelievable, and totally saved us. Simply the best. Sink not draining due to a dozen years of the wrong stuff, apparently, going down the sink (don't blame us we've only been there two years and generally cook by microwave). For two hours Paxton and his assistant (Mr. Austin?) patiently worked their way down (below street level apparently) to get the drain open. Had another plugged up situation this time with a shower. Tried to snake it myself and the snake would just come up and out of a shower on the other side of the wall. Paxton came over and had the same thing happen. Then he tried the overflow drain of a nearby tub! Voila! the backed up water in the two showers suddenly drained completely as he was snaking the via the overflow drain of the tub. Nice trouble shooting! We called due to a random main water gate valve leak, in the middle of the night. I called multiple other "emergency plumbers" and only got voicemails. Called this number and the guy answered. I told him I wasn't sure how to stop the main line leak, and he pointed out I could just turn water off at the meter read spot. Probably an easy solution for him to think of, but would have taken me quite a while to figure out. Super thankful for for him answering the call and walking me through the fix! We've worked with the same plumber for over 20 years but medical issues have sadly ended his work. Had a pipe burst underground and hot water was flowing fast! I Yelped a plumber and found Carrera's Plumbing with all 5 star reviews. They were up-to-date and just what I needed to trust they would do a good job at a fare price. I called and Paxton said he was at a job but could come look at the issue in between service calls. He showed up in about an hour and although initially was taking a look to see what he was facing for tomorrow's repair, he stayed for a few hours and he and his assistant Victor got down and dirty digging up lots of mud, scooping out water, and repairing the pipe. It was a tight fit for their tools between all the pipes in this location but they were able to get the work done!! Victor was amazing!! Both Paxton and Victor was extremely nice and easy to work with. Very good people. We turned the water back on, crossed our fingers and not a drop more was seen. An emergency call like this usually would cost you a pretty penny. Paxton handed me the invoice and I was super happy with the more than fare total. I think we have found our new plumber, Finally!!!
