I rarely ever post a review, but this one is called for. CarStar on Grand was recommended to me by State Farm for a body repair on my car. And I am so glad I took the suggestion and took my car there for repairs. Brian and his staff were all very accommodating, pleasant, prompt and professional. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Brian went above and beyond with the repairs and also throwing in extras like offering an uber service and even assisted to move my items from the rental car to my car and stayed late to get the work done. Now that is customer service that truly exceeds expectations. I was also under the impression that Nancy, the receptionist, had been at CarStar for some time since she was prompt, was very knowledgeable and extremely amiable. I was surprised that she had only been working at CarStar for a few m months. She was a natural at her job and was a perfect initial point of contact for the business. I used Car Star to repair a bumper and it came back looking great. The owner at Car Star is a true professional. He treats his customers with respect and doesn't try and over sell you anything. Wow, I didn't realize one could have such a positive experience with an Auto Body! Our Ford Edge Sport was rear-ended and needed bumper and quarter panel work, along with a new taillight. I setup an appointment with Brian and was greeted and immediately attended to upon arrival. Brian inspected the car top to bottom, took photos and explained every step of the process along the way. He's an expert on the insurance process, knowing who he had to provide the estimate/photos to and what information he would need from me. Once the estimate came back approved from the insurance company, he contacted me to setup an appointment and also facilitated the rental car. He had the rental car (he was able to get a similar size vehicle - Ford Escape) waiting at his shop when I dropped off the car. He kept me in the loop during the process, even when the taillight took a few extra days to come in. Upon completion of work, they washed the car really well and had it ready for me as soon as I arrived. The work they did is phenomenal and you would never be able to tell that there was body work done. Once again, throughout the process, Brian (and team) were a pleasure to deal with. The poor girl who rear-ended me never had a chance. (Black ice, silent killer). Fortunately for me, though, her insurance company accepted liability without much ado, and the whole experience ended up being not-so-bad. After the adjustor cut me a check, I went to Carstar, and they did their thing. They ordered the parts, arranged to have my rental waiting for me and finished the job all in a timely and professional manner. The work was great, but what really put it over the top was the bath they gave it. My car's never looked better. All I had to do was endorse the insurance check, and I was on my way. Brian, the owner, and Chad, his right-hand man, are super friendly and professional. I went here because they're close to my work and my mechanic recommended them, but I'd recommend them to anyone, even if you have to go a little out of your way. I'm particular with my cars. It's why I perform the vast majority of any sort of work for my cars personally. I can't trust anyone. I've been hurt too often. Everyone else is too impatient; with no eye for detail, no pride in their work. For the most part, I've been able to get by just fine with even the more intensive jobs; except for paint and body work. It's a field that requires a lot, more than I can sensibly handle in my position. Here enters Brian. Referred by a close friend in the industry that knows my quirks and quarrels. I went too fast for my own good one rainy morning and paid for it. Brian and his team took my car in that same day and sent a rental car to meet me at work before it was even lunch; day of the accident. He assured me he knew what to do, how to deal with my pearl white, and worked with me to obtain every single upgraded aftermarket component. Okay, service is spectacular, but fact is, he could have been the biggest prick ever, but if he did a good job, I'd still go back to him every time. My rule; quality above absolutely anything else. We've all seen bad work. On body work, and paint, a bad job is a nightmare. Getting things corrected in this field is struggle. When they do it, they have to do it right, and it has to be on the first try. It's so critical, it's nerve racking to wait. All I can say is Brian's work is prefect. He sees everything, and does it as it should. He knows how it should be, and gets it there. Panels line up, fitment is spot on, and that paint... Stirs the emotions. He'll point out every detail and let you know anything you want to. On top of being a great guy, Brian is competent, and does great work. I've taken my cars to him on 3 separate occasions, and even used him out of pocket for some customization. His prices are more than fair for what you get. I refuse to use anyone else. There's absolutely no point in settling for less, it's not worth trying to cheap out. The quality is too good here, everything else being spectacular makes this an easy choice. My car had been hit and I took it to CARSTAR to get fixed. Setting up the appointment and getting an initial estimate of the damages was smooth and easy. Brian especially was very kind and helpful throughout the whole process, even when it had to be delayed do to the other driver not wanting to cooperate with the insurance. Brian called me 3 weeks ahead of my initial appointment to let me know a spot had opened up and if it worked for me my car could be taken in the next day. I was able to take my car in and get it back in 3 days, I was offered a rental car in case I needed transportation. I was called and given continuous updates on the status of the repair until it was time for me to pick it up. I was pleasantly surprised to see Brian had taken it to the car wash earlier that day which I really appreciated. This was the first time I ever had to take my car in to get repaired and I would use CARSTAR again in the future and recommend it to others, do to both the high quality of work done and the outstanding customer service. read more

I went here to fix my bumper after getting rear-ended and State Farm was ridiculous. They made me a reservation with Hertz, who stated that they were in route but it doesn't take an hour to drive to a destination 9 min. away. Brian, the owner, set up a reservation at enterprise for me and had arranged for them to pick me up, too. He also ordered a new bumper, since State Farm had originally ordered a reconditioned one for a brand new car. He thought that it failed so he ordered the new one. I'm so grateful that the shop I chose to go to was at least helpful through this whole headache. My car looks as if it was never hit.. I highly recommend this shop. I had a minor dent in my bumper and my insurance didn't cover that it was a hit and run deal. I called my local mechanic, and they recommend CARSTAR. Brian, the 2nd generation owner, took time to explain more clearly than my insurance agent why I may not be covered. Not that he had to, but he was honestly invested in me getting answers and wanted to be as helpful as possible. I was so impressed that I setup an appointment right then. Service was superb, they took care of my car in a fast manner. They took out the dent, and readjusted my bumper a bit. It honestly doesn't look like anything happened at all! Communication should have been better. Took almost two weeks to replace a fuel door, and on top of that, they had the part but failed to contact me on when to come in. I know this was a super small job, but should have not took this long. If the owner agreed to give a discount on the job, i would have not giving them two stars. I have had my car fixed twice now at this auto shop and both times have been wonderful. Brian and his wife June are always so welcoming, helpful and considerate. I love that they are ready to help from the very beginning of the experience.
