Today, it was something very simple in changing out a headlight bulb for my daughter's car. I've done this before, it's pretty easy to swap out bulbs. The young girl behind the counter was very nice and pulled up specs quickly but it's always easier if you have the old part out. She didn't want to sell me the wrong part and had a staff member go outside and pull it for me. I came in she walked me to through the replacements, which is helpful. Best part ( wait for it) I purchased the part and she had her colleague put it back in for me. It's always the little things that impress me, especially when folks go out of their way to be nice. This is my go to auto parts store ( my favorite).

Several customers were getting upset because of the wait. One of them asked if he was the only one working and he said his manager was in the back "making the schedule". After another 10 minutes waiting I asked him if he could ask his manager to help him. He went to the back for a few minutes then came back. He said his manager wasn't back there, and he didn't know where he was. I finally got up to the counter and the young man apologized for the delay. I let him know it was not his fault. I spent 30 minutes total in Autozone. At least I got my part. Three others in line waited as long as I did, only to find out their part was not in stock. It's possible that the labor shortage is affecting Autozone like many other businesses. However the manager should have been available to help his team member. I doubt I'll be returning to this location.

The woman helping me (didn't quite catch her name) was reluctant to help me. She came out with the device in a bath robe and slippers. She made no effort to help me with my car hood, which I assumed was their job to do since she worked at a car parts store. So, I ended up struggling with my car hood outside the AutoZone for about 15 minutes, right in front of the doors. I think it's needless to say I won't be coming back.

When it was my turn, the clerk readily located my items and double checked that they were an exact fit for my vehicle and they were. I had planned on spending several hundred dollars on chemicals, so I went down the street to o'reilly's and spent it there instead. I won't be back, since they can't even stay open during operating hours I expect they won't be in business much longer anyway. Employee was extremely helpful and not only helped me find filters but also installed them for free! The cost for both higher end filters was only $57 bucks with tax! Way better than $135,! As a person without a lot of mechanical knowledge, this is my go to place now, much, much better customer service than competitors, thanks guys!
