I went to this AutoZone on 1/09, around 4:45 pm ish after an oil change. I was told that my battery was not doing so hot so I went to AutoZone to get my battery tested. The woman helping me (didn't quite catch her name) was reluctant to help me. She came out with the device in a bath robe and slippers. She made no effort to help me with my car hood, which I assumed was their job to do since she worked at a car parts store. So, I ended up struggling with my car hood outside the AutoZone for about 15 minutes, right in front of the doors. I think it's needless to say I won't be coming back. read more

I went to purchase passenger rolling sunshade and it comes in there two in the box when I purchased it I tried to receipt I'll go back and I spoke to the cashier and explained my situation to McKay when I purchased it there was only one shade instead of two can you please check and see what's going on or look up my number and verify I purchased it here which I threw the receipt out when I purchased it now it was my fault for not checking the box and I explained that you called the manager. He asked me for my ID. I provided my ID to him. He said, go ahead and get another one and I went to get another one. I opened the box they were still in there. I handed the box to the manager who's trying to do all that exchange. I'll go to look for something in the store. Then I went back to the counter manager gave me the box. Let me have a good day then I get in my car open. The box is only one sheet in the box. Basically he took one out and gave me one and I'll go back heated. I spoke to the cashier like what's going on here. Why you guys keep playing with me I just came back and checked. It was one only roller shade in there was supposed to be two and the cashier go grab one and throw it at me and say now you can leave that is very unprofessional very rude. All the staff near me to be trained. Customers are always right for the cashier to act that way, and the manager was running in front of him did not say nothing to him. It's very unprofessional. Sorry to say he just lost a customer of 14 years. I would not recommend a space to anyone if you want to get treated bad go there and just an FYI that cashier that spoke to me badly. I had went in there to pick up a part i had ordered a couple weeks back . 2 employees were working at the time. Daniella and i think his name was Donnie B? Not sure . Daniella was clearly new at the job meanwhile Donnie B seemed to have been working jobs that had made him angry for several decades . The part didn't come up in her system so she asked Donnie B for help 2-3 times . And finally he comes up to me obviously annoyed and gives me a rude .. very rude look and says " what can i do for you?" In a tone that indicated he didn't want to be dealing with me what so ever . I told him i was looking for a part i ordered and he then again told me it wasn't there. I brought up my emailed proof i ordered the part and he said " if you don't have a receipt i can't help you" again in a rude tone and kept the same annoyed face that he looks like he carries through out his day.. Everyday... so i walk out annoyed . I Come back in with the receipt i had to go find even tho i gave them proof . He offered to help me again and i refused . Daniela also offered to help me and i just smiled at her because she seemed nice and not angry at life like the other employee . I was waiting for the manager to check me out . I gave him the receipt i found and he instantly found my part basically directly behind the register. A part that had a sticker on it containing my full name and number. The same name and number i had given to the two other employees beforehand . A quick 30 second in-and-out of autozone was all it took from a competent manager . Again Daniella seemed new . no blame what so ever . Donnie B was 100% the problem and should be setting an example to new employees. read more

A guy by the name of Alejandro should be fired entirely. I walked in and had asked him if they had 0w-40 Oil as i couldn't find any and wanted to know the recommended brand. He pointed me towards the back corner, i couldn't find it so i came and asked again nicely if they had 0w-40 to put into a Mercedes g63. To my face he said, and i quote "they don't pay me enough for this shit" i said "what did you say" he then began to repeat himself then stopped himself and said its just right here, so i had asked, "this is your job right?" he replied "no" i said, "aren't you supposed to help customers" he then grabbed a can of WD-40. i said "no i want 0W-40" He then asked if me if thats what i had asked for, after i clearly mentioned 0w-40 for my Mercedes. I asked who is manager was and he lied "I'm the manager." then he went to the back room and lied to his actual manager stating that i had said WD-40 not 0w-40. I then spoke to the true manager which he apologized for and said he'll talk to him. Ive been coming to this auto zone for years and have been treated well by a couple of the workers. Alejandros dire customer service, lack of professionalism and blatant disrespect resulted to me giving this location a one star. We have a family business, if any of our employees dealt with a customer in the way i was dealt, they'd be fired that day. read more

I made it to this location and their employee Miguel helped me out right away! He was very nice and informative! I'm not familiar with this area so I hope I have the right location,but I do know I was at AutoZone and in El Cajon. My friend had been having issues with his truck the day before when I wasn't with him and had gone to the AutoZone . I'm not real clear on the specifics of that visit but it's my understanding that the employee (manager) DANIEL GUFFEY had helped him. Actually, a young man helped him and because my friend was returning some item, the manager needed to authorize the transaction. Which, turned out to be best being that there was a huge mistake in the amount owed and had Mr. Guffey not noticed it could have been HUGE of a loss to your business! Hundreds of dollars! Anyway, it turned out that the following day my friend realized the truck he was working on had the right bolt but needed the washer that goes with it. This time I went with him back to AutoZone. Mr. Guffey looked up the part(washer) but found it was not available to purchase. It was Saturday night, not many places open and he really needed that washer. Well, Mr Guffey went in back and found the old part my friend had returned the day before and we purchased it and things worked out and the truck was repaired and I'm writing this review because I hope the corporate of this business sees this and sees that they have a very honorable employee working there. Mr. Guffey must really have a heart for helping people and is happy with where he works. If not, it doesn't show. Less and less this world is losing its good customer service and when I see it still present and employees who still give a care about helping customers,I am persuaded to speak up and commend that person's effort as well as put in a good word and recommend that business to others. Came here for a fuse for my cigarette lighter, found it online and could not find it under all of the other stuff so I asked the gentlemen that worked there. He proceeded to laugh at me because apparently it wasn't a fuse and it was a circuit breaker, laughed at me throughout the whole experience while i asked questions. My battery kept dying so my Pop told me to come here n get my battery tested and they'd tell you how long a life your battery life would be and whether nor not you need a new one, and they did. They tested my battery and by George I needed a new one, I'm really not sure what batteries run but I just got one there and was in and out in 10 min! The headlight on my car went out and I knew this business name is generally helpful in figuring out which light you may need. I checked on the their website first but it still wasn't completely clear which light I needed for my car so I needed someone to help me. I walked in around 4:00 PM on a Wednesday so it wasn't busy there at all. You walk in right near the register and I was not greeted by the one guy on a computer up at the register. I found the lights right away and was really hoping for one of those devices you can type in your car and it will confirm which lights you should get but that was not there. I went to the end of the aisle back towards the register and saw the cashier was helping someone. I just stood there so I could get help once the cashier was done but I was further ignored. I turned around to look for someone else to help me but couldn't find anyone. I went back up to the register and saw another person was up at the registers so I waited to be helped and was further ignored. No one would pay attention to me or even say they would help me when they were done cashing someone out or doing their research. I got absolutely no acknowledgment. After waiting for nearly 15 minutes to get some help I just left. I felt like crap for being ignored for so long. I was in a bright red dress and the only female in the store so I find it hard to believe I didn't stand out to them, especially since I stood near the registers. I am not really sure what their excuse is for ignoring me. I went to another store where I had a great experience. I learned my lesson, I will never come back here. read more
