The only reason I gave 1 star because its the only way you can post...This place is a piece of S##T the customer service sucks and I don't know who builds these trailers but they need to go back to fit and finish school to learn how to build things ,,I guess Carson Trailer does not care about QUALITY,,,more like how many they can sell per month....The sales guy is a joke called 3 times and yet to hear back..Oh but I will keep calling then I will call the owner..The business im in if we sent something like that out we would not be in business...But I guess they can all sleep at nite ...LOL.....Let me know how many people would buy a $20K car and take it with damage.... read more

Dang I should have read the reviews first I guess. My trailer was built in 4 weeks - a beauty! BUT, it was 2 feet too short - manufacturers error. Figured that out WWAAAYYYY to late. So far not a lot of help from Carson to fix the wrongs of my dealer - it's a long story and I'm out $1500 as a result. Boo. read more

Updated Post Now it gets worse, much worse. I finally got around to using the trailer for its intended purpose. I pulled it back to Missouri and when returning to Utah the tongue broke off the trailer while slowing down to make a turn. Fortunately the trailer rolled to the right side of the road and into the ditch. The hitch coupler had only been welded across the top, not continuously as per the instructions from the coupler manufacturer. I was shocked that Carson would not pay for any other expense than to have someone come out and weld a new coupler on it. So, there is my new white trailer with a black spray can paint job on a new coupler. The factory safety chains were ground flat and tack welded to the frame. The came right off with the coupler and remained on the tow vehicle. I have had to purchase new safety chains and a new wiring plug. Then I will have to weld the chains in place and reinstall the wiring plug. The warranty department at Carson said they won't cover anything but welding up the coupler. Had this trailer crossed the centerline of the trailer and caused a head-on collision we would all be looking at a horrendous lawsuit and possible fatalities all due to an irresponsible company that could care less about their products. They don't deserve another chance. There should be an option for no stars or even minus stars. First Post: I just picked up my Carson Car Hauler at the factory today. Went to pick it up and the brakes were not connected. I was told its an option and they quoted me something like 135 for a break away kit and 120 to install it. I can't believe they are too cheap to include a simple 6 or 7 way plug so the trailer would have brakes. I didn't expect much for the price but I did expect a plug for the wiring. Over quality, fit and finish is low grade. What a joke. There will be no carson trailers in my future. read more

All I can think is the owner must be a real prize. You can tell by the idiot employes that anyone who had any pride or skills wouldn't work here. The car hauler I bought looks like a 5 year old welded it. The people that work here won't ever call you back if you have a question,if you call there and the girl tries to transfer your call you get cut off or if you call you sometimes get a fax tone Just try to get parts and you will see how unprofessional this outfit is. Carson Trailer builds great trailers if you're in the business of hauling feathers! Anything heavier than that you should pass them up. I noticed after my first cross country trip using my Carson 18" cargo trailer that the tires were wearing on the inside. I took the trailer back and after inspecting it they said there was no problem and that I was loading it wrong. Well I never had that problem with my Wells Cargo trailer or my Highway 1 trailer. The next thing I noticed when I changed a tire is that they never put brakes on one of the axles. It was a cost saving measure for them even after me ordering the trailer with two 6000# axles for the extra weight I carried. I guess my safety did not figure in their bottom line. I Purchased a 10' x 6' utility trailer in AZ for my UTV on December 9th 2016, used it one time and returning home from Northern, AZ through a rain storm, the paint washed off the trailer. Carson refused to warranty the paint, stated the trailer was hauled through snow and the chemicals used to remove snow can tear up the paint... First off, AZ does not use chemicals on their roads and secondly, it was rain not snow. It did not snow until Christmas eve at which time the dealer I purchased the trailer from had the trailer in their possession trying to get Carson to fix. YOU GUYS SUCK! BUYERS BEWARE..... read more

We bought our 2005 Fun Runner from Carson in 2004 custom built. For the most part it has been a wonderful trailer for our family over the last 12 years. We started to notice a soft spot in the bathroom floor and knew it was some kind of water damage. Most likely coming from the generator compartment since our friends bought same trailer same year and had exactly the same issue as us but it occurred much sooner for them. Carson was able to repair their floor once due to the water coming from generator compartment so we were sure since it was same exact spot, it was same problem. Called my insurance who advised us to get a quote from a shop. They suggested Mike Thompsons, but we thought we would go back to the original manufacturer which was Carson Trailer in Gardena. I called Carson was transferred to Michel in Service and Warranty. She encouraged me to bring to them since they have proper material for our trailer. It all made sense. After 2 weeks of dealing with non sense with Michel that is too complicated to even go into detail, we couldn't yank our trailer out of their fast enough after dealing with her customer NO service. When I asked her who her boss was she said "Bill is the owner" and proceeds to put him on speaker, like as if I'm gonna talk to him about the issues I have with Michel while she is sitting right there. I said no I will call him back privately. It turns out the owner handles business so carelessly, it wouldn't surprise us if this place shuts down. I feel bad for the employees that do work here and give a damn about their jobs, if this place folds. No repairs were done (which was def a good thing). We found another RV repair center that has been more than accomodating. It was a shame that Carson Trailer has no appreciation for returning customers. This has definitely made up our minds to NEVER by a trailer here ever again. I will pass the word on to our trailer lovin families and others as well! Bye bye Carson Trailer! read more

Wish I would have read the reviews before the disappointment. Went in on a Sunday had an employee from the Norco shop filing in for the day. Told him what I was looking for but was on a time line moving out of state. I told him a damaged trailer in the would work but wanted a wider and longer trailer. Filled out an open order form and put my deposit down and waited for a call back. Received a call from Kevin explaining what the deal was he said he could do the trailer I wanted in my time line. Multiple calls after to see how my trailer was no calls back four days before I was supposed to leave my trailer hadn't even been started I wound up with the trailer in the yard not so happy about that but it worked. If you do decide to deal with these guys talk to alex he made the best of a bad situation. They reminded me to retorque the wheels every fifty miles nobody could tell me what to torque them to. hands down the worst experience i have ever had with a company. we have had our trailer for 10 years and the axles were bent from hauling concrete. decided to order new axles. was stuck with ron the whole time. he was happy to send over a quote and very responsive to calls before purchase. ordered the axles and had them shipped to my welder to be installed. they pallet arrived damaged (most likely the shippers fault) although the pallet changed hands several times. i would think a company like this would make sure they have a direct delivery service. the end caps on one of the axles were missing and the other 2 were damaged/bent. i called ron and advised him of this. he said he would send some more out. i have had to call no less than 3 times and every time he says he is sending more caps out. i have yet to recieve them, its been 2 months. i constantly call him and he is either on the phone or doesnt return calls. when i do talk to him his reponse is "we only take inbound calls". well that does your customer no good. will make sure not to recommend carson to anyone i know in the construction industry. read more
